I really enjoyed the movie, it was much better than the original Twilight movie, I think the much large budget really helped. The deviation from the story was okay, but I would have liked to have seen it stay a little more in line with the book, but over all it was good!

I LOVED New Moon! Fans of the book won't be disappointed compared to Twilight. It followed the book more closely. The acting and special effects were greatly improved. Although, Jasper was still odd...looked more like the Joker from Batman.
I'm completely loyal to Edward, however, Jacob was much more irresistible in the movie to me than the book. Taylor did a great job.
Can't wait to see it again!

If you are a fan of the Twilight series and have read New Moon, you will enjoy the movie immensely. The movie follows the book very closely. Taylor Lautner as Jacob Blake carries this movie...and he is awesome...he looks good too. :) The special effects are fantastic, especially the werewolves. I saw the movie on Friday night and the theater was packed. From the crowd reaction when the movie ended I'd say it was a hit! Twilighters go see it!

The movie was very good, billion times better then the first in terms of quality and acting. However since there is so much in the book, the film has to skim over most of the movie. They rely on the fact that you've read the books and can fill in the blanks. They cover everything , but it's rather shallow. I think my biggest glitch was that I didn't really feel the bond that formed between bella and jake that deeply. Anyway, they could have easily added another hour, which would have been a Titanic long movie, but really... would anyone have minded?????

I thought they did a good job of portraying the book. Of course there were some things that were different, but overall I think it was definately a good movie that was worth my money. I also liked how they made sure they had some of the humor that is found in the book, b/c I think it helps bring the characters more to life for the audience.

I love this series and this was more to true to the book than Twilight, but it was really really good. I have been waiting for this movie for months and got my tickets a week early! For the firs time I didn't mind waiting with the 14 year olds!!! Go team Edward!

Loved the movie. It followed the book pretty good and it didn't drag like the book did. Loved Jacob. I am glad that he stayed for his part as Jacob. I love that there was humor incoorperated into it. Can't wait to see the next one.

This movie was by far better than Twilight, which I also enjoyed. The movie had great special effects, the action scenes were great as well. The directing in this movie was much better than the first. I loved the cliffhanger ending as well. I look forward to seeing Eclipse in June!

This movie beats the subject of "forbidden love" into a miserable surrender. The actors are over-dramatic and the intimate scenes are killed with long pauses intended to add depth and mystery, but are merely flashbacks of previous scenes played out over and over again in different locations. Yawn! There is some good humor interspersed throughout and this is refreshing and needed in a film this deeply serious.

For Twihard fans, it may have been a relief to see the movie parallel the book so closely...for me it was too close. It flowed well but there was no real climax to the plot; the part that was supposed to be the climax ignored Edward's and Alice's abilities, rendering them nearly helpless at the hands of less-able fighters. Bella and Jacob's relationship was developed beautifully and Taylor Lautner was impressive considering his development as an actor. The soundtrack left something to be desired; it was boring and incongruent with the emotions being portrayed.

The new director for this movie did very well in sticking with the plot and compressing key events so that everything flowed well. Stewart's acting was a lot better in this movie than the first. Didn't really understand her screaming nightmares though.
As usual, the movie requires you to focus a lot on the actors' facial expressions, as a lot of their thoughts and emotions go unsaid, and there is a lot of intense staring/glaring. wouldn't be a bad idea to read the book beforehand.
Loved the montage of Jacob/Bella fixing up the bikes, and Bella's dream that opens up the movie.

I have not read the books, but I fell in love with the Twilight movie for its romance and intensity. New Moon was very different, but just as good. It definitely did not have the same romantic flavor, but was just as intense. I was worried it may not be as good, but it was. The interaction of the characters was great as usual and the action was much better than the first movie. Go see it!

i had a great time last time at the movies- new moon was much better than twilight. i liked the way the movie expressed the months that passed when edward left bella, the werewolves, and the volturi were exactly as i pictured. the movie was an excellent representation of the book. it really stayed true to the text. highly recommended!

Between Kristen Stewarts face twitches, lack of range and Rob Pattinson's facial expressions it's hard to take any thing they're trying to portray serious.
I want to give Taylor Lautner a huge congratulation for actually showing promise as an actor. I think he gives Kristen and Rob something to work towards. Chris Weitz should be ashamed he failed to out do a low budget director. I feel in love with the books and have yet to see any reason to do the same with the movies. These books are not being brought to life on the big screen, rather killing the fantastic images Stephenie Meyer was able to create with just words.

Having read all the books before watching the first movie I was greatly disappointed. As a hairstylist and makeup artist the first movie horrified me. I feel this movie makes up for most of that. The story line follows the book much closer as well as the acting and special effects improved so much. What a difference a real movie budget can make!

I enjoyed the movie very much, but I do feel like it should have been stretched out a little. I felt like I sat down to the opening credits and was walking out during the ending credits 20 minutes later. I appreciated the CGI for the wolves and the transitions of the actors into the wolves. It was very smooth and, having read the books, the wolves were exactly how I pictured them.
I also enjoyed the comedy aspects of it. I laughed so much during the book and it didn't seem like the director would be able to incorporate that, but he did very well.
I would defiinitely recommend this movie.

was better than the first but the acting was still mediocre. they didn't focus completely on what they should have...the break-up scene could have been much better...there should have been more jacob-bella interaction...the scene when bella pushes edward out of the sunlight should have had more depth and feeling...the scene in bella's bedroom after edward returns should have been given more emphasis...in the book, tender words are shared and intimate moments between edward and bella surface because he tells her he will never leave her again and the movie left all that "love" out of that scene.
