If you are looking for an action movie with incredible special effects this is a movie you should see on the big screen. The main writers, Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman who are at the head of the list for sci-fi action movies today did a stellar job with the writing. there is almost as much humor to bring you back down from the frenetic action sequences.As with the Spiderman series, these guys had all the elements that make a great move. The acting of Shia Lebuf, who is as frenetic as the action itself, rises to the occasion and takes command performance. An end scene that any screenwriter will recognize right out of The Matrix almost again took me out of the moment . Why did the writers/directors create two Jar Jar Binks-type characters who sound like ghetto Blacks, it wasn't funny. Maybe I'm just sensitive, but....

Especially if you watch it with the IMAX experience. All the sounds and pictures were crystal clear and made me feel like I was in the fights. Transformers wasn't really great for me as a cartoon, but as soon as I saw the first movie, I changed sides and it immediately became my favorite movie. This sequel is even better with the scenes, and I also love Linkin Park's "New Divide" song. Can't wait to buy this on DVD. I also can't wait for Transformers 3!

I loved the Transformers cartoon as a kid. I enjoyed the first movie a lot. Really enjoyed Revenge of the Fallen last night. I could have used way less focus on the relationship between Megan & Shaia's characters, way less "humanization" of a few of the Autobots, and WAY more Josh Duhamel. It's visually stunning and the sound editing is fantastic. Completely over the top. The fight in the forest was SWEEEEEEET and worth the price of admission alone! Suspend all disbelief and enjoy the ride!

Michael Bay was sucked into a vortex of techno nonsense and absolute overkill which, but for the climactic last scene, was mercifully missing from the original movie. The males in my family are big fans of the original and even some of the ladies, but I would not recommend any of them see this latest installment. The jokes too, fell flat on several occasions and the whole movie reeked from excess. The IMAX screen in White Plains either needed the lens cleaned or the screen needs repair as there were unsightly black lines across the top left and bottom left of the screen which was a distraction whenever white dominated scenes appeared.

I"m a huge Transformer fan so I was not surprised to find that the sequel to the first Transformers movie was nothing short of being awesome. Lots of action, lots of emotion and lots of transforming! This is only the second I-Max movie I have seen and it was the first full length movie in I-Max. It was well worth it! The action was definitely in your face and the sound was totally compelling. I actually looked off-screen at one time because the machine guns to my left side startled me and a dog barking did the same thing for my wife.. The rockets exploding actually vibrated the floor and seats. It was a totally immersive both visually and auditory. The movie itself was excellent. Plenty of action and plenty of tension reliefing humor. OH! Megan .... she is HOT!

That's really about it.
Even on an IMAX screen giant battling robots gets rather dull after it goes on long enough. Maybe this isn't true if you're 17, but I'm not 17 so there you have it.
A silly, stupid, pointless plot full of holes is to be expected in a movie like this, and can be overlooked to a point. We crossed the point here.
In a few years this film will fall into the same bucket as Jurassic Park: everyone will talk about how amazing looking it was for its time, but few will actually go back and sit through 150 minutes of it again.

I hope every Michael Bay blockbuster is not now followed by one of similar formula, but with a rushed script. The producers locked in the same actors, same CGI effects (note: awesome!!) and a good "save the world" plot. Then, they lit a fire under the cheapest writers they could find and put out some of the weakest dialogue and character development I've ever seen. The only apparent relationship between hero and heroine was that neither of them wanted to say "I love you" until it could be done with dramatic effect in the last 10 minutes of the movie. Upon delivery of these words, I actually heard giggling throughout the theater.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

This was a good movie. A good not great storyline but i didn't expect a great storyline i got exactly what i expected lots of action and and fun.

This movie was action packed. Great movie and better than the first and I believed the first was excellent and the second would not be near as good, but I was totally wrong. A must see movie and one to have in your dvd collection when available. Must see and awesome at the Imax!!
