Chris Weitz did an amazing job!! The movie was incredible!! I thought the script was very well written and did the book justice. I liked Twilight a lot, but thought this movie was a little better portraying the relationship between Edward & Bella. I will definitely see it a few more times in the theater. Kristen, Rob, & Taylor gave great performances... there was humor, suspense, heartache, and romance... and I cannot wait for Eclipse! With it bringing in high numbers opening weekend, all I can say is that I really hope they finish it up with Breaking Dawn.

If you read the books and thought the first one was ok, then i think you would definitely think this one was much better. it felt more like a major motion picture this time and like they were able to afford better graphics and put more into it. the first felt so low budget, the graphics were so cheesy. and i felt like their acting got better too. the few action scenes they did have i thought were really cool, and those that haven't read the book need to know there wasn't much action in the book. I really liked this one and can't wait for eclipse!

Chris Weitz improved on the action scenes and yet kept much of the corny/awkward feel from the first film. Also, while I had imagined Aro and Sam as being much older than the actors chosen, they did a superb job.
Lastly, while I am faithful to Edward as a character, I have to say that Taylor Lautner was HOT in this film. There were lots of times that I felt Edward's lips were a little too red and his makeup was too pasty. Taylor, on the other hand, should never put another shirt on ever again! All that work really paid off. He looks fantastic. The scenes between Jacob and Bella sizzled and I cannot wait to see more of that tension in Eclipse.

The actors portrayed their screen characters much better than the first installment; especially Kristen Stewart, who put more depth in her role as Bella (except the motorcycle ride with the stranger scene - too over the top). I enjoyed the entire screenplay as I did the book except the ending - quick & flat. I still recommend it to all Twilight fans.

I'll be honest, I didn't become a 'Twlight' fan until I saw the first movie & then started reading the books, which I'm almost done w/ the last one. And I'm addicted! I greatly anticipated this movie & I walked away very very happy, minus the screaming teenage girls, that is!! I thought it kept to the book, as much as it could & it matched what my mind see's when I read the novel to what I see on screen, very satisfied! Definiltey recommend it!!

Having said I loved the book...let me preface by saying I had NO expectations...just like the first. Having said that, it was fine. Same as the first with special effects, etc. I was happy with editing on making Jacob taller and buff. Loved Volturi casting. LOVED we didn't have to see Jasper and Rosalie much - their hairstyles and acting are distracting and awful. LOVED Victoria - she rocks - great casting, great acting. Liked chemistry of love/friendship between Bella and Jacob and felt it was real. Edward was the same except I kept on thinking of his quote about his hair - had major build up on his scalp from hair product because he only washed his hair every 4 days or so - NASTY - couldn't get over his nasty hair.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

All of what you expect out of a wolf vs blood scucker love story! I hope people will watch the movie for its own value and not get too hungup on the book. It was very entertaining I can't wait for the next one!!! Lots of love, lust, muscle and heartache!

This movie far exceeded my expectations after being a little disappointed in the first movie! The directors did an excellent job with bringing in the small details from the book and excellent flow from one scene to the next. I absolutely loved it! I'd see it over and over! The special effects with the werewolves were fantastic as well.

I think New Moon made an even more impressive showing than Twilight. Lots of romance and chemistry; the same from the books and great action; wonderful scenery and costumes. They captured the book well and brought it to life.

Storyline is very true to the book. Special effects are better than the first movie. Actors/Actresses did an excellent job representing the characters. It is going to be hard waiting til June to see part 3. SEE the movie. You won't be disappointed!!!

I am such a huge fan of the books that the movies could be made with sock puppets and I would still pay to watch them. BUT, I thought NM felt very disjointed-like chapters in the book were filmed to satisfy a check list. Appreciate the effort to stay true to the book, but the movie didn’t flow well. The Cullen's eye color was off and Alice's vision of Edward and 'changed' Bella, was a bit cheesy. I LOVED the look of NM, Volturi were PERFECT, wolves were great, acting was much better than Twilight. I just didn’t leave the theater planning a return trip the next day (like with Twilight). But, the positives of NM outweigh the negatives. The movie is very good-just didn’t leave me dying and counting down every day until next year’s Eclipse.

I went to see this movie with high expectations and was very disappointed. I was sick to death of Bella and was hoping she would get killed by the vampire in the woods. The action scenes were good but not enough of them. I will say that my daughters (12 and 13) enjoyed the film very much, which seems to be the intended target age group.

This is one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. At the end of the movie I had this adrenaline rush, I felt pumped up. I would have sat there for 2 more hours if it went that long.
the graphics, the actors, the settings, the feel of the movie was just exhilarating. i would recommend everyone see this movie it was AWESOME!!

I thought that it should have had more of Bella falling for Jacob...(and should have shown Edward's body first..lol it was an eye-sore to see his after Jacobs..(wink, wink) lol
The movie was a good foundation for the next one..but i thought it would have been more "arm grabbing" or exciting..it seems as if the "mojo" did not even get activated..but like i said..it was a good foundation for the next movie..btw..Dakota Fanning did an awesome job in her role too!

I always hate when movies don't turn out how I want them to. I won't spoil it for anyone, but my whole reason for the high score is the ending. I had heard a rumor it was going to be done differently and was pleasantly surprised. Other than that, I probably would've given it a three because I expected more action.

I read all the books, so you always hope for more. Overall, the movie was pretty good. I'd say it was put together better than the first one. I wish they had done more to incorporate the Vulturi. Also, there was a lot of the Wolves left out and it could have been more in depth, as the book was. It followed the general story line pretty well. I went with my husband and he wants to see it again. We loved the wolves. And Jacob was great. Taylor Lautner outdid all expectations.

This is a great movie to watch with you girlfriends or, like me, your teenage daughter. Action with the werewolf fight was outstanding. I most enjoyed how the movie captured the anticipation each time the Bella got close to Jacob.

To all those people saying it was great and perfect and EXACTLY like the book - READ THE BOOK!
Was i the only one that realized the whole scene with Alice and her vision of Bells as a vampire was just wrong!? Plus- How off was the music!!?? Did any single song in those two miserable hours EVER go with a scene? Personally, i would not have minded if this movie took 10 or 20 years to film to get it right...but seeing as how the studio was in such a rush to get EVERYTHING through in time before the Twilight phase goes out, it doesn't surprise me that it would suck so much.
Any REAL fan would realize how pathetic this attempt to make such a good book into a movie was.

Loved It !
I took my 13 year old sister to see Twilight last year and since then I've been hooked. New Moon was just as good as Twilight but in this one Bellas friendship with Jacob gets stronger because Edward feels forced to leave her in order to protect her from any more physical harm. At the end Bellas love for Edward causes her to choose between Edward and Jacob and although she loves Jacob she was unable to live without Edward. FANS won't be disappointed! Go see the movie. I can't wait to see Eclipse June 2010!!!!!

Having got into the Twilight craze last year, was very much looking forward to the second installment in the series. Movie stayed generally true to the book which was nice, though have to admit the pace was a slow one. Very much enjoyed Taylor and Rob's performances although Kristen left me a bit flat. Her expressions in most scenes appeared the same and thought she could have done better. Nonetheless, as a healthy woman am a sucker for die-hard romances which explains the crowd of 80% women in the theatre. We all want that impossible love, that guy who treats you well and loves you just the way you are - pity fiction does not imitate life.

I thought it was very good. Did a good job of covering more of the book. Changed a few things around, but not enough to make me upset. Loved the Bella and Jacob friendship portrayal. Very accurate. I will even give Kristen Stewart props. She did a much better job in this movie than she did the first one. Still not who I would have picked for Bella though.
