Best use of 3-D Ever!

HUGO was not well-attended when I saw it, and admittedly has a plot that will appeal primarily to those who enjoyed the book or true lovers of cinema and cinema history, which I am, so I ADORED this film!
The primary reason to see it, though, is for the 3-D, which is stunning in the hands of a true artist like filmmaker Martin Scorsese. The child actors are superb, as is Ben KIngsley as the grumpy toy merchant in the Montparnasse Station!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Great #3!

My family attended TOY STORY 3 for Father's Day and all agreed that some of it was pretty intense for younger children (or just sensitive ones), but a great film otherwise.
I personally didn't like the 3-D glasses, or the loud announcements interrupting the end credits reminding us to return them), but they are essential for appreciating the totally fabulous "Night and Day" animated short on the beginning of the film. DO NOT ARRIVE LATE or miss the short.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Dark Knight no disappointment

Dark Knight exceeded all my expectations. It has an amazing ensemble cast, rich plot and lots of surprises. Heath Ledger really does deserve an Oscar nod...not as a sympathy vote, but because he is unbelievably good in this movie.
If you don't want to plunge into a really, truly dark movie, then don't see this one, but if you like this kind of serious entertainment, don't miss it.
The director actually shows amazing restraint, despite the wicked things that happen in this film. He apparently understands that the imagination sometimes is more powerful than actually seeing violence.
Score is awesome, too, so attend at a theatre with the best sound possible.
Great, great movie. The ideal antidote to WALL-E's sugary sweetness this summer.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
