I really enjoyed this movie. It was nice to be able to relate it so closely to the book. Sure, there were a few parts that weren't exact, but for the most part, it was pretty similar. I really enjoyed this movie and not only will I see it again in theaters..I will be sure to purchase it when it comes out on DVD.

Well...there were definitely some parts that were laughable...the intense gazing on the part of Rob Pattinson was pretty ridiculous at times. The twitchy look off in the distance and stutter thing of Kristen Stewart was also overdone. However, since this film was primarily aimed at 14-year old girls...it did its job. I have to admit, when Rob Pattinson first appeared on screen, I "Whooooo"'d along with the rest of them (and I'm 27).
I don't think it lived up to the hype, but I've read the books.
The soundtrack was phenomenal. Rob Pattinson can REALLY sing and is featured on two tracks. There are also Paramore, Muse, Linkin Park, Collective Soul and more.
So....movie = good, book = great, soundtrack = amazing.

I loved the series-for the most part. However, the only thing that really carried over from the books to the screen was amount of squishy green stuff that covered everything in Forks. Robert Pattinson did a good enough job, as did Carlisle and Charlie, but overall the acting was just alright and I really didn't get the chemistry that everyone was going on about between Bella and Edward. Very disappointed, I wish I could get my money back. If you want to see this movie, you should wait until it comes out on video.

Going in not familiar with the Twilight book series, I didn't exactly know what to expect. Although, since I had heard it was a vampire premise story I did prejudge it as just another vampire movie. To my surprise, this movie is not that at all. While it was somewhat reminiscent of Interview With A Vampire, this one has a unique modern and young flare to it. The fashion and style given to the vampire family was right on and the characters relationships all blended well with each other along with the story. Good movie, looking forward to the upcoming sequels.

Well written, witty dialogue. A bit dark, but the contrast between darkness and light works. The two sides of good and evil are ever present in this movie. I felt empathy for many of the characters in this film. The concept of what has historically been considered an evil being, wanting to not be evil and through self discipline control the evil within was refreshing. For me, it was a paradigm of man, who can be evil, and the struggle to do what is right in an age where anything goes. I enjoyed this movie with my 17 yr old daughter. I liked the fact that there was no bad language, drinking, drugs, nudity and the like.

Being over 50 I thought this was going to be a freaky, juvenile movie. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed it. He's an action-packed movie watcher and was never bored during the entire movie! I didn't read the book....b/c I just don't read!....and have been told that it's not as good as the book.....it's DEFINITELY a must see instead of waiting for it to come out on DVD! It's positively the best movie out in theatres at this time!!

My friends and I looked forward to this movie as we had with Sex and the City. With the same result--the movie fell short of the original. The book was so excellent in developing the relationship between Bella and Edward and the characters themselves, but the movie fell short on both accounts. I still liked it because I love movies, and I think casting was good for the most part--but I'm not sure that a discerning adult who never read the books would see it the same way. It might just seem like a cheesy movie with not-so-great special effects. I am excited to see the rest of the movies--hopefully they will have a bigger budget to work with and they'll hit their stride.

I liked the movie Twilight but I was disappointed as well. For the budget they had, I think the producers/director did as well as they could. Now that they've given the go-ahead for New Moon, I'm hoping they will put more funds behind the making of the movie.
But here are the problems I have with the movie: I think the special effects were the quality of a TV movie. I think there it was a bit choppy at the beginning and 5-10 more minutes spent developing the relationship between Bella and Edward would have seriously helped. I thought Edward was too tortured.
So over all, I liked it and would see it again (I have seen it twice now) but was also disappointed and hope that they take more time with the next installment.

i loved the books, so i was skeptical about the translation to the screen. i'd seen the stills of the characters and was trying to reserve judgement on the choices until i saw the film. the beginning of the movie was a little difficult to get into because of the high schoolishness of it, but it quickly won me over. robert pattinson was an inspired choice for edward, and cam gigandet was perfectly evil as james. the cinematography was dizzying and dazzling. some of the dialogue and characterizations could have been better, but overall it was a good translation of book to film. i am not sure if people who had not read the books would enjoy it as much.

Twilight was almost as amazing as the book!!!! I'm so happy they made twilight into a movie because there
were so many things i couldn't picture in my head. Although they left
out alot of details, and it was a very low-budget movie, I thought it
was great. I can't wait for New Moon to come out, and Eclipse too, Rob

From my experience, the movie in it's entirety was excellent. Sure, the special effects weren't top-notch, but then again they didn't have much of a budget. The cast was excellently selected, getting VERY close to the appearance and personality of each character.Don't bother comparing the movie to the book. The movie left out some parts, and added others. They added more humor to the movie, and let some of the romantic parts go. In return, they made the remaining romantic scenes more steamy than the book describes them.

