Slow pace bogged this film down. I fell asleep a couple of times during a matinee. Downey, Cheadle, Rourke solid. Gwyneth, get some acting lessons with your paycheck. Johanssen fight scenes ridiculously unbelievable although she was otherwise on top of her game. Special effects worth watching and best seen on big screen. Definitely not a must-see.

Lot's of good special effects, but my 11 year old nephew and myself thought that the ending should have been more of a finale, more action and longer, just too easy destroying the villain. If you like a lot of action and special effects, this is your movie, lot's of good stuff.

The characters are deeper and the story is great! Robert Downey Jr. and Mickey Rourke are a great hero/villain combo! Don Cheadle was also great as well despite Terrence Howard's departure from the series. Great effects too! Highly Recommended!

In all Iron Man 2 had much more action to offer its viewers than Iron Man 1, however, it did so at the expense of the story. If your looking for a good action movie and don't care about the story then you will enjoy this movie. On the other hand it you where expecting a continuation of the first film then you will be disappointed.
While the movie does pick up from where the last one left off it quickly stagnates into a quagmire of playboy antics and flashy gasoline enhanced explosions. The conflict between the antagonist and protagonist is not even properly explained until the second half of the film.
In the end I was left with the impression that the director had given up on the Iron Man series and had spent the last 30 minutes of the movie setting up the Avengers. Never the less, If you are planning to go see a movie this weekend then there are worse films you could spend your money on this week.

If Iron Man 1 was a 9, then the 2nd is a soft 8. Alot more action in this one which is what the 1st lacked so that was great. I can only say that they tried to put too much/many stories into one movie. Robert Downey was great of course. Worth the watch definetly though.

Iron Man 2 picks up right where the first one left off. It's entertaining in many ways, offering us really good action sequences as well as witty banter and comic-book-esque character interactions.
The dynamic between Sam Rockwell and Robert Downey Jr is hilarious, they need to be on broadway together!

This movie was a great ride! The only problem was the children sitting in our row who kept getting up. It had a good story, great action, glorious actors to watch, and I can't wait for the next movie

We weren't sure initially about seeing a sequel, but Iron Man 2 really delivered! The storyline had heart. Even the "bad guy" was cool! Awesome effects and rock concert music drew-in our whole family. The "techno guru" aspects couldn't have been any better.
