I must say this movie was incredible! The casting was done almost to perfection! I like that they added some scenes with james and victoria and laurent for the people who did not read the book. This gave them an opportunity to understand the movie without having to read the book. Oh, and Edward in the sun, AMAZING! fabulous job.

I read all 4 books and can not wait for the next book to be a movie. I am 51 years old and I read the first book because my 16 year old daughter read it in 3 days. I was curious to see what got her to read at all! Loved it, and the movie was not a disapointment , I will go see it agian. My daughter Loved it too. Stephenie Meyer really captavaited me, I could not put the books down.

I have recently been a huge fan of Twilight and New Moon..holding off on the last two books because I read them in a day. I read Twilight because I saw the trailer for the movie and knew the book would be awesome. I can say I like the movie if I don't compare it to the book.

Although not the "best movie ever" if you loved the books, of course you will want to visualize what you read. The adaptation was well done from Bella's room, science class, to the prom, you feel like it mostly came to life. The only minor disappointment was the casting of Jacob and Esme. I would love to see Edward brooding in 3 more films.

Having so much hype built around this movie, it was hard not to be disappointed in some areas. I gave this movie an average grade since the movie was low-budget, and it IS hard to squeeze book details into a 2 hr movie. Bella and Edward seemed to fall in love too quickly in the movie. It DOES leave the audience wanting more. Even though it was only "OK" for me, I will see New Moon. I am hoping that with the monetary success of Twilight, they will look at it as a "rough draft" and learn from it, so they can make New Moon and all the others much better!

I was first thinking that there were far better actors to play Edward Cullen. I must admit I was wrong. I went with six people from work (two were guys) and I must say that the part was made only for him. We enjoyed the movie very much and now there is one more guy to take that is my husband. I am hoping that the other three books become movies and they are just as good as the first!

The book was great and the movie was also. I really enjoyed seeing the characters come to life. A few changes were made from the book, but I think they were done to make the movie work. I would love to see the movie over and over and can't wait for it to come out on DVD.

Usually with books that are made into movies there are details that will be glossed over or left out. There were a few major details that were left out like Carlisle explaining the Cullen's history and Bella's relationships with her Forks friends who were not vampires. As for the actors, I think that Robert Pattinson and Kellan Lutz did an amazing job as Edward and Emmet portrayed the characters wonderfully. Kristen Stewart's adaption of Bella Swan was not as Bella in the book as Kristen stumbled and stuttered her way through dialogue and at most times lacking emotions on her face as she spent the majority of the movie with a blank expression on her face.

I felt the film was way too rushed with the wrong actor as lead. The movie was unintentionally funny because of the awkwardness of the relationship between the main characters. It was dissapointing after all the hype and the success of the book.

I read the book several times and saw the movie twice. Sure there are some missing things in the movie compared to the book... but aren't all movies that were originally books... anyhow, the actors choosen were great! Very breathtaking.... very! I took both my teenagers to see it and my husband too. My husband liked the movie even though he hasn't read the book. He was glad to see it wasn't too lovey dovey (his words). I will see it a few more times and most definately buy it when it comes out on DVD... GO SEE IT!!! Even if you have or have not read the book.

really good! the only thing I have to say is that it moved really fast and they changed things from the book that weren't really necessary. For example Edward's couch is suppose to be black and not white, and she got most of her information about the Cullens from a book from a bookstore in port angeles whereas in the book Jacob told her. So overall, it was a great movie and i would definitely suggest it to all my friends.

This overall was a good movie. People critize the movie because it was a low budget film. Well I would like to see those people put a movie on with the expectations that Twilight, with the budget that Summit had. It stuck to the book for the most part. There are some things that they had to stray away from the book for the audience to understand without subtitles. I thought the acting was exceptional. There were certain aspects that upset me, but hopefully with more of a budget for New Moon Summit will put on an even better film

I did not expect this movie to be as good as the books. Movies rarely ever are. I also did not compare it to Harry Potter. With that said this was a terrible movie. The best part was the baseball scene. If they could have kept to that kind of directing it would have been great. They left out so many important things and added stuff that really didn't need to be in it. There was no character development no relationship development. There were 3 very long music entourages that could have been left out or cut back. There was very little actual dialog. I wasted 7 1/2 hours waiting in line for the midnight show. I even went back another night to watch it again now that I was expecting nothing from it and it was still terrible. Very low budget.

