The movie exceeded my expectations in re visual effects. IMAX 3D, from Disney. What more can one say. However, I had some concerns as to how the story line would proceed from the 1st Tron since Flynn's character leaves the digital world in that ending. Both my daughter and I felt the writers made a good transition. There was also interesting character and plot developments. Jeff Bridges does a good job. It seemed he was an older and wiser, "dude" This kind of sci-fi is what 3-D is made for.
Beautiful scenery - enhanced by more sophisticated 3D technology, result in a movie that is a sight to behold. No sense of annoyance over wearing the 3d glasses. I quickly became immersed in the 3d environment and it was a disappointment when the movie came to an end. The story line was also quite interesting. I overheard another viewer describe it as a "classic cowboy and indians plot", and though that was oversimplistic and not quite accurate, the story did portray the exploitation of natives by a group representing, the "military industrial complex" This movie is a winner and will certainly becomes the benchmark by which all future 5 star 3d movies are compared
