I do not usually go to movies - it's been 5 years, actually. But, I've read all the books (yes, I'm 35 and I've read them!!!) and I was excited about seeing this movie. It was worth the wait! My husband (who is 53) also enjoyed it! He liked it even better than Twilight. Great effects! I also appreciated the fact that there wasn't any bad language (who needs it!) and no explicit content, and yet, folks, it was a great movie! It goes to show that movies are great without it!

Ok, I first want to say I do not have a problem with any of the actors in this movie but the director sucked!" First hour of the movies was way to long and drawn out. There was little action and when it really starting getting intresting it was at the end of the movie. This could have been soooo much better and I hope the next one like the first movie.

Way better then the first movie! Thank you to Melissa Rosenberg and Chris Weitz for making this movie the right way and staying true to the book. This movie gave the fans everything they were looking for and more. I can't wait till June 30, 2010 I will be there at midnight for Eclipse!!! I've read all of the Twilight books and liked New Moon the least. The movie was way more entertaining because they covered Bella's depression in 2 minutes instead of 200 pages. The special effects were amazing. You know the sinking feeling in your chest when you read the sad parts of the book? Somehow they replicated it in the movie and it was just as touching. I saw it with the girls at the midnight showing on 11/20, and then dragged the husband back with me to see it again a day later. He was entertained by the action scenes. Overall more romance in this one than in Twilight, but the intensity can't touch the kissing scene in Twilight. Oh well, no one's perfect. Can't wait for Eclipse!!

this was, by far, much much better than the first. the actors did a much better job, the story tied together much better, effects improved greatly. i'm a huge fan of the books, but i don't like bad movies- and the first one killed me- i was laughing through most of it. so just take this post with a grain of salt. it's not a movie masterpiece, but was a fun ride through the new moon story. thanks for the improvement summit!

Let me start off by saying I am a fan of the books. And I enjoyed the first movie. This movie had the potential to be fantastic, but it actually fell short of that in many ways. There were alot of spots in the movie that really needed more explanation. Also, the first scene with the wolves (showing Sam as the big dark wolf), looked way too CGI. Later scenes with the wolves were much better. The relationships were very underdeveloped in the movie compared to the books. Overall, I enjoyed the movie but I would not recommend paying full price to see it. I would only recommend this movie to a friend who had read the books so they do not come away confused.

Unless I knew people that enjoy the twilight saga I wouldn't recommend seeing this movie. Sadly, I prefer twilight over new moon as far as the movies go. I was expecting much more from new moon with all the hype about having more of a film budget this time around, more action, etc. etc., but I left the theater dissapointed to say the least. I hope that eclipse will surpass new moon in the theaters as far as the impact that it has on the viewers.

Over all, this film was much better than the first of the Twilight instalments. Taylor was amazing as Jacob and captured the emotion very well. Kristen, however, was lacking. Again.
I really wish they had replaced her. I don't feel she portrays Bella well at all. She got the nightmere/screaming scenes down, but lacked on everything else.
Luckily, all the scenes of Taylor and Rob with their shirts off overshadowed her poor acting.

I left wanting more. This was so much better than the first movie and I love that one too. The actors have really out done them selves. Kristen's preformance was so believably and you felt as if you could feel what she was feeling. Taylor has shown the most transformation and how much he has grown. He made you feel something as well. Robert has so many skins and he truly drawns you in. What can I say. I love it!, I love it!!, I love it!!!!

It stayed as true to the book as it could. LOVED the movie theatre scene with Bella, Jacob and Mike. . The Volturri(Michael Sheen is perfect for Aro) were great though I half expected more screen time from them.The makeup and effects were clearly a hundred times better than the first film.
Definitely going to see it again very soon!

i feel new moon was a compleat lt down!
i wathed twilight many times..and love it every detail* i read all the books..and was so excited about new moon.. we pre ordered ticketts and went on opening night
i feel they made this movie perhaps on a tight budget and to fast..maybe i should not have read the books in the book it did not say that the volturi slammed edward nor that he cracked..i just wish it would have been more like the book! i am scared to think what eclipse will be like..sorry this is just my opinion.

I was a little cautious at first due to the way that "Twilight" was directed. Now I have to say, I was beyond impressed. When I watched "New Moon" I felt like I was reading the book again because there were little to no differences. I will defintely buy the movie when it is available.

This movie was great! I dont even mind that I spent about $80 to bring all the kids and my sister. I will see this movie again. We will also buy it when it comes out on DVD. Love Edward but Jacob was glorious in this one! I found myself holding my breath and tensing up during a few scenes and yelling "run faster, run, run!!" a couple of times HAHA!
A real MUST SEE!!!!
