I will agree that the music seemed off and did take away from the movie some, but as a whole it did not make it a bad movie. This one is much better than the one that came before it. It is very worth the time and movie to go and see it, even if you aren't a Twilight fan. I would give it really a 4.5/5

This movie is very action-packed, and i love all the effects of the fights and werewolves. I think it was very intresting, and over-all corresponded with the book. I recommend this movie to anyone who loved the book, and loves action, vampires, and werewolves.

Terrible, unless you're an adolescent virgin there is little to nothing to relate to in this film. Ebert is right: These films are a prolonged metaphor for teenage abstinence - little more.

I thought it was great. It followed the book a lot bette than the first one did. I can't wait for the next one, but I think the last one will be the best...if they do it really close to the book.

I was a skeptic at the initial buzz of these movies, but I'm SO hooked now! I thoroughly enjoyed the film very much, and can't wait for Eclipse on 6-30-2010. The story has so much substance. If I had any complaint it would be there's no blood and gore which leaves you wanting that from a vampire movie, but I know this was geared towards a younger crowd from its inception. If it had a taste of gore this would be an absolute masterpiece, because the passion and intensity is definitely there. Hopefully there'll be a spin-off after these PG-13 series are done, and they can take it to that place of lust, darkness, and blood. Until then, this is still a must see!

The movie was so much like the book. It also had a little more Edward then i thought it would have which was great. The action was awesome the wolfs were awesome it was just great. It was also funny at times and also had really heartbreaking times. The movie was awesome it was every thing i wanted and more!!!!!!!!!

Movie was good - not the best I've ever seen, but good. The acting is definitely improving!!! Impressed at how well the movie followed the book. I missed the vampires, but glad I knew ahead of time they wouldn't be featured like in the first movie. I only looked at my watch once!

Definately better than the first. Movie stayed close to the book with only a few deviations. I thought seeing Taylor Lautner was worth the ticket price alone! I liked that there was more action and the actors seemed much more believable in this one vs the first one. Will go see it again before it's out of the theaters. And I'm very excited that Eclipse is due out so soon! Yeah for that, can't wait!

The best thing about this movie was Jacob. If I hadn't had him to look forward to, I would have walked out 30 minutes into the movie. The movie was long and slow. Thank goodness for the shirtless wolfpack - they almost made sitting through all of Bella's drivel and having to watch pasty Edward worth it.

I watch this movie with my daughter and my mom. I think I liked the first one (twilight) better. It was probably because I watched it in TJ. in a huge rounded screen and it was really wonderful all the scenes. My daughter's opinion about this movie is that it was the best movie ever. She liked this part much much better than twilight. She came back home really really happy and excited about it. She said the entire movie was incredible, the best!

I'd give it a 3.5 if I could. I am an avid Twilight fan but was disappointed.
As for the new looks, Bella looked way too good, how will they make her look like a vampire? By applying the sparkles and giving her contacts? Esme looked too mean. Alice's wardrobe, for someone who is supposed to be so fashionable I was scratching my head. I did like the new Rosalie. Wolves were good but the movie had a whole new feel which left me wanting.
The writer/director stayed pretty close to the story line.
I have to agree with others, the music was just not right, and where was Bella's lullaby?
Left disappointed and wishing for Catherine Hardwicke and her vision of the story.

I bought the tickets for my daughter and her friend. The weren't impressed. Both of them follow the books and both of them complained that the movie lacked action. They both said that this film was better than the first and they both liked the special effects (the werewolves), but overall they would not recommend it to their friends who follow the books.

This is a MUST SEE for all Twilight fans. If you are not familiar with Twilight or the books...read or see the original Twilight to understand the movie. The movie did well at bringing the book alive within a movies time constraints.
The special effects and make-up are a massive improvement from Twilight the movie. You can definitely see the difference in producing and direction from Twilight and the improvement to the special effects allowed due to a bigger budget are phenominal over Twilight the movie. I am not one to pay to see a movie more than once, but I already have plans for 2 more times. Can't wait to come to DVD to add to my Twilight DVD and my Twilight book series collection.

