We have got to remember that Twilight Books are teen books...so the movies should be for that crowd as well. Anyone thinking that it should be something different is wrong. I think both movies have been fantastic. I believe that they support the books very true to content. The New Moon book for me was slower than Twilight as was the movie. However, the fight sequences and the volturi made up for any slowness. If you are going and expecting another twilight you will be disappointed. Go read the books and you will enjoy the movies much more. There are innuendos and comments made that only the people reading the books will get. I believe it is a must see, can't wait for Eclipse...that was my favorite book!

Sit back and laugh this movie is full of great one liners that has the entire theatre laughing. The screenplay follow the dialogue of the book nearly word for word. True fans will want to see it again and again.

I attended the film with my 12 year old daughter. We both had read the book and were very satisfied with the movie. It contained every important plot point and "fleshed" out the characters and their conflicts very well. There were chuckles, excitement, and a bit of smoochie stuff with no ones hands under anyones shirts,providing they wore one! I am old enough to note that Lon Chaney never took his shirt off! I f I looked like Jacob I wouldn't even own a shirt. Good value and great for starting a nice discussion about folklore.

New Moon was absolutely amazing from start to finish! it was just like the book, which was incredible! Jacob is so hot and caring! and Edward is unbelievably sexy! Im so going to watch this again and again! Cant wait for Eclipse that comes out in June!!!!!!

The movie started off amazing and followed the book fairly closely with a few innovative twists. The movie kept me engaged and also it was very easy for those who haven't read the books to keep up. I wish it had been longer! The movie was amazing and kept me wanting more! A must see! Also the special effets were amazing. Overall an amazing movie. I have seen it twice already.

I thought at that New Moon followed the book relatively well with only a couple errors. When I go to see a movie that has been based on a book, I look for closeness, and I got it throughout most of the movie. The cliffhanger at the end was completely different from the book and some of the scenes were wrong, but over all, it was good. I liked all of the actors portrayal of the characters and thought that they all did a good job. Hopefully Eclipse will be just as good, if not better.

I went into this movie w/ an open mind, and I have to admit, New Moon is probably my third or least favorite of the Twilight series, so I figured if it blows, WTH, there's always Eclipse and Breaking Dawn to look foward to, and I'll always have a special place for the indie greatness of Twilight. However, New Moon was in very good hands w/ Chris Weitz at the helm, who helped tighten the whole story which I thought lagged a bit in the book, and he managed to tie together the past and future storylines of the Twilight series so that we're definitely left hungering for more. Good job, CW!! And thanks for giving us one of the most awesome soundtracks!!!

Acting better but still boring. Thank goodness for books or noone would really understand this movie at all. Tween movie for sure. Thought the girls in the audience were going to faint when Jacob took off his shirt. It was impressive!! Jacob is the best actor in the series and will be seen after this movie fades. Not so sure about Edward and Bella.

This movie was viewed by my spouse, my 12 yr old daughter (who has read every book 3 times or more), and myself. It was slightly boring in the beginning... just like a same ole' same ole' kind of love story. Upon Edward leaving, and Bella's heart being torn constantly, the action begins, and once it begins, it keeps you on the edge with "what will happen next" .... when is Edward coming back... etc..
I would recommend this movie to anyone who likes love stories with alittle action, and also happy endings.

I love this movie. I thought it was better then the first. It stayed very close to the book, which I loved. I thought they could have captured more from the book then they did but over all it was a great movie. I can't wait to see Eclipse and what they decide to do with Breaking Dawn.

Team Edward! Oh yeah the review :) This movie was great. I have NOT read the books but, the gf explained how parts are missing comparing to the book. I guess that will happen with movies and the books...Otherwise from seeing Twilight to New Moon..This was pretty awesome.. Nice touch with the ending to get all the girls drueling for Eclipse? I think thats the next one...?

Took my 11 year old daughter to watch New Moon. Of course, I'm the one who has been waiting to watch the movie. She's into Jacob - I'm into what Edward stands for. This movie was so worth the wait! I liked how the movie remained loyal to the book and I absolutely loved the way the movie ended. The groans from the crowd was the perfect ending. I'm looking forward to June 2010 for the next installment of The Twilight Saga - Eclipse.

I loved every delicious bit of the book series. It isn't really about vampires and warewolves, but instead, like Romeo and Juliet, a classic case of forbidden love. The books are so beautifully written and the movies aren't meant as a stand alone, but instead as a compliment to the book, so if you see Twilight (first movie), don't act like you get it if you didn't read the books. The second movie, New Moon, could be understood by the people that foolishly didn't read the book, but EXCELLENT to those that did. The acting was so good (leaps and bounds better than the first), Jacob's body (and the other wolfpack) was amazing, and the power between the three was earth moving.

Cinematography is an art, and I think that when a director brings a book to life, people, all too often, forget how much work it takes to bring that book to life. I applaud Chris Weitz and his crew for doing a splendid job with New Moon. I went in with no expectations, and I came out pleased! If you go in to watch this movie hoping it will be EXACTLY like the book, you are setting up yourself for disappointment. Rather, go see the movie bearing in mind that the director and his crew have a couple of hours to bring the book to life and appreciate the blood, sweat, and tears it took to be able to pull it off.

Omg is all I can say! I loved this movie and I am a 36 year old women. The love story is great and the effects in this movie are wonderful much like the first. I read the book so I knew that Edward would not be in this movie as much as the first but it was nice to see the Jacob protion of it and his story. All i can say is that i loved it and so did my 11 year old daughter. These movies have brought us closer as mother and daughter. Reading the books together and seeing the movies. A++++ movie! counting down to see the 3rd movie!

I was excited to see New Moon because I wanted to know how the new director would portray the books and he did great! He did much better than the first movie director. The entire movie paralleled the sequences in the book perfectly and the casting of the wolves and the Volturi was really good. My two cons are that the music just wasn't right, and I do not like anything on the soundtrack at all compared to the first movie and the second half of the plot was developed too fast; I think they should have developed the first half to lead to the longer second half. But overall an awesome movie!

I have two young teenage daughters who are avid Twilight fans. They have read all the books several times, and hope for a fifth book soon. The movie New Moon was entertaining and kept your interest from start to finish. We will look forward to the next movie in the series and defintely go see it. As a parent, it was okay, as a young teen............LOVE IT!!!!!