Twilight was a wonderful movie! Bella's lullaby was beautiful and Forks is gorgeous! If you are planning on seeing the movie, I would definitely recommend reading the book first. The only thing that was a little disappointing was that the movie did not follow the book as much as i would have like. It was also a little too fast but overall, a great movie!

The movie was excellent although i was kind of disappointed that it left out a lot of key elements in Bella and Edward's relationship. I was also not very impressed with Jasper in the movie. I laughed everytime I saw him because it looked like he was having a very uncomfortable bowel movement. I do think everyone should see this movie and definately read the series if you get a chance.

Those of us who have high expectations of books- turned- movies should not be dissapointed. Although it did not follow the books 100%, it still did a great job at preserving the essence of it. There were some additions to the movie that were not in the book ("Hold on spider-monkey") that seemed a bit out of place, and some that really enhanced it a bit (Interaction between Charlie and Billy). I would see it again and I am sure it will be in my DVD collection when it comes out. I am looking forward to New Moon coming out. The special effects were decent, some seem a little "cheesey" but if you read the book, they were true to the text, he really does sparkle...All in all Edward and Bella were well played.

I was disappointed with this movie. I loved the book and was really looking forward to the movie. I thought the conversations with Bella and Edward using the face close-ups was way over done. The book did such a wonderful job of conveying Edward and Bella's feelings for each other that just did not materialize in the movie. I I also felt the special effects were lacking. I am hoping the sequel(s) will be better.

I'm a lover of this book series so I was soo excited to hear that a movie was being made.I decided that as much as I loved the books I wasn't going into the movie thinking its going to be the best ever.But it really was!!I really did love it.It felt a little rushed,and Bella and Edward kind of fell in love quickly so if you hadn't read the books you might be a little lost.The only other thing I had a problem with was Bella had one facial expression through out the whole movie.It never really changed,it was kind of a blank face.But I thought her and Edward connected well.If your a fan your going to like it.If you've never read the books,you might be a little lost.

I am a Twilight fanatic. I've read the book over 7 times, so obviously I found some slightly aggravating differences in the movie than the book. Overall it was really good, though. There were some differences as to when and where things occurred. That kind of bugged me, but I still loved it. It was sooooooo exciting. I really hope they make movies of New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. I'd recommend it to anybody that liked (or LOOOOOOOOOVED) the book! There was no Lauren, which was kind of annoying, though. Still, you should definitely see it.

Twilight was everything I hoped it would be. I am a big fan of the book series, and am equally a fan of the movie. The actors, especially Rob, Kristen, Ashley, and Mike made their respective characters come alive on the screen. The chemistry between Rob and Kristen was amazing. The movie was amazing true to the book. I really feel that by reading the book you can better understand some of the inuendos and comedy to the movie. The cinematography was excellant it really revealed the the depth in the characters that is found by reading the book. I can't wait for the next movie hope it happens sooner than later. For all those who saw the movie and have doubts or didn't like the ending, you have to read all the books to understand. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS MOVIE TO EVERYONE!!!

I absolutely loved this movie! For the most part, it stayed true to the book. Since I was the only 1 in 4 who had read the book, I needed to clarify a few things to the others in my party, but they enjoyed the movie alot. I can't wait to see the other books made into movies. I will defineately buy this when it comes out on DVD and watch it over and over. And the soundtrack is incredible. I loved seeing how each song worked with the scene in the movie. I would recommend reading the book before you go. I can't remember if I breathed once through the movie...I was entranced!

Although some details were left out or changed the movie was fantastic. It kept with the storyline of the book and added a little humor that made the whole theater laugh out loud. You just couldn't help it!! Even my 11 yr. old daughter and her friends who haven't read the series enjoyed it so much they all want to read the books. We are so ready for the sequel!!!

So everyone knows that no movie is ever as good as the book, but, Twilight came pretty close. There are, as always, exceptions. I don't want to spoil the movie(or book) for anyone, but this is definetly a movie worth seeing, especially when you have already read the book. The chemistry between Robert Pattinson(Edward) and Kristen Stewart(Bella) is unquestionable. You find yourself smiling at their romantic scenes. I highly enjoyed this movie and hope that Summit goes forward with the other three. The whole series is too good to not make them into movies.
