Can't honestly review the movie because the seats we had were located in the front row. A row that should not even exist. We couldn't see a thing. Even arriving 15 minutes before the movie began did not help. Buying the tickets 2 days in advance did not help either. The movie began before the scheduled time, which made us miss the opening scene. At a critical point in the movie the power went out. After five minutes, it came back on, but the scene was not replayed. Again, we missed something important. I would love to see this movie again, because honestly I feel like I wasted $30 dollars the night we tried to see it. Good luck.

This has to be the BEST superhero movie ever made. Loved the effects, loved the acting, loved the storyline. Way better than the older batman movies. And the best part is it leaves so much open for discussion about future movies...I can't wait for the next one!

This was the best movie I have seen this year. From christian Bale's portrail of Bruce wayne a.k.a Batman to Heath Ledger's AWESOME portail of the Joker. This is how the Joker should be done. He was not some animated joke on screen he truely brought the charactor to life and showed What a true psycho path would do if the oppertunity presented its self. And showing how the effects of the Jokers crazy rampaids had a direct effect on Bruce Wayne/ Batman was excellently done! The special effects and story totally ROCKED! I think I enjoyed this movie more in the Imax experience then when I first saw it opening day at a regular theatre! And Ladies lets not forget Christian Bale is PURE eye candy for ther eye and the soul!! He is the reason I LOVE BATMAN!! This movie should win some oscars!

While I like the new Batman series and I loved to watch it on IMAX, I have to say that the movie has some flaws. They're really pushing it on hype. First of all, it was too long. Two and a half hours was too much. There was definity at least a half hour they could have cut from it. Second, Legder was good and he had a few good moments, but overall, I was expecting something much greater(say like Nicholson in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest) and was disappointed. Third, the dialogue between characters just seemed like they were running down their lines with each other - wasn't believeable. And last, I was disappointed that the movie wasn't more about Bale - this man has tremendous, inate acting ability and it wasn't tapped as much as it should have been. He shined more in Batman begins. What happened to the Joker? Did he get killed, or did he get away? I couldn't figure it out........ won't see this movie twice. One positive note ....the scenes of the city (especially on IMAX) were gorgeous! As usual, Hollywood is the master at special effects!

I saw this in Imax and it was well worth it. Awesome movie. Heath Ledger stole the show. Very thoughtfully done and not just another dumb action/superhero movie. Chris Nolan did an amazing job with this movie

If you watch one movie this year. Batman: The Dark Knight in IMAX is it! Everything else is anti-climatic. Ledger was amazing as the Joker, the man definately gave it his all in that performance. Great Action sequences. We also get to enjoy a bit more screen time Freedman & Olman compared to the last film. As for Maggie Gyllenhal as Rachel Daws... well you can't have everything, to be fair the writers made all the female characters rather two dimesional, the boys clearly got to have all the fun in this film. To it credit Dark Knight also a very impressive list of highly recoginizable and accomplished actors in what would usually be concidered bit parts. The film is 2hr 30min but trust me you don't feel it.

Best movie of the year, Heath (RIP) really captures the audience in his sinister role. Christian Bale plays Bruce perfectly. Not sure if I liked how they switched Rachel from Katie Holmes to the new girl.
Saw it on regular screen then on IMAX. It is worth seeing it on IMAX, better sound and picture.
Overall it is in my top 5 list of all time movies, can't wait for the blueray disc.

Heath Ledger lives up to all the hype I heard and he definitely is one of those villains you love to hate. I'm not sure the IMAX version of the film was considerably different than the film version, but the larger screen was nice. I couldn't pick out the 6 scenes that were filmed that way, but overall I rate it as one of the best films I've seen in years. I almost feel bad for Christian Bale as Mr. Ledger stole the show. The whole cast deserves the praise for this movie, but major props to Heath. It is for sure a must-see, and take advantage of seeing it in a theater while you can, and I'm sure DLP and IMAX make it even better.

Knowing that the movie was 2.5 hrs, we were cautious about taking our restless young one. The IMAX imagery and the action filled sequences kept us all entertained. Proving that once again, a Batman movie can be made that relies more on characters than gadgets, "The Dark Knight" delves into motivations with relentless intent. Heath Ledger's performance captured the quintessential Joker - of being the dynamic balance to Bruce Wayne's psyche. There was incredible, palpable tension between the two characters.
Christian Bale lets almost nothing touch his face . . . yet the character slips further and further from his heart. He must, indeed, endure. Gary Oldman, again, makes Gordon his own character. Utterly believable. Michael Caine delivers perfectly as Alfred. Aaron Eckhart is so squeaky and bright as Harvey Dent that his descent into insanity doesn't seem like a stretch at all. The interplay between Dent and the Joker really stole the movie. I've been underwhelmed by both actresses that played Rachel, but that may be due to her conflicted and fairly unbelievable nature. It didn't detract from either movie, really. Worth the price of admission (even at IMAX prices), and actually worth seeing a second time.

I saw this movie at an IMAX. No glasses required... The large screen and sound really came out well. I enjoyed Batman Returns a little more, but this is a different type of movie. The Dark Knight contains much more drama and is a deeper sort that puts it above about any other movie out there. The gadgets and action were great. Batman was still tuff, but the Joker seemed to be practically immortal. You never saw anyone limping much the next day. The parts that I thought were a bit far fetched were the magical ways that the Joker was here or there instantly, or planted bombs instantly. Then there was the feelings the movie left in you. Altruistic, yes, but disturbing, dark and alone. I'll buy the DVD, but wouldn't see it twice at the theater.

This movie was excellent. I went with my 9 year old boy and he thought the Joker was the best part of the movie. Really enjoyed the storyline, the effects and action scenes. I will see it again next week with my wife and I never see a movie twice at the theaters ($$)! In every way imaginable, this was the best Batman movie to date, possibly one of the best movies I've seen in many years. Special effects were outstanding, acting was fantastic (especially The Joker), no problems with dialogue, no slow spots, no notable plot holes... just one AWESOME MOVIE!!!

I'll admit, I'm not a huge bat man fan. This movie is amazing! We saw it in IMAX, the only way to see it. You see it in 3D that makes you feel like your in the movie at times. It's 2 1/2 hours, but goes by fast. Heath Ledger was amazing and should be up for an academy award. Get your tickets ahead of time, get there about an hour early to choose your seat and enjoy!

Went to see in Imax. Incredible, this film really comes to life on the big screen. Believe all the hype Ledger is great as the joker, Jack was good but Ledger blows him out of the water and takes the part in a very creepy and amazing direction. The action is non stop and the direction and cinematography really make this movie soar. ALL of the actors make this movie, it's not just Ledger. Be prepared for a great ride and watch for the disappearing pencil.

My husband and I loved it. Heath Ledger made the movie, but Christian Bale was just as impressive as batman. They have taken my all time favorite superhero and made him better than ever. Of course the Imax combined with that made it an unforgetable experience.

Maybe the most amazing piece of movie making I ever saw. The storylines, the characters, the acting and the amazing action was non-stop for the entire length of the movie. I only wish it never stopped. 2hr and 30 min, for me could have been 10 hours and still loved it. Can't wait to see it again in the IMAX!

I went to see this at the IMAX theatre with my adult kids and we all loved it. I had not seen the other Batman movies, but I have seen the TV series when I was a kid. It didn't even matter that this was the first Batman movie I had seen. I was totally fascinated with the Joker! He was so believable as truly evil. I would see this again and again.