Bad acting + bad dialogue + weak plot from the book = disaster. Don't waste your money or two hours to see this movie. The only saving grace for this movie was the shirtless Jacob Black. Bella seems to have one facial expression no matter what line she is delivering, Take a look at the picture on this page and you see the one look. It never changes.

I am not a reader of the book series, so I cannot offer much insight as far as the movie following the book. However, as a watcher of the first (My wife and daughter made me), the second installment was tremendously better than the first. I know there are steps to a series, but this one starts to get into a love story torn with anguish, friendship, and mortality. Summit Entertainment definitely upped the budget with this one considering the financial success with "Twilight" sales in the theater and on DVD. Angles are much more crisp and digital effects are dramatically improved. The cast is just about right for a rite-of-passage tween/teen adventure.

I Though I am an avid Twilight fan, I was so disappointed in the music for this movie. The music did not fit the scenes. I couldnt wait for the release of this film and when I watched it for the first time last evening, I was thoroughly diappointed. I understand the authors love of certain music and I also understand the need to make it true to her. I do not understand however how she can actually think the type of music she chose would fit in with the type of scenes witnessed in this film. Boooo Hisssss... what a shame.

It did follow the story line of the book, however I felt it was very corney. I was expecting so much more. For those who aredie hard Twilight fans, maybe they will love it. I've read all of the books and saw Twilight with my granddaughter. We were both so excited when New Moon was released and have seen it twice already. I know it won't be our last time. The movie is very true to the books and the characterization of the wolf pack was so believable. I loved the transformation scenes with the wolves. Perfect movie to see during the holidays.

New Moon was excellent. It stayed true to the book for the most part and when it deviated, it was an improvement on the book. Harry Clearwater's death, for instance, was so much better in the movie than the book. The final scene with Bella, Jacob and Edward was very well done. The door was left open for Eclipse. Can't wait to see it and Breaking Dawn come alive on the silver screen.

Who was the bear killing people was it Jacob's crew and why didn't Victoria come back? I guess our star actress has a thing for inhuman love. She goes from a Vampire to a Werewolf. Is she codependent and can't function in the real world. After movies like Interview With a Vampire this was rather weak. I expected the father who was once part of the Vampire rulers to challenge his old friends on the sheer principles of Vampire lifestyle choices because he had evolved into resisting human blood and taught his family likewise, but the leaders were still primate in their regard for human life. Of course my 17 yr old daughter loved this movie. I would recommend my friends see this on a rented DVD with microwave popcorn not at the movies.

My teenaged daughter and I devoured the Twilight Series before any of the movies came out. We just fell in love with the characters and the books.
Twighlight was a good adaptation of the book, but it seemed to be lacking in emotion as so much info had to be revealed in the first movie. New Moon was heartfelt and really did a great job of telling the story and making you feel what the characters were feeling. I went with my teen and tween daughters and my husband. 2 of us had read the books and 2 had not and we all thoght it was great!
Must see for Fantasy/ Romance fans!!

For the younger crowd with ranging hormones this was a sequel better than the original. For woman who loved Twilight series they were relatively equal in enjoyment. For my son, he did not care too much for it saying it was a movie about 'guys running around without their shirts off'. I went to see 2012 instead and thoroughly enjoyed myself very much.

A hit for Twihards! I loved New Moon because it was so true to the story. I read all of the books, like many fans. Although it wasn't long enough, they can only do so much. If you've read the books, the movies make more sense...the little things mean so much more. I got goose bumps a few times. I think the movies are like little glimpses into the books, but the movies will never be long enough to really grasp The Saga. Can't wait to see it again, and again....

My family and I enjoyed this film tremendously we will be purchasing it in the future to watch along with the rest of the films. We already have Twilight have already watched it twice .
