The main writers, Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman who are at the head of the list for sci-fi action movies today did a stellar job with the writing. there is almost as much humor to bring you back down from the frenetic action sequences.As with the Spiderman series, these guys had all the elements that make a great move. The acting of Shia Lebuf, who is as frenetic as the action itself, rises to the occasion and takes command performance. An end scene that any screenwriter will recognize right out of The Matrix almost again took me out of the moment . Why did the writers/directors create two Jar Jar Binks-type characters who sound like ghetto Blacks, it wasn't funny. Maybe I'm just sensitive, but....
Yes, I recommend this movie.
