WOW! What an amazing job. I love this series. I seen the movie 2 days in a row and want to see it again. I was disappointed that the movie didn't have some of same parts as the book, and that it changed some things from the book in the movie. But all in all, I LOVE IT! Ican't wait for next year when Eclipse comes out! I'll be there! GO TEAM EDWARD!

I had lots of issues with the first movie but this one great, lots of action and excitement not to mention all the "money" shots like Jacob taking his shirt off. The acting is marginally better (Kristen really needs to stop the tortured blinking thing, ugghh) in this one but the makeup still leaves a lot to be desired. All in all I thoroughly enjoyed this movie and will probably see it again.

I think they should definitely use Chris for Breaking Dawn. The action scenes were wonderful. I was glad to see how well the movie moved along. If you read the book, which I liked, seems to move along somewhat slowly. I'm team Edward, however, the love tension that was present between Bella and Jacob was subtle and perfect. Team Jacob seems promising. I thought this was good and better than the first one. You won't waste your money.

This movie is a wonderful continuation of the story. Loved how Jacob's CGI werewolf had his personality and movements. Bella should have been more clumsy.
Michael Sheen's Aro is positively creepy (I actually expected his tongue to come out and taste the air *shiver*) and Dakota's Jane was perfection.
All in all a wonderful movie - and enjoyable for all the ages in my family; from my 11 year old grandson to myself at 58. :)

The movie was great the acting was pretty good too but through out the movie i kept asking myself and then what, but in any case it looked like it almost lived up to every ones expectation because this movie was highly anticipated and i guess that the director and actors were under a lot of pressure to do a great job and they did.

I liked Twilight, but I loved New Moon. I'm a big fan of the books. I'm usually disappointed with book adaptations because they leave out so many details and plot points. I think this was the best book-to-screenplay I have ever seen!
The wolves were wonderful. Taylor Lautner is a perfect Jacob. Fans who have never read thebook will be surprised at the lack of Edward, but I don't believe it takes away from the film. Kristen Stewart looks better in this film, but her acting skills have not improved much. That is the only negative aspect of the film in my opinion. I would defintely see it again.

A friend of mine kept telling me about the movie "Twilight" and that I sld watch it. I saw part of it in the local nail salon one day. I had to buy it and watch it, and now I am a junkie! It is no wonder Bella picked Edward. I thought Bella had changed her mind and was going to pick Jacob, This movie made me laugh and cry. In all I am glad to see she is stating with Edward, my greatest fear now is that Bella will never get to be like Edward b/c Jacob said that they can not bite a human or it breaks the treaty. My husband is not a romantic buff but he even liked this movie!

For the most part I really enjoyed New Moon"! The main actors have matured, and the direction was better.
The only downside were some of the special FX:
I thought the wolves were "on again/off again" as to their realistic movements and structure. Their transformation from human to wolf was very well done though.
But the cheesiest FX of the movie had to be when Edward's spirit would show up next to Bella whenever she was heading toward danger. In the book it was just his voice in her head. I guess they wanted his countenance on screen even when he was far away from her. He kept materializing advising Bella to be careful - It was cheesy and contrived. I hope David Slade doesn't pull that kind of nonsense when he directs "Eclipse".

I was surprised on how the book was put into a movie! New Moon was the most depressing and the least I liked amongst the four books (necessary "bridge" to the rest of the saga nevertheless) but I was pleasantly surprised!!! Can't wait for the next one!!!

My wife and I went to New Moon the night it opened. We had the opportunity to see the first movie and saw both back to back. It made for a longer evening, but very enjoyable. The second picked up nicely where the first left off. We can hardly wait for the next!

Im a fan of Twilight saga and read the books at least 5 times, so I was really excited to see this movie. Movie was very choppy with the scenes, it didn't flow smoothly at all. Some scenes deserved to be extended. Camera angle in one scene made me dizzy. Too many close up shots, made it hard to concentrate on the movie w/o looking at black spot in Bella's nose. Also poor CGI in meadow scene, where did Bella's foot go? Expected better directing. Acting was good, wolf CGI awesome, best part of whole movie. Bella jumping on the back of a strangers motorcycle is not in book, director could have kept more in line with the book and still make it interesting instead of unbelievable. This movie had so much potential, but fell short in my eyes.

New Moon was the first movie in a long time that made me want to go see it again and again.
The story doesn't dissapoint and the characters get to have more screen time to develop their stories....and if you haven't read the books, then this movie leaves you with a cliff hanger wanting more.
Guess we'll have to wait and see if June 2010 brings it with Eclipse too.

I am definitely a fan of the books, but both Twilight and New Moon were pretty bad. Jacob, Edward and Bella are just not seasoned actors at this point in their careers and their characters are too complex for them. Overall, their lines sounded rehearsed and the sentimental moments were cheesy. I dislike Kristen Stewarts acting - she has three staple expressions that she does over and over again whether she is happy, sad, or anything in between. One positive thing is that the special effects were way better than Twilight's. Still, I am mad that I wasted money seeing this movie.

If you haven't read the New Moon book, then this is a great alternative. The portrayal of Jacob Black,played by Taylor Lautner was AMAZING! Very believiable. If you are Team Edward then you will love this movie, because there is a lot more of him then in the book. It was sensational!
