Watching the previews for New Moon, I was a little worried the movie would diverge greatly from the book. It is inevitable that a movie will be slightly different from its book counterpart, but I thought the wolves would be horrible, the plot would be dragged out, and the viewer would be bored thru-out much of the movie. I was wrong. Although the movie did diverge from the book, overall, it stayed with the book's plot, with omissions of course. There were bits of humor and suspense added that were not in the book, that made the viewing experience much greater than expected. There are some directing issues that could have been resolved, but you will see this in any movie. I am highly satisfied with the movie.

New Moon was great! The acting was much better than in Twilight and the movie stayed much closer to the book as well. Overall it was excellent and I will definitely see it again! Can't wait for the next one!!

I thought New Moon was better than Twilight! Book number 2 was not my favorite of the series, but the movie was action packed, directing and acting were great!! I can't wait for the next two movies to come out!! We had a group of 19 woman go and see it and EVERYONE loved it!!

I am a huge huge fan of the books and was intrigued to see how the movies would be. Robert Pattinson is a terrible Edward and although Kristen Stewart looks like Bella her long drawn out melodramatic acting in this movie was positively excruciating to have to sit through. The only bright spot in this film is Jacob. He fits the part and can act. The other two give unbelievably poor portrayals of a fantastic book. I would definetely not see this movie, read the book, it was much better.

I think New Moon was so much better than Twilight. The effects were amazing. The wolves were so cool. I was still a bit disappointed by how Jasper was portrayed, so stiff and bug eyed, but the make-up for the vampires was so much better this time around. Jacob was amazing!!!!! And the cliffhanger ending certainly leaves you wanting more. I will definitely be heading to see Eclipse when it comes out and will probably even see New Moon a couple more times.

I have mixed feelings about this movie. New Moon was my least favorite of the four books. I did enjoy the movie though. I expected a little more from it but I think it might have been because I was thinking of the book the entire time.
I liked what they did with the wolves and think they did a great job when they transformed.
I will see the movie again though and try hard not to compare it to the book. Then I will update my review.

If you were skeptical about this movie after seeing Twlight and how much it deviated from the book, worry not. This movie is very true to the book and you aren't left with a feeling that things are missing. Special effects are phenominal! You will want to see it again and again.

I thought New Moon was awesome!! I loved how closely it followed the book. Normally I am a Team Edward girl however Taylor Lautner's performance brought me over to the wolf side. Seeing the movie reminded me of just how melodramatic Edward was in the book. I felt Robert Pattinson played that role perfectly because I was a bit annoyed with Edward in the book and definitely annoyed with him in the movie hahaha! Kristen Stewart uped her game in this one! She was a much more personalbe Bella than in the first. Great job all around. Wolf transformations= scary! Loved it!

Overall, I thought that the movie was great! It really brought the book to life. I also, really liked the way they added more clips of Edward with out having too much of him.
I think that even if you are not a twilight fan, you will enjoy this movie.

As a Twilight fan, I was disappointed in the 1st movie. I was very worried about this one. Within the first 10 minutes, I knew this time was different! I loved it. It was true to the book; the few departures made sense and flowed with the rest of the movie. 5 Stars! Incredibly good!

I agree with most others that to really enjoy the movies you need to have read the books or you simply miss the details that lend to the excitement. However, THANK YOU so much for keeping the movies free of promiscuity and language....just goes to show you can make a blockbuster without subjecting us to that. As for the shirts off scenes and those complaining - please give me a break! Our kids have been exposed to so much worse on basic tv and other PG13 movies that I would gladly take the shirts off scenes over nudity and lovemaking scenes any day of the week! Great job to all - film crew and actors! Nice special effects!

i love this series as a book new moon is a good movie if you have read the book but my husband whom i dragged to go see it said it seem like the last movie but i think that is just because he has not read the series.Plus he didnt like the fact that i squealed like a teen when jacob took of his shirt. :) edward has nothing on my wolf boy it would have been nice for him to get the girl though.

I loved the movie, it had a few "cheesy" parts such as the dream sequence of bella as a vampire, where there were chuckles in the audience, but other than that I really enjoyed it. Enjoyed seeing the wolves brought to life and the animation was pretty good. I think I am switching to team jacob - he was so cute in this movie!! What a bod! if you enjoyed the book you will love the movie!

I know that it's difficult to take a book and turn it into a movie - particularly when the book has so many details and plot twists. To me, this movie tried to do too much and danced around on the surface of EVERYTHING that was in the book. On the upside, Taylor Lautner gave a spectacular performance as the unnaturally confident 16 year old Jacob. The special effects were quite good and the movie satisfied my need for a new Twilight movie fix. I hope that it also worked for anyone who hasn't read the book.

This movie was by far the best remake of the book. When I saw Twilight, I was a bit dissapointed with the fact that they cut out a lot of the book and changed a lot of scenes. When I got out of the theater Friday morning, I was so happy because New Moon had stayed so true to the book. It was everything I expected and more. I'm so looking foward to Eclipse!!

New Moon was stepped up a hole other notch. It was way better than the first now that the werewolves were present. The story seemed much more realistic than the first, it is very similar to the book's presentation of new moon. Every bit of it was excellent. I enjoyed the characters, their acting was much better and Jacob took the stage and owned it. Thanks for a wonderful movie. Great work. I will look forward to seeing eclipse in theaters near me.

I'm glad the music wasn't awkward and too theatrical in this movie. The action and drama was enough to carry the plot without it. The actors seemed to get a better grasp on acting in this sequel and there were less uncomfortable moments when you felt like they were just overacting for the sake of overacting. Great chemistry. Great effects.

Excellent! I agree with others who say if you did not read and love these books you may not like or get as much out of the movies. But as a huge TwiFan, I loved seeing my favorite characters on screen again. New Moon was well-made, a million times better than Twilight. Not for kids! There are some creepy and violent scenes.

I found that the movie was excellent. I love the part where Alice was being sarcastic to Jacob. I especially loved the ending and I cannot wait til the next Twilight comes out. Eventhough the movie was excellent, I think they could had put a little bit more action to it.
