I do agree the movie was thin. I did expect it tobe longer. Howeve, the Bella and Edward characters were true to the movie. I also liked the Alice character. They included all the important events so those were not left out and the special effects made the movie. I does help if you read the book but if you haven't that's okay too. I didn't compare the book to the movie and it helped because then I wasn't disappointed.

I have read all the way up to the third book and about to start the fourth one. Twilight is a verry good book. if you have not read the book you should not see the movie. althought there is some thing diffrent form the book, the movie is verry good. i was one of the many high school students who went to the mindight showing on Nov. 21, 2008 and had school that morning. i will truley say the movie was well wroth seeing.

this movie is great if you haven't read the book because everything is rushed and some people in the movie acted werid like edward and jasper. Some scenes were horrible like the one were edward had to suck out the venom in bellas wrist was the worst scene ever, also the guy who played edward was to inexperienced for this kind of role in this movie!
still the movie was ok the actor looked the part in some way.

This movie was the best. It went along with the book to a point. Their was some things that I wish they put in but all and all I loved it. I would recommend this movie to anyone. It is a movie that I would go see again and again.

I don't know if people who haven't read the book or series will like this movie. I thought it did the book justice and I'm anxious to see how the next three movies play out, but it didn't AMAZE me.

The movie kind of reminded me of a low budget movie. A lot was left out from the book. The was no mystical, magical love story, Bella looked unhappy throughout the movie. The characters were far too serious, no charismatic personalities like in the book. The movie kept my interest because I read the series; but anyone who didn't read the book, would probably not understand what all the hype was about.

This movie reminded me why I liked the book in the first place. The later books have a lot of problems, but this one is actually a fairly cute love story between a girl and a vampire, if you can get past the whole creepy-stalker vibe with him watching her while she sleeps and such. It was well-cast and had genuinely funny moments (as well as unintentionally funny moments). I'd see it again.

The books were very good I loved reading them. I was so excited to see that a movie was coming out about the books. I went and saw the movie and thought that it followed the book in most parts and really enjoyed it. Really the only thing that I did not like was that if you had not read the book before you might have got lost at some parts of the movie. But I still thought that it was an excellent movie.

Overall, I was pleased with the end result. I thought the chemistry between Edward and Bella was on target and I especially loved "the dads," Charlie Swan and Billy Black...they offered great comic relief. The baseball scene was excellent, too (my favorite scenes, actually.) Of course, it wasn't as good as the book (but then again what book-turn-movie ever is?) but it tied as many elements of the literature as possible into two hours and fifteen minutes of screen time. I'll buy the Twilight DVD and have my ticket for New Moon.

BEST MOVIE OUT THERE! The plot moves along swiftly but gives enough time for everything to develop and for you to fall in love with every single moment of the film! Robert Pattinson is the most amazing Edward I could have ever imagined and Kristen Stewart as Bella is the perfect fit! Go see it - you will not be disappointed. The only reviews out there are good and the ones that are on the fence are from 50 year old reviewers who have not read the books and could care less what they are watching if it doesn't have Brangelina in it so don't believe everything you read - except this - IT'S AMAZING!!!!

It was really exciting to see this in movies, and they stayed true to the book quite well. My only problems were that they dramatic, tension filled parts made me want to laugh, and that the acting by Bella wasn't quite there, but definitely, a must-see.

I loved how they stuck to the book. I expected that some good parts would be taken out because it was movie, and they have certain qualifications to meet. I loved all of the characters except for Bella. I imagined her very differently. Bella to me is a clumsy dorky yet pretty girl. She has light brown hair with NATURAL brown eyes. She was good but not great. Otherwise I loved the movie and thought that they did a great job converting the novel into a 2 hour movie. YAY!

Are you KIDDING me? This movie was dissapointing at best. I went with 5 - fourteen year old girls who have all read and LOVE the Stephanie Meyers books. Not one of them cared for this film either. The acting was poor and the editing was ridiculously amatuer. The casting was less than desireable to fit the roles portrayed in the books. Overall, it was an embarassment to the book. Summit should refund my money - WITH INTEREST!!!

