A lot of fun to watch--the gadgets were great, the effects stellar. Micky Rourke = Randy the Ram + electric whips and a russian accent. For me, though, these ended up being nice pitstops along what was an otherwise overarching, somewhat clumsily constructed bridge to opening day for iron man 3. Still, seeing the Prince of Persia trailer beforehand makes you realize how thankful you should be that someone is tackling the fantasy-action genre in a somewhat unique way. Overall, good job Jon Favreau and Justin Theroux--even if this occasionally felt like Swingers inside an iron man suit.

Overall good movie to go and watch. We’ll written, well delivered performances, interesting characters, visually grasping and interesting metaphors for life. For what I felt would be a guy movie, it needed more actions scenes (2 scenes in 124 minutes; you do the math) and at least one deviant woman interest for “Tony Starks” (it’s what we would expect from a guy like Tony) would have been nice. It was great to see Warmahine but I think that for anyone who isn’t familiar with Iron Man, there is no way they would know his characters name because it’s never mentioned in the film. Nonetheless, for anyone who enjoyed watching Iron Man this follow up doesn’t disappoint. P.S For all true fans you might want to stick around until the end of the movie credits.

Iron Man 2 is one of the few sequels that possibly exceeds the original. The critics haven't been kind to this movie, but as usual, the critics have missed the mark.

The movie starts off at a good pace, taking it up right where Iron Man left off before. The plot moved quickly. One character change from the original vexed me, and it was removing Terrence Howard and adding Don Cheadle as if no one would know - and making his character a punk...just ruined it for me. The effects as usual were outstanding. At least Hollywood is getting that down pat these days. The story however was quite predictable and there weren't really any surprises that I didn't see coming a mile away. I saw this at the $5 Mattinee and was glad that was all I paid. This was a great follow-up to an awesome movie. It was unpredictable and well thought out, though I would have liked the final battle scene to be longer and a bit more dramatic. Mickey Rourke's character was defeated too quickly and easily, though it is clear that the defeat did not mean that his character was surely killed, and that would obviously leave the door open for Rourke to return in a third Iron Man movie.

I am not a fan of the first Iron Man but Iron Man 2 was amazing. It had a nice story line, and amazing fighting scenes. If you saw the first one and enjoyed it you should definitely see this one. Even if you didn't enjoy the first one you will most likely enjoy this one.

Jon Favreau did it again! He took a good comic book, turned it into a great movie with Iron Man. Now, he repeated his success with Iron Man 2. The action was really good, but not terribly unbelievable. Don Cheadle was good as Rhodie, but I miss Terrence Howard's rendition of the same character. Pepper was written a little annoying, and I kind of thought she might be a little less damsel in distress and a little more badass. The story was good, and all the story lines were completed enough to feel like there was resolution, but still left you wanting another Iron Man.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
