totally tortured love,lots of swooning and pining,

I thought it was great. Sure there are things that seemed a little corny - but it was never going to be as good as the book. The only thing that I didn't think they conveyed was the relationship between Jacob and Bella during the time Edward was away. Now I am all about "Team Edward", but it didn't empasize how close she actually got with Jacob. But love it, will see it again, and it will be added to my movie collection asap!!!

Having read all four books, I feel like this producer stayed true to the book. Some parts were missing that I would have liked to have seen but overall, it was a great movie. I'm Team Edward all the way, but the wolf pack was excellent...they did such a great job with the characters and the animation was so good. I would recommend this movie for any Twilight fan!!! Can't wait to see the next two!

This will appeal to fans of the series, not so much to those just catching the film without having seen the first. The dialogue left a lot to be desired and most of the characters that I was most looking forward to seeing had one or two lines. It was a big buildup to something that just... never really happened.
There were a lot of good things. Billy Burke and Ashley Greene both really shine in this one.

As a reader, I become wrapped up in the books; however, this movie is different. Kristin portrays Bella's heartbreak and rehabilitation breathtakingly. Kristin does great keeping the emotions & actions of the character alive. Rob's character is difficult to play on screen because he suffers from such an emotional & internal conflict. Plus Edward is a vampire & he can't cry...therefore when you can see the unshed tears, you have a great actor. One last verbal applaud Taylor. The intensity of anger, the eruption of alteration, and the variety of different emotions his character is faced with are all very well played on screen. Overall the movie was great!

I found the movie to be enthralling, emotionally intising, and all around amazing! The effects were great and kept me wanting more! I did not want the movie to end! The cast is great and evokes so much emotion and strength into the parts! Incredible film and left me excited for the next films in the Saga!!!!

This movie was great! If your read the books then you will like this movie. This is my favorite book in the saga and movie followed the book better than Twilight did. Before I saw it I was worried how they werewolves would look but they are great, just like i pictured them to be. After seeing this movie I can't wait for the next, I hope it is just as good.

After reading New Moon before seeing the movie, the movie did not even compare to the book. There is so much in the book that is left out of the movie. My sister had a hard time catching on to certain parts of the movie because they were not set up, and only book readers would be able to fully understand. I was a little disappointed in the movie because I was looking for so much more. However, I did enjoy the movie and the acting was 100 times better than in Twilight. I feel that the movie fell short of the book.

This movie was better than I had expected but I truly do not understand the hysteria and the hype. The acting is great, the characters are well defined and believable for a fantasy. Some of my problems with this film are that it seems you have to have read the books to fully understand this sequel. I found my wife explaining a lot of things to me. Also, this is definitely written, campaigned, and targeted towards women. There are only a handful of action sequences and the rest is a pretentious, teenage, emotional, love triangle story unfolding slowly. I've been reassured by my wife that the action will be in the next film.

"New Moon" was exactly what I expected it to be, dark with a little bit more action than "Twilight." Sure there were some small points missing from the movie that were in the book, but I didn't think it made a difference to the overall tale. Go see the move and decide for yourself whether or not you like it, don't take mine or anyone else's word for it. If you are still undecided wait until it goes to the dollar theater's and that way if you don't lose out one way or the other. For me I will be seeing it again and again!

This movie followed the book perfectly. Great screenplay and the special effects were much better than Twilight.
One complaint--Bella looked as if she were suffering throughout the film. She mumbled many of her lines. I know her character was supposed to be depressed and sad but even in the happy moments with Jacob she didn't change her mood.

I went to see this movie with my son(12 yo). It was a really awesome movie for a family to see... I almost did not get to see it bc it was sold out everywhere.. Thank god for online ticket buying.... I feel that the action and plot line was way better than the first... Cannot wait until Eclipse hits the thaeatres on June 30th..

I was very pleased with New Moon, the movie. This production is a little more polished than Twilight, both in the development of the characters and in the special effects. Bella is a little less clumsy at speaking, which was a little irritating in Twilight. I was really glad that her pining for Edward wasn't dragged out too long - it was handled very well. The first appearance of the werewolf was a little hokey looking, but the rest was wonderful. The way the movie ended was quite a cliffhanger, generating lots of excitement to see Eclipse when it comes out. Even though I've read all of the books and know what happens, it doesn't diminish my excitement to see the movies. I can't wait!

I LOVED the chemistry between Jacob & Bella. The only creepy thing about the Volturi is Jane. I don't think they did a very good job with Aro. He just comes off like a touchy-feely pervo. Overall I loved it. I am seriously contemplating defecting to Team Jacob after Taylor Lautner's performance (maybe just for the movie versions though!). Since we don't really see Robert in many scenes, I will only say that the beginning of the movie when they are in class was just about my fav scene of maybe all time with Edward (or a very close second to the kiss on the bed scene from Twilight!). Nothing is sexier I think than getting Shakespeare quotes from a 106 year old vampire! Nuff said!!

I read all of the Twilight saga books, twice. I admit that I thought the first movie "Twilight" could have been made better. BUT "NEW MOON" was excellent! The movie followed the book's story very closely and the acting (in my opinion) was better. I can not wait for the next movie to come out "Eclipse"!!
