I was worried I'd be greatly disappointed as a lover of the novels, but to my surprise, the characters were done almost perfectly! If you didn't read the book, I could see how you might not "get it" all, but then again, if you read the book, you might not being paying as much attention to the movie. All in all, it was entertaining: Action, comedy, and of course, the start of the love story. Hopefully the sequels will just get better and better!
