I enjoyed Iron Man 2, it had the expected action sequences. Rourke delivered a believable Russian accent and Downey was excellent. I feel it could inspire kids to study the sciences due to the scenes in the movie when Stark is using his math and science background to use. I won't say what he does with it, but the scenes are awesome.

The movie was entertaining for the most part. The gratuitious start with the Cowboy cheerleaders dressed up as Ironwomen was a little over the top and implausible. Some of the scenes were too much robot action and some premises were a little too predictable.

Overall, this was very entertaining! I'd definitely see it again or buy it when it comes out in DVD or Blue-Ray. I saw this movie as less of an action flick (but there still was quite a bit of action) and more of a movie that chose to develop their characters and character relationships: Pepper and Tony, Tony and Nick Fury, and IronMan's upgrades. It just sets up the movie for other sequels. I loved Scarlett J and I hope to see more of her in upcoming IronMan movies. I'm glad the movie didn't turn into something like a Saturday morning cartoon. It has an adult theme, while still keeping up with some humor and cool action sequences. Well done.

It was an entertaining movie but not fantastic. They certainly have the star power to make it very good but it was a little 'hokey' and the story line was weak. They could have made the story line drama much more intense. Great special effects and some laughs.

I am a bit of an action snob and have to have some substance in my movies too. The first iron man really took you to the grit of violence and I was hoping they did not cartoon this one up too much. If this movie were for my kids and not me it would be about the power rangers or whatever junk they watch nowadays. Rourke(whiplash) was great, would like to have seen more of him. His character had alot to offer and was reduced to a series of one-liners. Plot was ok. I agree that the bickering between starke and pepper was overdone, but then again several items in the movie were kinda overdone. They didnt ruin it, and while it did not give me shivers of joy like the first one did, it came across more as a developing sequel, leading into another storyline for ironman. Oh and someone please tell the directors that the fancy schmancy flying through the air while body climbing the bad guys is good when your needing some eye candy, but just annoys people looking for a real action sequence. On the plus side you get to see iron man upgrade his suit a little more. The action scenes are starting to look like the old iron man movements, and you get to see some of the relationship between starke and his father.

Although it lacks some of the punch and originality of the first Iron Man film, this is a lot of fun. New villains, especially Mickey Rorke, new characters, especially Scarlett Johansson, and new technology all come together in an exciting and satisfying weave in graphic novel style. Robert Downey, Jr. is ever the consummate actor and with Gwyneth Paltrow as his squeeze/assistant, the chemistry is just what you'd expect. Samuel L. Jackson is beginning to take on the role of Nick Fury and we are just beginning to see the evolution of the Avengers. Stay through the credits once again just as in the first Iron Man film for the final scene!

Enjoyable sequal. RDjr. is excellent as quirky Tony Stark. The playful scenes between Stark and Pepper are endearing. The intial battle between Vanko and Stark in Monoco seemed created... but loved when Vanko went to work for Hammer. Sam Rockwell makes a great weasel.

I wasn't expecting any great cinematic exploits with this movie, just a fun action flick, and that's what I got. The special effects were good, the acting was fair and the story line was different enough from the first movie that I didn't feel like I was watching the same thing all over again. Before seeing this movie, my friend told me it was entertaining, but it's not something you'd want to see again. That's exactly how I'd describe this title. I am an audio buff, so that's what I look for in a movie- some things in the audio department were amazing (how you could hear every piece of the suit distinctly, and others were obnoxious (the suit had a goofy personality sound to it like when he's drunk). I advise, if you want an exciting night out with some friends- go to this movie. But I would also advise that's ALL you do, don't buy this movie- it's a one hit wonder.

My wife and I both enjoyed this movie. Just the right amount of character development, action and tech-swank to feed the brain. I thought most of the actors were appropriately cast and did an excellent job with their roles. I definitely would see a third Iron Man. Weird that Mickey Rourke and Don Cheadle are not mentioned here as starring roles. They were both excellent in the film (major cheers to Mickey Rourke for his well deserved come-back)! Just now saw Sam Rockwell in "Moon" and thought he did a much better job in that film as well as in "The Green Mile."

sam rockwell really showed up for this role. he casts a big shadow over the rest of the 'starring' actors. see 'the moon'...another great rockwell film...a one-man-show of his acting flair and virtuosity. as for iron man 2...the only other thing i can say is---please dont make a third. this series reminds me of the matrix so far. great first flick...then just gets muddy with special effects and over-complicated plot maneuvers. not much 'acting' going on here.....i can understand johannsson... perfect role for her...show up....look sexy...shes a pretty average actress...but what is gwyneth paltrow thinking? r|z

it was a movie with a good plot, many twists and turns and held your attention the whole movie. completely enjoyed it!!

This flick is action packed and Robert Downey Jr. is hilarious and more of a chauvinist than ever. The special effcts are out of this world in every aspect of the movie. Mickey Rourke as the antagonist couldnt have been a better pick. A definite must see movie this summer. Wonderful for all ages
