I was so disappointed in this movie! I've seen both of the main characters in other roles, so I know they can act, but you would have no idea from the horrible overacting throughout. The director should be fired!!! There were actually parts of the movie that were supposed to be serious where a majority of the theater was laughing!
In addition to that, the adaptation from book to movie couldn't have been worse. The development of the relationships between the characters and the unfolding of the plot was horribly paced and totally forced.
That said, I hope for the sake of all twilight fans that they learn from their mistakes and don't let us down for the rest of the series.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

A little disapointing, overall an okay movie. Having read the book, I understand there are liberties to be taken when making a movie, however the bug eyes Edward displayed and his questionable acting were dissapointing. Some scenes felt forced in an effort to get to the next plot element and some characters were well portrayed while others were not. It will be intersting to see how thing will proceed with subsequent movies.

What a great movie! Although I did have a hard time with some of the character choice because I pictured them differently while reading the books, I thought the movie was adapted well to the books. For anyone who is a twilight fan, this was a great movie. I can't wait to see it again.

This movie was AMAZING! I really saw the connection between Rob and Kirsten... And they just did a fantastic job portraying all the characters and how they were in the books.
It definitely is a PG-13 movie, but it was... I am speechless.
I love all the books, and even though the movie isn't exactly like the book, it is still wonderful!
I CAN'T WAIT FOR NEW MOON!!!
And I would definitely suggest the movie to everybody over the age of 10, and it is also a movie that you could see more than once... *wink wink

I really enjoyed and loved the movie and i am looking forward for the next one. Even my three cousins, two of them were guys who have never read the books, liked the movie and want to see it again. The cast was perfect... I TRULY LOVED THE MOVIE!!! I recommend seeing it!!

This review is for those who did not read the books, and is free from worrying about the adaptation. I took my teenage friend's daughter who is a fan of the series to see this. I watched the movie with an open mind and actually found it somewhat interesting. The movie is flawed with more than a little melodrama and some bad dialogue, mostly at the beginning. But if you can let that slide, as well as a somewhat cheesy and unsophisticatedly presented romance, some entertainment can be taken from this movie.
To summarize, I say go if you may, but leave most of your judgment at the door, and you'll be mildly amused.

Twilight the movie stayed true enough to the intent of the book to please this twilight fan.
Kristen and Robert were wonderful as Bella and Edward. I loved the cameo of Stephenie Meyer at the dinner.
After seeing Twilight I can't wait for the other books to be made into moives.

well, it could have definatly been way longer.
but over all it was a really great movie.
there was a lot of scenes and sayings they didn't include. Like the "do you know you dazel people a lot" i was really hoping to see that, and it was misplaced a lot. If you haven't read the book, i'd advise you to read it first. but if you choose the movie first, go buy the book afterwards. It was still an amazing movie, the vampires were pretty hot. if you ask me personally, i'm going to see the movie a couple of more times : ). New-Moon is COMING OUT! : ) so if you thought of it having a sequal your wish is coming truee.!
i love twilight.

Twilight books are amazing so I was excited about seeing the movie. I knew that it won't be the same as the book, but I was amazed how they were able to find just the right actors for all the characters. I was disappointed a little when Jacob didn't dance with Jacob at the Prom and not seeing the movie scene in science class. I also thought that it was a little too easy for Bella to get away from Jasper and Alice, but those are just some little things. All in all, I think the movie was wonderful that I saw it twice. I can't wait for the next one.

I thought that the movie was incredible for the budget that they had to work with. The cast was wonderful, especially Bella's father, Charlie, & the humor was an unexpected delight. Robert Pattinson does indeed dazzle and the kiss scene needs to win an award of some type for being one of the hottest kisses ever. The music was perfect, especially for the baseball scene. I've seen the film three times now & can't wait to go see it again! There were things omitted that I would have enjoyed seeing, but they probably couldn't make a 4 hour movie!! The time flew by & I couldn't believe it was already at the end when it arrived. I absolutely recommend it.

If you have not read this book im sure this movie would be amazing, as many of my friends who have not read the book said. But to me, a person who had read the book, they trashed the book and completely ruined it for me. Edward and all of the other vampires JUST LOOKED WRONG! I think the actor that played bella was a good choice though. I all depends really on if you have read the book and if you feel the character fit what you had imagined while reading the book. If you have seen the movie and not read the book please read it .... you will be amazed at how much better it is.

