The Terminator series has been my all time favorite since the first one. Avatar has taken cinema to a whole new level. 2 hours and 40 minutes seemed like half an hour. I left truly mesmerized.

This movie was awsome. I went into it with high expectations and this movie exceeded them. This movie will revolutionize the the way films are made from now on. I would put this movie on the level of Transformers 1 & 2 and the LOTR Trilogy. This movie is a must see in IMAX 3D; all other forms will not do it justice.

This movie has the best special effects, 3D, and action sequences I think I've ever seen. The visuals are stunning (at one point I literally found myself swatting at a gnat that wasn't really there). The sound rattles you to the core. When an explosion occurs you feel like you're going right up with it. The only thing missing is the intense heat and sudden death! If you're as into that as I am, then this alone will make this movie worth seeing.
Unfortunately, that is really all that makes this worth seeing. The story itself is merely repackaged environmentalist propaganda and the plot is extremely predictable. If you need more than good special effects and sound mixing to be satisfied, you will walk away disappointed.

First, I am not one to mince words. Second, I am not one to actually take the time to review a movie. Third, I am not one to see a movie more than once at any theater.
This movie was by far the best movie I have ever watched which compelled to write a review and see it twice so far, a third time soon I am sure.
Everyone I have recommended this movie to has loved and several have seen it twice.
The 3D effects are so perfect that I actually want to upgrade my entire entertainment center to render 3D when available on Blu-Ray.

I was very skeptical about whether I could empathize with the blue creatures, but this movie is amazing! So lifelike, and the movie is such an adventure. The 3D was amazing and not forced. I would see this movie ten more times.

This is best movie ever. You get everything... Amaing IMAX 3D experience. Sound and picture quality is excellent. I enjoyed the movie on every single moment in the theater. Worth spending extra bugs to see them in 3D.

This was one of the best movies I and my family have ever seen! I would pay to se it again and plan to buy the DVD for my house. We saw it in IMAX 3D and the colors and special affects were mind blowing! The story line was great, it was just an all around awesome movie. It is one of those rare movies that come along that will always be a classic great movie. I pray they make a part 2!!!

Superb adventure movie created in the best 3D I have witnessed. Story is wonderful and the sound and FX are awsome. I have not looked forward to up-and-coming films in a long time but the 3D previews look great and I am eager to see them all.

The special effects, the amazing 3D, the gorgeous visuals are an unrelenting treat for the senses, while the non-stop cliches, predictable plot, and pathetic dialog are mind numbing.
Will James Cameron stand up at the Academy Awards and scream, "I see you!" I'll bet he does.
This is an extraordinary collection of astonishing cinematic feats weighed down by astonishingly bad dialog and plot twists...it's an extended Ewoks vs AtAts that could have been fabulous beyond belief if it were an hour shorter and a writer had been involved. Still if you must see it, and you must, see the iMax 3-D version and be astounded, at least until your butt gets sore.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

It is difficult to believe that this movie has been in the "idea stage" for over a decade. Cameron was waiting for technology to evolve to the point that the movie could actually be made to his satisfaction. The result is a totally captivating event. It is a complete sensory rush!!

This movie is amazing! At first you're a bit confused by what's going on, but that only lasts about 3-5 minutes. It's just a very long introduction. This movie will make you stay on your toes the entire time. It's exciting and sort of reminds you of the story of the Conquistadores and Latin America, as well as sends a message about global warming. Maybe not a movie for your kids, just because of the strong content, but definitely a movie for all adults!

Beautiful scenery - enhanced by more sophisticated 3D technology, result in a movie that is a sight to behold. No sense of annoyance over wearing the 3d glasses. I quickly became immersed in the 3d environment and it was a disappointment when the movie came to an end.
The story line was also quite interesting. I overheard another viewer describe it as a "classic cowboy and indians plot", and though that was oversimplistic and not quite accurate, the story did portray the exploitation of natives by a group representing, the "military industrial complex"
This movie is a winner and will certainly becomes the benchmark by which all future 5 star 3d movies are compared

This movie leaves nothing for want. Don't let anything stop you from seeing this movie. I would gladly drive an hour and pay the admission fee to see Avatar in Imax 3D again. It is that good. You won't find a better movie to see this holiday season.

This is simply the greatest movie my family has ever seen. Two parents in their 40s and two boys, 15 and 11 . . . and we EACH loved it. There was a theme that resonated with each of us. It's an incredibly believable science fiction environment, with an amazing theme about the sanctity of nature and the need for preservation. See it. We'll for sure see it again!

Amazing, Wow, and Incredible is just some of what i can say about this movie... I went to see it with absolutely no expectations having read the hype associated with this movie and actually probably with some skepticism that nothing can be that good... From the beginning to the end i was amazed by what i saw and within the space of 20 minutes i believed what i saw on screen. This was nothing like the 3D animated movies i had ever seen in the past and this was definitely the future of movies to come. The premise of the movie was good and i felt the end dropped quite fast but overall the story good. The visual effects blew my mind .. Go see it please, you will not be dissapointed !

I found the production an overall success. The scenery fantastically portrayed with the 3D effect startling. The interaction of the Na'Vi with the humans was dramatically portrayed, especially with respect to the different physical sizes. Plenty of action, and sadness coupled with joy and new experiences. I recommend this to anyone to wants to see the next step in movie production and viewing.

This movie is mind-blowing. Everyone needs to find an Imax theater to see this - although I am sure it is amazing on the regular big screen as well. I had read some critical reviews, saying that the story was weak but the visuals were fantastic. The plot of this movie was very cohesive and brought a message without being "preachy". I am telling everyone I know to see 'Avatar' or they will have missed out on one of the best movie experiences ever. Kudos to James Cameron - you genius!

The storyline has been done before, many many times but never in this fashion. If you go see a movie, do yourself a favor and see this one in 3D at an IMAX theatre. Avatar is probably the best movie I've seen...ever...again not so much for the story as the way it was done and the emotions it evoked.

I had several friends who saw this movie tell me it was beautiful but the plot fell short. With that in mind I didn't have high hopes for the story but wanted to see it in IMAX 3D for the visuals.
After the show I have to say I was really immersed in the story despite my thoughts going into it. Yes, it is predictable but the science and thought that went into every aspect of this film are incredible. It's a must see for me but you need to see it in IMAX.

"Incredible" was the only word that I uttered after the movie. That someone (James Cameron) and his team could put together something so immense and wonderful was, for me, well, "Incredible." What an effort; what a triumph. If there is any criticism, I will just say that the much of the story reminded me of "Dances With Wolves," so it was a bit formulaic and predictable. Nevertheless, though much of this plot line has been visited before, no one has come close to presenting such a futuristic production. I literally felt as if I was on some iconic ride at Disneyworld than at the theater. A truly "Incredible" experience.

My husband Son and I saw Avatar at the IMAX in 3d, and I would only say to others, do not settle for anything less, or you will not truely experience this Movie..
As far as I am concerned I was on another planet experiencing all the wonders it had to offer.
Unlike other 3d movies I have seen, this 3d enhanced the movie not exploited it.
Visually stunning,timeless story, and message for the ages....

Wow, what a flick. This movie raises the bar on whats possible in CGI. The technology used by Cameron to create this incredible new world will change how people see and make CGI movies. Yes the plot was a familiar one but never before has it been presented in such a way. The flawless world crafting employed by Cameron pulls you in. Before you know it you are seeing the Na'vi not as computer generated puppets but as real and vital individuals. See this movie how it is meant to be seen in IMAX 3-D, it is that rare movie thats worth the price of admission.
