Michael Bay was sucked into a vortex of techno nonsense and absolute overkill which, but for the climactic last scene, was mercifully missing from the original movie. The males in my family are big fans of the original and even some of the ladies, but I would not recommend any of them see this latest installment.
The jokes too, fell flat on several occasions and the whole movie reeked from excess. The IMAX screen in White Plains either needed the lens cleaned or the screen needs repair as there were unsightly black lines across the top left and bottom left of the screen which was a distraction whenever white dominated scenes appeared.

No, I do not recommend this movie.
