I heard one reviewer say that 'if you are teenager you'll love this movie, if you aren't, then you won't.' I completely disagree. I love this movie and I'm old enough to have a teenager.
If you are a fan of the Twilight series or the first Twilight movie, then you'll enjoy this movie.
The special effects are much better than the first movie, the story follows the book closely and the characters stay true to the book.
Two big changes from the first movie is that the Cullens' eyes seem more golden in New Moon than before and of course, there's much less Edward. The overall look of the movie is much more colorful than the first.
It was great to have Jacob's character developed. I can't wait for Eclipse.

This movie was fabulous. Even better than the first one. I really liked that it stuck t the book more than the first one did. Great script, acting, effects...great job all together! I am SO excited and ready for Eclipse & Breaking Dawn! Thanks so much!

The movie was only ok. It took all the drama and sad parts from the book and put them together into one long depressing movie. The book had so many good parts that got left out of the movie. It was however, much better than the twilight movie thanks to the new director. If you are a die hard fan of the series, its worth going to on the big screen, but if your not crazy about them, don't waste your time.

Thought the movie was awesome. Plot kept you in the movie; no time for mind to wonder. Surprised that there were empty seats. Suppose early movies are not as popular. Ending leads well for next movie with huge bomb dropped.

I have been waiting for New Moon to come out since I saw Twilight. This was a very good film. They did an excellent job of keeping it very close to the book. I think they picked up on all the most important details of the book. The graphics and special effects were great too.

My sister started me on the Twilight Series over the summer. I didn't know anything about it prior to that. So, I watched the movie and was instantly hooked. I went out and bought the book series and started reading Twilight on my 9 hour drive home. When I began reading New Moon, I started seeing the previews for the movie and couldn't wait for it to come out. I finished reading New Moon the day it came out in theaters, and went to see it the next day. It was great! There were quite a few funny parts, not all sappy love story stuff, and my husband really enjoyed it as well. I just started Eclipse and cant wait for that to come out at the theater!! Stephanie Meyer ROCKS!

I have read the series and this movie gave me exactly what I had pictured / wanted from the book. It was perfectly done and I was very invested in it.
The bad reviews and ratings are almost all from older men...who I would bet have not read the books.
So, for those in the "Bitter Barn, bailing their Hate Hay"...get over it. Just b/c your girlfriend was screaming at the screen at Rob's brooding stare or TL's 8 pack, doesn't make it a bad film.
A strong thumbs up.

Books r wonderful The movies r nothing but a money trap 2 lure in the angst ridden tweens 2 fawn ovr Taylor L's abs Which they do They scream when he takes his shirt off. Do urself a favor & read the books before u watch the movies so u don't ruin the books. They shouldve cast Edwrd different as the book portrays him as god-like and statuesque and RPatz is a sad emogoth kitten. The acting & CGI were wretched You'd think 4 such a pwrhouse box ofc slammer they'd take some time & make it look lifelike. I was most disappointed when Edward leaves. In the book its such a powerful emotional scene. The franchise of movies has taken what could have been a powerful, brilliant & touching love story and turned it in2 a tween lustfest

I like Chris Weitz as a director, so when he got New Moon, I was excited. He stuck as close to the book as he could, only adding a few small things, and only leaving out a few things. The acting was 100% better, on all parts, Kristen especially. I was impressed not only with Kristen's acting, but Rob and Taylor as well. I hadn't ever seen another Taylor movie. I'm totally Team Edward, but Taylor made me want to cry when Bella leaves for Italy, he was pulling at my heart with his portrayal of Jacob, he was so close to turning me into a traitor. With Taylor portraying Jacob, I can now understand why people are Team Jacob, he brought to life the character so well, and makes him so much more likable then the books (IMO at least) made him to be.

We just went to see New Moon yesterday morning, and cannot tell you how much we loved it ! My husband and I are HUGE Twilight fans and are so pleased with how this movie turned out -- we love Twilight, but New Moon is even better ! They did such a good job keeping to the book - there was never a dull moment. We are going backt to see it again next weekend ..... just fantastic -- cannot say enough great things about it :D)

New Moon as a movie is greatly improved over Twilight, which I thought was a mediocre 2.5 at best. For New Moon, the acting is better, the script is better (lots of jokes), the directing is better - it is improved across the board. I have a love-hate relationship with the Twilight books and the only thing keeping this movie from being 5 stars are the elements that come from the book.

New Moon was well worth the wait! The action scenes were well done and it left me waiting for Eclipse! I did prefer the book, but it's hard to compare a book to the film version of anything. It certainly was not a disappointment. It was short though...before I knew it the film was done. If people have not watch Twilight or if they have not read the books it may be difficult to understand.

They did a very good job on this movie. It remained as close to book as possible and the storyline flowed well. There was only one scene that I thought did not fit but in a movie/story this long it wasn't too bad and it's brief. I have seen it twice already! If you read the book you will not be disappointed!

The movie was great from start to finish. Everyone's acting improved 100%. I cried when Kristen Stewart (Bella) had to deal with the loss of Edward. She really pulled me in. Jacob was amazing as always and although Edward was gone for most of the film, it was necessary. I wish there was more scenes with the Cullens though.

This movie surpassed my expectations. New Moon was my least favorite of the four books in the series, but the movie actually made me understand the book better. I would really recommend this movie to a friend. The special effects are spectacular and the emotions are very real. In my opinion The Twilight Saga: New Moon was significantly better than Twilight.

This was a overall good movie. The CGI was great & the way they portrayed the characters. From 1st movie it is an improvement & glad to see they changed directors. There were some changes between the movie & the book, but nothing like the 1st movie. I think this movie having Bella confront Paul & the rest of the wolf pack the way she did added to the drama & her relationship w/ Jacob. If you are looking for a movie that is going to be identical to the book I would rate this a B-, if you are looking for a movie that is as close to the book as possible without being a 6 hour movie you will enjoy it. There is enough Action to please the guys & enough romance to please the woman. Overall rating? A-