I really loved the books & I was super excited that a movie finally came out. It was amazing!!!!
But I think that if a person did not read the books, they would be kinda lost in some parts. But I am seeing it again... it was that good.

by far the worst movie i have seen this year. after reading the entire series i cannot help to think that everything that was bad about the first book was highlighted in this movie. the movie had a chance to really bring this series into the fold of main stream society like the harry potter series did, but unforntunately this movie was made for 10 year olds, i am interested to see what they will do when they have to make the final book into the movie which deals with sex, abortion, and the death of bella when they have made a movie that only apeals to a base that is made up of young kids or maybe adults with the intelligence level of a young kid.

I loved this movie. It might be only my opion but my best friend liked it too! There was only one part that i thought was sooo animated in which was his skin in the sunlight!! It looked soo fake but my favorite part was every other part!! Jake is my hero and i loved the actor who played him! He acts so well! Edward is my second fav. because he is soo hot!! Anyway I've heard alot of people say they don't like twilight on these things but i say go see it because your opion is your own not someone elses!! So go see it and tell the world what you thought!!

The movie was good overall, but there were times when I felt like it was dragging a little bit. There was one spot where Bella says "I've considered radioactive spiders" that just sounds so awkward. That line could have been written and delivered so much better than that. I say spend more money on the next movie to make it look better. Better makeup on the vampires, better special effects. I enjoyed the movie and am hoping the next one in the series will be an improvement.

This was an amazing movie. As everyone expects though, reading the book first gives you an expectation of an amazing movie. Although the movie did not follow everything in the book, it still was excellent.
Definitely my favorite movie this year.

I have read all four books and I am so pleased with this movie. It may have not been exactly what I pictured in my head when I read the books, but it is darn close! I absolutely loved this movie and I havn't heard anyone else disagree! Amazing! Can't wait for New Moon.

I have yet to find a movie that meets my expectations from the book - this one was better than most. It was a little sappy in spots, but more funny than I expected. It did leave out some of the stuff I would have liked to have seen to "flesh out" some of the characters more - but they are working with a time line - can't have a 5 hour movie. My 10 year old daughter loved it enough to pick up the book - that is good.

Twilight really was the best movie i have ever seen!! As a huge fan of Twilight I was sooooo excited and happy that the movie stayed true to the book!! Yes a few things were changed but the movie isnt going to be completely like the book!! All in all Twilight was exactly what I hoped and dreamed about!! The entire cast played their characters perfectly!! Especially Rob, he WAS Edward Cullen!!! I couldnt stop screaming and smiling when I saw the movie at midnight!! I want to thank Stephenie Meyer for the Twilight Saga and Catherine Hardwicke for directing Twilight!!! And lastly I want to thank the entire cast because they made our Twilight characters come to life!! I cant wait to see Twilight many many more times!! Go Twilight!!!!

Ok, I am a HUGE fan of this series. So going into the movie, I already knew it wouldn't/couldn't be as good. That said, I think they did a pretty good job. The first time I saw it, I admit I was just a little disappointed. There is just not enough time to build their relationship properly. However, after going back and seeing it again... I love it! I think I spent so much time comparing it to the book the 1st time, that I forgot to sit back and relax. If you saw it once and felt the same as I did, go see it again! Now I can't wait for the DVD!

Although, the movie didn't go along with the book as much as I'd hoped it would, it's still definitely worth seeing.
The effects were not completely great (because the low budget they were given to work with), but the actors/actresses more than made up for it. Kristen Stuart more than fit the part of Bella Swan and I couldn't find a better Edward Cullen than Rob Pattinson. I would go on about the rest of the cast, but I won't. All I'll say is, I think they did a fantastic job given the fact that the budget was so incredibly low.
All we have to hope for is that with the success of this movie, the next one will be given a much larger sum of money to work with!!
