Great movie!! This was our second time seeing it in 3D IMAX. We saw things we didn't notice the first time. As a SCUBA diver my favorite creatures were the 6' tall Christmas Tree Worms in the beginning. In real life their about 3" and zip away in the blink of an eye.

It's not that the movie wasn't good, it's that it wasn't as good as everyone made it out to be. Visual effects were definately cool, so it was worth seeing in IMAX 3D. I liked the eco-friendly message, but story was generic and long.

My family and I just loved this movie - not only were the special affects out of this world but the music was also wonderful !! The only gripe I had with it was the "sensuality" part. There was a very short part when two of the characters were - we were told - "mating". I did not think this appropriate and it just seemed "icky!" and out of place in this film. Other than than ---the film was Fantastic!!

Saw this in the IMax theater and it was amazing! 3D has come a long long way since House of Wax. Thought it was going to be a bit "hoaky" with animated characters but, the story line quickly draws you in and they take on a humanlike quality that is effective. Some of the language didn't need to be in there, and there is a lot of violence so heed the rating and leave the young ones at home.

You've seen this story a hundred times, but never like this. You cannot help but enjoy the IMAX-3D visual experience. Wonderful pacing - never a slow or boring moment - and the performances are all effective. However, as much as I enjoyed myself, some of the "inspirations" for the storyline are very obvious. If you're an experienced movie watcher, leave your skepticism at the door, bring lots of popcorn and enjoy the "action-flick-with-moral-and-loads-of-clichés".

Whoa! What an experience. I had seen Avatar in 3D only, however seeing in IMAX really changes the intensity and viewing experience. Avatar has a great story to tell in a believable fantasy atmosphere. I fell into Avatar's trance and had a hard time coming back to reality.
From now on I plan on seeing as many movies I can through the IMAX experience.

I'd heard the story line was kind of shallow, but I honestly liked it all: movie, storyline, beauty of it (we saw it 3D IMAX). This is the first 3D movie I've seen since the old cardboard glasses and because this experience was so good I'll not hesitate to go to more 3D movies in the future. ARRIVE EARLY!! We were there 1/2 hour ahead of the show and there were already a lot of people in the theater.

Great movie, super effects including the trailer frm NASA I felt like I could reach out and touch the objects. I would see it again and as the others said the screen was not as big and it it was out of focus near the edges. Still would go again to see this with my family and granchildren.

We’ve been trying to see this moving for quite some, always sold out and couldn’t get a baby sitter. We finally decided to go individually, I went first.
Got to the theater, waited on line to get in and 15 minutes before show time a manager came over and said they were having technical difficulties with the IMAX and could not show the movie. Then, had to wait on another line to get my ticket refunded.
So far this movie’s been a lot of hype and inconvenience.

My family and I really enjoyed the movie. The plants, birds and animals were amazing. The colors were beautiful. We loved the 3D effect and the sound system--felt ourselves shaking/vibrating several times. It would have been neat if some type of smoke came out when they shot the gas bombs if or we felt heat during the fires! The story was pretty good too!

It took me about 10-15 min to figure out how to watch in 3D without focusing on the actual 3d images and to start following the story. The movie was great. Highly entertaining and worth the little extra to watch in IMAX 3D. I loved this movie and would recommend it to anyone.

Great special effects and the vivid color range coupled with dramatic action and landscape pans emersed you in the movie; the story line was all right. The 3D format was amazing and added extra to the overall experience. However, I was disappointed (as were others) that the image was not as large as other IMAX films I had seen (could have been the theaters seating arrangement). The extra expense was probably still worth it. While this movie was just as good as a number of other fantasy/action films the format made it better; will this be the standard some day? I sure hope so!

Great movie, awesome 3D FX, but it is not a true IMAX movie and not worth the extra cost. It was a movie shown on a big IMAX screen so it did not fill the screen. I felt a little ripped off for the extra bucks I paid for IMAX. I recomend the movie to everyone but no need to see it on IMAX.

Simply the most unbelieveable movie I have ever seen. Plus the IMAX was AWESOME. One scene where the general was talking to the marines before attacking, the camera was panning behind the soldiers' heads. I was thinking "Hey sit down in front" until I realized that it was the heads of the soldiers in the movie & not the folks in front of me.

I was immediately won over by the "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" bug eyed styled 3D IMAX glasses immediately handed out by the ticket entrance door of the AMC Sunset Place movie theatre entrance way and admittingly I was pleased to see that they had abandoned the old style accompanied by its limited view.
The movie presented spectacularly in IMAX 3D and, to be quite honest, the only blur to be found in the visuals occurred when an object presented itself close to you but the camera was focused on an object deeper within the shot. This seems like a natural "side effect" but I see how it could be remedied.
My only complaint is the screen size. It was suitable but should be bigger and panoramic to get the full effect of 3D.

We senior citizens (my husband and I) really weren't sure we'd like this movie, but we went because we heard the special effects were worth the price of admission. We went to the Imax 3-D version, and we were really blown away by the beauty of this film. On a philosophical level it brought to mind the massacre of the Native Americans when the conquistadors came to the Americas and wanted to claim the land as their own. Although the premise of this story was science-fiction, the magnificent special effects and the beautiful colors were a delight to the senses. I didn't even mind that it was too loud! I would definitely recommend this film to my friends.

This is seriously one of the best films I have EVER seen... The storyline is AMAZING... the philosophy is AMAZING... the parallels to our own society and contemporary political issues is spectacularly done... It paints utopia in such an incredibly beautiful way... It includes a love story... and it sums all of this up into a beautiful world that has me wondering "can we somehow bring some of that world into our real one... please?". Absolutely beautiful effects... completely stunning 3-d experience - so well integrated into the story that I forgot it was 3-d and just lost myself in the beautiful world of Pandora. SEE THIS FILM!!! If you don't, you are seriously missing out... one of the greatest films of all time without a doubt!. A++++

The imagination, creativity, animation along with reality was so believable. The story line should make corporate bigwigs stop and think about what they are doing.
