A Christmas Carol was wonderful! The 3D experience was outstanding!! This was a great re-telling of the Christmas classic. Definitely would not take kids under age 9 or so...some of the ghost scenes would be too scary for younger kids.

My husband and I took our 8 year old to see this the Friday that it came out. We are all very surprised at how real it seemed. Definitely a must see by all ages. It put our son in the Christmas spirit so much that the day after he wanted to know if we could start getting the Christmas decorations down! Look forward to more movies of this quaility.

One of the best animated Disney movies to date. I-Max 3-D version is the only way this movie should be seen. You felt like you were in the movie all the way through. I've seen several 3D movies in the past but this one blows them all away! ... Would caution against bringing kids under 10 years old because some of the ghost scenes could scare them ... especially in lifelike 3D. Thoroughly worth the money to just sit back and become absorbed in these images. Forget the storyline and just feel yourself in Victorian London with the snow at Christmastime and in breathtaking flying scenes over the chimneytops. Only watch this movie in 3D.

Loved it! There were a couple of flying scenes in which I actually felt like I was in motion. I am so glad that I saw it in IMAX 3D. All 3 of my girls enjoyed it (ages 6, 9, 11).

Amazing effects. We saw the movie in IMAX 3-D. Just amazing. The PG rating was the right rating. A little dark in areas and I was a little concerned for the young kids in the audience but you did not hear any one of them cry. LOL. The movie follows the classic story all the way through. This movie pulls you right in and never lets go. It is more like a ride, so much fun! I saw it in IMAX 3D on opening nite. The story is true to it's original Dickens' version, the effects are incredible, many funny scenes, some scary moments but everyone knows that it is a ghost story. I would not worry about bringing children, it is a childen's story! They will love it. I want to see it a few more times before it leaves IMAX. Can't wait to go again! Enjoy!!!

Excellent movie. 3D graphics were superb; made me feel as if I was an invisible character in the movie, similar to the ghosts. Certain scenes may be unsuitable to kids four and under, that are easily frightened. My five year-old daughter and I had a wonderful time, and I thank Disney for making such a high quality version of this timeless classic. I highly recommend this movie!

An excellent remake of the original and besides UP is the top animated film I've seen this year. Loved how some of the scenes made me jump out of my seat. Jim Carrey does an excellent Scrooge. Definately see it in IMAX 3D if you can to get the full experience of this wonderful movie.

This is one of the best depictions of A Christmas Carol I've seen. There is a great deal of creativity and fantasy, while still holding true to the story and using the famous key lines of the story. Really NOT recommended for young kids - some very scary parts. That being said, breathtaking animation, excellent 3D special effects, excellent soundtrack during movie, great classic story and Disney stayed true to the original story as written for the most part, with a few interesting twists. Jim Carrey's voice as Scrooge was perfect. Overall it gets a "very good" with an underlying "slightly creepy" factor we could not quite shake. Not your average Disney family flick.

I took 5 9 yr old girls and a 5 yr old girl. I had read that parts were a little scary so we were prepared for that, but......I (25) even jumped during some parts. The ghost of Christmas Future was ridiculously freaky especially the little children in it....reminded me of horror movies. From the start it was very dark and dismal, not like the Disney versions from my childhood. There were at least 2 "bad" words that I would not want my child saying or hearing them. And I am no saint, but...I was not prepared to hear them in a PG movie. There was a little bit of humor, but it was slight or on an adult level that children would never understand.
Okay, but not rated right in my opinion.

Took our 2 year old despite warnings in reviews about the scare factor. She was GLUED to the screen and wore the glasses the whole time! My husband tried covering her eyes for some parts, and she pushed him away. We talked her through it but she wasn't that scared, I think we were more worried that she would be. This movie was so well done! If you want an experience of a lifetime, and you like Christmas, I recommend this. My 10 and 14 year old really enjoyed the movie. We watched it in Imax 3d. 10 year old commented that some parts of the movie was intense.

This is the first time I have been to an IMAX movie. Awesome! The three-D effects were so cool! I would definitley recommend this movie.

This movie was good. I was hoping for a little more Christmas feeling. Must be seen in IMAX 3D I would not have enjoyed it if I did not see it in 3D. My younger children (2 and 7) was slightly frightened by some of the ghosts. Which the ghosts were more intense because it was 3D.

Excellent movie and great portrayal of the Dicken's classic story. Robert Zemeckis uses the 3D effects excellently to convey the story. There were some children that were scared at the theater, caution should be used when decideing to bring little ones. This will be considered the classic version for quite some time!
