My family attended TOY STORY 3 for Father's Day and all agreed that some of it was pretty intense for younger children (or just sensitive ones), but a great film otherwise. I personally didn't like the 3-D glasses, or the loud announcements interrupting the end credits reminding us to return them), but they are essential for appreciating the totally fabulous "Night and Day" animated short on the beginning of the film. DO NOT ARRIVE LATE or miss the short.

My 6 yr old son has waited 1 year for this movie. He is obsessed with Buzz and his friends. He even writes Buzz after his name on all of his school work. He did find a few parts of the movie to be scary but loved the Spanish Buzz. Liked the new characters but found some of the parts to be a little grown up for children. Really tugged at my heartstrings and made me cry. No one wants our kids to grow up and I could relate with Andy growing up because my son is Andy. Great job Disney!!!!

I took my 6 year old daughter on opening night and we both loved the movie. I would not recommend it in 3D as I thought that was a waste of money being that there wasn't much 3D to it. Definitely a must see in 2D!!! There was only one part where my 6 year old was a little scared when the big baby is sitting on the swing, patrolling the area. I have to admit it reminds me of an adult scary movie so I can understand why she didn't like that part. Other than that one part and seeing it in 3D, the movie was absolutely wonderful!!!!!

We saw this movie on Saturday with a theater full of children. They loved it, and so did we! Pixar is, for my money, and my heart, the most tender, sensitive and magical production company. I took my 4 year old daughter to this movie. We loved the new characters, and the heart warming finish. I too must agree that the scene with the incinerator was a bit scary for my daughter and other youngsters in the audience who all began saying "I want to go now". The movie recovered their attention shortly thereafter. Overall- I thought it was a great movie.

Have followed all the toy story movies since 1994. This movie seems like it may have brought an end to the era. It was entertaining as well as emotionally appealing. It was the first cartoon that had me crying. This movie would be just as good in 2D as it was in 3D though. I wasn't that impressed with the effects of 3D on this one.

This movie has a great plot, and story theme. But however seeing it in 3-D was not a good decision. There was 3-D effects but not enough to pay the surcharge. My suggestion: watch it regular 2-D.

It was sweet - we have watched Andy grow up. My family enjoyed it. I was worried my 5 yr old would be afraid of the dump/fire scene. But she seemed to be fine. I wish the writers would have been more careful with the language- (calling names- again the dump scene comes to mind). Touching ending. I know we will see it many times in the coming years.

We took our 3 grandchildren to see this movie Saturday. Ages 3. 5 & 8. They really loved it. Grandpa and I loved it, although, I would not recomend the 3D. There was really nothing great to make it 3D. Save yourself some money and just see the regular screen.

I loved the movie and the new toys. I especially loved the touching end. I felt the firery furnace scene with the toys all linking hands giving in to their doom was a bit unnecessary and too dark for a four-year-old. I had to cover his eyes and reassure him all would be well. other than that enjoy!

Toy Story 3 brings the series full circle, and is a wonderful, if bittersweet, conclusion to the story.
Kids that are new to the series will like this one, there's plenty of action and humor to keep the little ones in their seats.
As for those of us that grew up with the Toy Story movies? Well, bring a few kleenex! If you don't tear up at at least one point in this movie, you're made of tougher stuff than me.
There are several poignant scenes in the film, and wonderful call backs to the previous two features.
As for the 3D...it wasn't eye popping, "in your face", type of effects. It added more depth to the picture and made it seem more "real". I don't think that this film would lose anything if you saw it in 2D only.
Bring the kids, bring the kleenex, and everyone should go home happy!

Before the movie, I had made up my mind that it would be more 3D effect and less story for kid, but I was wrong. The story line was amazing and very much in line with good message for kids. For me the best part was Buzz in Spanish mode. :)

What a great family movie! All the favorite characters are back and as loveable as ever! The story-line is wonderful and there's little unexpected surprises along the way. There was more emotional depth to this Toy Story, I thought, than the other two. Great way to spend some time with your family and feel good when you leave the theatre! Go see it! I thought I would laugh more, or that my children (ages 4&6) would laugh more. They are both well versed in TS1 and TS2, but my 6 yo's primary concern was over how much garbage there is in a landfill.
Buzz is very funny, and Woody is very noble. And as a mom and former kid I found myself weeping freely over the resolution.
I would recommend seeing it, but I would NOT recommend the 3D. There were times when my 4 removed her glasses and claimed it was the same without them. It's not worth the extra $ for added depth.

this movie was wonderful! the movie came full circle and made me laugh as well as cry. This is a must see in the theatre with your little ones. If you have teenagers that wetre little when the first toy Story came out, try and drag them too, they wont regret it. Pixar is great with all of their movies but this movie really takes the cake.

We saw this movie on Father's Day --family of 4 (2 gals, 2 guys). We all loved it and my daughter wants the Ken & Barbie doll. 3D is okay, but my son doesn't care for it and a lot of the movie didn't really utilize that feature. I loved the message of kids growing up and leaving their toys behind--especially from the toys' viewpoint. I know my daugther will take at least 1 toy with her to college. I cried at the ending as I thought of her leaving one day. Go see it, but you can skip the 3D!

My four kids and I took my husband to see the movie for Father's Day. We all loved it! It had kid humor, adult humor, an interesting villain, and well-developed characters! It was a fun, feel-good movie and had lots of emotion. I even welled up a little bit! Disney has done it again!
