We senior citizens (my husband and I) really weren't sure we'd like this movie, but we went because we heard the special effects were worth the price of admission. We went to the Imax 3-D version, and we were really blown away by the beauty of this film. On a philosophical level it brought to mind the massacre of the Native Americans when the conquistadors came to the Americas and wanted to claim the land as their own. Although the premise of this story was science-fiction, the magnificent special effects and the beautiful colors were a delight to the senses. I didn't even mind that it was too loud! I would definitely recommend this film to my friends.