Twilight was a great adaptation from the book. The special effects are not as good as with some other movies (such as Harry Potter) but lets face it the movie budget wasn't huge either. I thought the movie was a little awkward in the beginning when it was jumping from scene to scene. However, the movie did get better. The acting wasn't spectacular, but it was interesting to see Stephanie Meyer's characters come to life. Anyone expecting Oscar-winning performances will be sorely disappointed. Just remember the movie for what it is - an on-screen adaptation of a teen romance novel - and you will be entertained.

I went into this movie with several expectations, and I was surprised that, after all that hype, it didn't meet any of them. The progression of the plot was choppy, the dialogue was garbled and didn't make sense, and the best actors in it all played supporting characters. Pattinson and Stewart, both acceptable on their own, had no chemistry together; they were totally stiff. Overall, it looked rushed and low-budget, and it could have been much better.

I loved the movie! It was better than I expected and I am so happy that I was not in the slightest bit disappointed. Robert Pattinson was the best choice for Edward! He played the part perfectly. From the crooked smile to the intense eyes. He was beautiful. Kristen Stewart did a great job as Bella. She was very believable. Watching the movie was like I was reading the book. The movie followed the book with some minor changes and I was extremely happy with that. My favorite quote was even in the movie. "And so the lion fell in love with the lamb", "What a stupid lamb", "What a sick, masochistic lion"! All in all the movie was amazing and I loved every minute of it. I cannot wait for it to come out on DVD!

I was worried I'd be greatly disappointed as a lover of the novels, but to my surprise, the characters were done almost perfectly! If you didn't read the book, I could see how you might not "get it" all, but then again, if you read the book, you might not being paying as much attention to the movie. All in all, it was entertaining: Action, comedy, and of course, the start of the love story. Hopefully the sequels will just get better and better!

I thought the movie was great! I am a huge fan of the whole book series, and Stephenie Meyer's writing in general, but I really thought they did a great job on the movie. The actors were great, I can't wait until they do all of the books, so we see on film the characters that we have seen in our heads while reading! I do however warn the older fans, I'm 28 and yes thats older, that the screaming crazed teenybop fans will annoy the heck out of you during the movie...so be prepared! If you want to see the movie in a some what mature audience, you need to go to a late show, it should be past the little-ones curfew!!! This is good for all ages, its a 2 thumbs up and more! Read the book first, then go see the movie!!

The movie was very fun to watch. I had fun laughing and even crying durning the whole movie. I would have loved to see more of Alice and the other characters, but I know that it was mostly about Bella and Edward (I've read the book more then once). I would recommen the movie to everyone that I know and I plan to see it again with my family.

I haven't read the twilight books, but after watching this movie I went to the book store and bought all 4! I'm already on the second book! I love edward and jacob both so i guess I'm a divided team member lol! But to all the ones that haven't seen this movie GO SEE IT! even if you haven't read the books it is still pretty easy to keep up with and from what I've read it followed the book very well and only left off some of the parts...very well made! Can't wait to buy it on DVD!

It was an overall good movie though they mixed scenes together and left our a lot of minor details. The only thing i didn't like was that they left out the meadow scene and instead mixed up the lines into other scenes.

As a crazed fan of the books, I went to the midnight showing & was very surprised with all the changes, but not disappointed. I have to admit, I was nit picking & not giving the movie a chance to be entertaining. When watching it a second time, it exceeded my expectations. Rob's performance was intriguing & left me wanting more. I thought that Billy did awesome as Charlie, I loved his character more so in the movie than in the books. Kristen at first seemed annoying, but the second time around not so much, I actually liked her as Bella. Go watch the movie and give it a sporting chance to be one of it's own! Thanks to S. Meyer, C. Hardwicke, and all others for making this possible for us to enjoy watching it on the big screen!

Overall, this movie was very wonderful. I could feel the onscreen chemsitry between Kristen and Robert. But, I feel that there were far too many important scenes that were left out of the movie. For example, the meadow scene didn't have the same feeling as in the book. Also, the blood typing should have been in there because it kind of shows the irony of her wanting to be a vampire. Another important scene left out was the scene with Edward telling about Carlisle's friends in the picture known as the Volturi. That would have helped introduce the Volturi for New Moon. Other than these problems, the movie was very great. I really want to go see it again :]

First of all the movie was totally AWESOME! I am so going to see it again, well more like I'm going to see it like 50 million more times. While I LOVE the movie and the acting/actors (Rob was so sexy and sweet and vulnerable ^_^) i feel that they left out way too much. The fight scenes and the running was amazing. I so definately recomend, no demand that everyone go see it and read the series!If you like the move, well even if you don't (which will be impossible) you will love the series even more! I can't wait till the sequels come out! Which they will for Summit has already started working on doing New Moon!!!!! Can't wait! ^_^
