I enjoyed the movie and thought it was a good start to the series for providing a movie adaptation. There were many places that were only funny to those who had read the book, the humor and acting was good. My husband came along and had not read the book, but still laughed at parts and said he had no trouble following the story line. I was unsure of some of the casting for the parts, but I think they all lived up to initial expectations. I can't wait for the following books to be put on screen. I hope some of the movie magic and intensity improves though on the production side.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