If you read twilight, and the whole series, you HAVE to see this movie. It is the exact run-down of events that are in the first book. Now of course, we all know, the book is always better, and it was but the movie was still really good. I recommend it to all twilight fans and others who are looking for a good Vampire Romance!

Everyone lied- if you read the book, this was horrible. They skipped the informative bits so it was like they meet then they're in love. They never spoke to each other for us to hear so you didn't see them falling in love. You didn't KNOW they were a couple until someone says so and they don't deny it. All the major characters seemed insignificant in this movie cause all they focused on was Bella & Edwards relationship. And why were Bella's eyes black when Edawards the vampire? and more than once he had natural coloring, making her look paler. And since when does widening your eyes MAKE you a vampire? Cause that's ALL they did (especially Jasper). went to see it thinking it'd be bad and wanting to be proved wrong. psyche.

It was a great over view of the book! Yes they did leave alot of stuff out but it was more that they left out things that happened as a narrative and would have been boring in the movie. All and all VERY good movie. I was upset by some of these girls in the movie theater who kept screaming and laughing alot. Otherwise loved it!

This was my second time seeing this movie - and it was even better the second time around. I plan on seeing it again over the Thanksgiving holiday. The movie is visually beautiful, well acted and exciting. I was especially impressed with the acting of Robert Pattinson. He plays the tortured Edward Cullen to perfection - and the fact that he can play the piano makes him all the more perfect. Go see it!

I loved Twilight. I bet you have heard this before but the casting was good, the scenery was excellent and although they didn't follow the book perfectly (who does) what parts they left out didn't leave an empty spot in the story. It ran smoothly and i was sad when it was over. I can't wait for the next one.

Twilight was amazing. I did have problems with people and their cellphones, so i missed a few important scenes from the movie. I liked the movie because it was different from anything i've ever seen before. The setting was perfect, the actors did an awesome job. the only thing i thought was weird, was when edward was runing up the tree, those special affect were a tad bit cheesy, but over all i loved the movie. i know everyone is going to say that the movie left out a lot of things from the book, and thats alright. Ms. Hardwicke did and amazing job, as well as the cast and crew. if twilight was great, it makes me wonder what new moon and eclipse are gonna be like!! :) OH and i love PARAMORE!!!!

I have read twilight at least 3 times. I actually went to the movie with the feeling that it would never live up to my expectations. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. I was impressed how much the writers and directors were able to pack into a two hour movie. There were even some funny parts that I was not expecting. A definite must see for twilight fans.

I enjoyed the movie and thought it was a good start to the series for providing a movie adaptation. There were many places that were only funny to those who had read the book, the humor and acting was good. My husband came along and had not read the book, but still laughed at parts and said he had no trouble following the story line. I was unsure of some of the casting for the parts, but I think they all lived up to initial expectations. I can't wait for the following books to be put on screen. I hope some of the movie magic and intensity improves though on the production side.

If you've read the book, I think you'll be pre-disposed to liking the movie. Admit it. You want to like the movie. Movie versions of books always seem to gloss over the details. Twilight is no different. There's an adaptation or two, but nothing that will bother a reader too much. Casting choices were mostly good. Alice and Jacob were perfect. Bella was damn good, but the actress added a studdering sort of awkwardness that I didn't get from the books. Edward was okay. Jasper was too small and girly.
I fear that if you haven't read the books, you might not get as much out of the movie. But it's hard a reader to see the movie from non-readers' eyes.

This movie was a very good adaption from the book. There are a couple actor choices I didn't agree with (Jasper and Esme for example) but overall the characters matched what I was envisioning when reading the book.

If you go with the expectation that movies are never better than books, than you will love Twilight. I went with my teenage daughter who also felt it was great. The senery was absolutely perfect and the chemestry Edward and Bella had was everything you would expect from reading the books. The ending was a PERFECT opening to the next movie. THIS IS A MUST SEE.

It was a pretty great movie! if you read the book you really got it and different have to wonder what character was which. what i imagined while i was reading the book really lived up to what they made it look like in the movie. expecially Carlisles house but i kinda thought they made Edward too serious than what he seemed like in the book. The movie was a lot of staring and love scenes in the book but overall the movie was amazing. i cannot wait for the 3 other sequels!
