I thought it was great. Sure there are things that seemed a little corny - but it was never going to be as good as the book. The only thing that I didn't think they conveyed was the relationship between Jacob and Bella during the time Edward was away. Now I am all about "Team Edward", but it didn't empasize how close she actually got with Jacob. But love it, will see it again, and it will be added to my movie collection asap!!!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
