In all Iron Man 2 had much more action to offer its viewers than Iron Man 1, however, it did so at the expense of the story. If your looking for a good action movie and don't care about the story then you will enjoy this movie. On the other hand it you where expecting a continuation of the first film then you will be disappointed.
While the movie does pick up from where the last one left off it quickly stagnates into a quagmire of playboy antics and flashy gasoline enhanced explosions. The conflict between the antagonist and protagonist is not even properly explained until the second half of the film.
In the end I was left with the impression that the director had given up on the Iron Man series and had spent the last 30 minutes of the movie setting up the Avengers. Never the less, If you are planning to go see a movie this weekend then there are worse films you could spend your money on this week.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
