This version of Robinhood was as good, or a little better than the rest. The acting was great and I really liked the actors. The scenery and action was pretty nice too. But it was more of a movie I would watch on my HD TV at home than a theater. I'll probably buy the Blue-Ray when it comes out.
I think this movie was more real to life. I can't speak for any accuracy regarding the kings at this period, but this movie had a slight variation.
Overall, it is a little like Batman begins mixed with the Gladiator.
This movie met my expectations, but the IMAX 3D exceeded. 3D has come a long way from the red and green lenses. I wasn't sure if I should see the Real d 3D or IMAX 3D. I've still never seen a Real d 3D, but I'd certainly go back to see another IMAX 3D.
The quality of the movie was right on and I enjoyed the movie.
My wife is not happy that I took her to this uneventful movie. There were a lot of inuendos that she didn't get, but that was probably because they weren't funny. I rent a lot of movies and this would be worth renting, but that's it. Nothing worth the big screen.
I didn't think enough zombies got killed in Woody ambushes. The hut zombie Massacre was what we needed more of, or the banjo zombie magnet. BM was a nice touch.
With all that said, I'll buy it because I want to see it again, and again.
This movie, although enjoyable, begged for a sequel. I'll bet the sequel will be better. The acting was good, decent special effects and good action. The logic of the movie had some flaws, or seemed to have holes that I would hope get answered in the sequel.
This movie had real French, German and Americans... I thought Brad Pitt was at the top of his game. I loved his Hillbilly accent. All the acting was great.
I thought IB was a little toned down from most other QT movies. Not necessarily better or worse, just a little different. It had a touch of Guy Richie in it. Definitely going to buy this on BR.
Every movie/story has a set of rules. Harry Potter has normal life plus magic. This movie is normal life, but a little in the future. This is where the movie failed. There were too many instances where the rules went beyond being bent. The action, special effects and actors were great, but not in the league of Star Wars or even Transformers. I'll buy the BlueRay when it comes out. This movie is a nice Theater movie.
I went into the movie with low expectations, but I really liked it. There was a lot of attention to detail and content. Some stuff was really off the wall. I wish I did some of those things hehe. The after the credits thing should have gone on longer. I liked the actors.
The movie was more like Wild Hogs than Clerks or Dude, where's my Car.
I saw this movie at an IMAX. No glasses required... The large screen and sound really came out well. I enjoyed Batman Returns a little more, but this is a different type of movie. The Dark Knight contains much more drama and is a deeper sort that puts it above about any other movie out there. The gadgets and action were great. Batman was still tuff, but the Joker seemed to be practically immortal. You never saw anyone limping much the next day. The parts that I thought were a bit far fetched were the magical ways that the Joker was here or there instantly, or planted bombs instantly. Then there was the feelings the movie left in you. Altruistic, yes, but disturbing, dark and alone. I'll buy the DVD, but wouldn't see it twice at the theater.
