Cinematography is an art, and I think that when a director brings a book to life, people, all too often, forget how much work it takes to bring that book to life. I applaud Chris Weitz and his crew for doing a splendid job with New Moon. I went in with no expectations, and I came out pleased! If you go in to watch this movie hoping it will be EXACTLY like the book, you are setting up yourself for disappointment. Rather, go see the movie bearing in mind that the director and his crew have a couple of hours to bring the book to life and appreciate the blood, sweat, and tears it took to be able to pull it off.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
