I believe there will be some political fallout from this movie. The movie itself was excellant though and should be seen by action and special effects junkies alike. I could really see he governments of the world selling seats on the arks for a billions dollars a ticket. I am also sure that the world religious leaders all over the world were seriouslydisturbed by all of the lanmarks and Icons they cherish were distroyed as well. It was definately worth every penny of the movie ticket. Watch and enjoy.

Special effects were great. That being said... the story line bordered on rediculous and the story path was annoying at times. I had it figured out way too soon. There were no surprises. I do not recall hearing the boy's name until the end... and when it was heard it was an "of course" moment... The story was terribly flawed. My recommendation: wait until 2013 when you can see this at home when there is nothing else on tv.

How unfortunate that even the CGI effects could not save this film. From its cliché filled story-line to the terrible acting (on the level of Gilligan's Island) this movie left me feeling empty and duped. I recommend skipping the lines and the movie altogether.

I enjoyed this movie from beginning to end. Great Story Line. It had me on a roller coaster of emotions from excitement to disappointment. The special effects were superb. While those that built the arks were not saved among so many others, I sort of thought it was ingenius to save the animals, art and the leaders of the world to be the ones who would be rebuilding the new world.

I enjoyed 2012. It was exactly as it advertised itself to be - an action movie with special effects. Regardless of whether or not anything in the movie could or will happen in our real world, that was not the point. Just accept the premise that the movie sets up, and go with it. I felt genuine emotions about the characters.
I realize and accept that other people won't like the movie. That's fine, because there are some movies that I dislike as well. However, I'm not going to call those people morons. Let's just all accept that our interests are varied.

The Earth's crust collapsing scenes were awesome, but, the main character's limo would NOT have made it through SO many near misses. Nor the plane.. or the (Soviet) Plane, or in the hold of the Ark/Ship... Overall, the movie was exciting and I liked the ending. The premise was good as well. It sets up very well for a sequel.. regarding what happened to the Human Race.. after 2012 and the landing in Africa. It wasn't as good as what I was expecting, but, it was still a decent movie worth seeing.

This movie was a lot of fun. It kept us on the edge of our seats the whole time. We weren't expecting "reality" so we weren't disappointed as some have said. The storyline was good with several twists along the way as well as unexpected humor. Good to see John Cusack again and we also enjoyed hearing Adam Lambert's music at the end -- a nice contribution to a cool movie. We would spend the $$ to see it again on the big screen and will definitely add it to our home collection when it comes out on DVD.

The movie 2012 was very good. It had me sitting on the edge of my charge. I really enjoyed this picture. When everything was being destroyed and the people were running, I really felt bad for them. There was no where to go. There should have been more graphics. I think the picture would have had more of an impact if it was done in 3D. You would have felt it more. Certain things I did not like were how they had the President die and some other people. But the irony of this picture is, greed and selfness will always overcome in the end. We will never learn. The movie was action pack from begining to the end. The graphics were unbelievable. Go see it!

The special effects were worth the cost of the movie. The movie was action packed throughout however, some of the flee scenes with Cusack's family were a little hard to believe. Aside that and some corny one liners it was entertaining. And heck, isn't that what we go to the movies for?
