It was a great movie.but they screwed up many scenes I think. It was too altered from the book like Jacobs dance with Bella while they talked at prom. Alice wasn't really Alice I expected more involvement btw. her and Bella.

Loved the actors for Bella and Edward, and I look forward the seeing the next movie(s) in the series. If you have read the book(s), you will be pleasantly surprised by how close to the book the movie is. The special effects could have been a little better, but other than that, I loved it!

I read the book, and watched it w/out expectations. The action parts from the book were presented well, but there was too much missing. It didnt flow well. I dont think the passion and eternal commitment were there that everybody loved in the book. Kristen Stewart seemed too confident- where Bella isn't, and Rob Pattinson seemed very awkward and unsure at the beginning. Although, i'll give it to him. He got better as the movie carried on. I loved alot of things about it, but still felt saddened by the lack of anticipation and excitement you get from the book. My overall idea is bad screenplay. The script was off. I'd be willing to watch again to try and be more open minded. I'll see the next one, but not on opening night.

The make-up and special effects were laugh at loud cheezy-- for example, the entire (packed) theater erupted in laughter when Carlisle came on screen, and when the "diamonds" on Edward's skin were shown. The casting of Jacob was really bad. We were annoyed at the deviations from the book that did nothing to forward the movie. (Why does Bella not hear about vampires and werewolves from Jacob? She gets it from a book?) The girls agreed that if they hadn't read the book, much of it wouldn't have made any sense. Our favorite actors were Charlie and Billy. Bella needs more range as an actress-- her pained expressions got old. We were disappointed, but if you've got a tween in your house who has read the books, you had better plan on going.

I thought the movie was good. I would want to see it again.
However, if you are someone like me who has read the book before seeing the movie, I have to admit i was mildly disappointed. So many scenes and conversations were not in the movie and the movie seemed a bit choppy, moving quickly from scene to scene, a little out of order and some things were a lot different than the book. Also, there were a couple of scenes that were a bit cheesy, like trying too hard to be dramatic.
BUT...I still enjoyed it, getting to see characters come to life and I think I would've liked it if I hadn't have read the book.
I would recommend it and I liked it. I can't wait to see the next movies based on the series!

This movie was great in the fact that it was the book on screen. There are many lines taken directly from the book and quite a few moments thrown in that only fans of the book will catch and love. *SPOILER: An appearance by Stephanie Meyer and an apple shot that is a play off of the cover of the book for Twilight* Considering the budget and time constraints for the movie, it was done very well. Were there things that could have been better? Of course. Did it play out the intense relationship of Edward and Bella in a moving way? Absolutely. The actors were dead on in their portrayal of the characters' personalities. Most fans should walk away smiling.

This movie is a huge disappointment. I understand that it had a small budget, but there is no explanation for very poor directing, bad acting (Kristen Steward was terrible as Bella and Robert Pattison's facial expressions were comical instead of scary), and I will say nothing about special effects. All that leaves you emotionally unattached. But I really liked Peter Facinelli as Carlisle and Cam Gigandet as James. And to be clear I love Twilight book series, and I was very excited to see Robert as Edward, but somehow he was not able to show what he supposed to. Hope that will change in the next movie - "New Moon".

This movie was very interesting. I truly enjoyed it. After reading the the book three times, I have to admit that it was sort of a disappointment. It did not include many essential parts of the book. I personally give the movie a 10 out of 10 review, because although it wasn't exactly what I wanted, it still took my breath away. I am really looking forward to the movie New Moon!

I think the movie could have stuck with the chronological order of the book a bit more and the transitions could have been better. I felt that the other characters could have had their time to shine. We only got to see the Cullen family for a couple of scenes and not all of them talk.
There were some scenes that I thought was awesome: the baseball scene being my fave, Jasper was awesome!!!! The fight scene since the book was very vague on how James was killed. The prom scene was nice esp. Jacob in the tie and shirt ^^ and the gazebo scene where Edward looked like he was about to bite her but kissed her neck *drool*. Edward playing the piano, I know I melted right there. Edward and Bella's make out scene, muy caliente!

Yet another adult who didn't read the books, but enjoyed the movie. It's a sweet romance that keeps you entertained. The dialogue is cheesy, but meant to be light and make you laugh. It's great for teens and those a little older. I say, see it!

The beginning was okay, but very choppy between scenes. However, the entrance of the Cullens was amazing. The fight scene was also very good and kept you interested. A big problem i saw was that, for the those who did not read the book, it was very hard to follow and did not explain the actions of the characters. I think the movie should follow the book more and be better developed.

I am sorry to say I was very dissappointed in the movie. The beginning especially was confusing and I have read the books! If I had not I would have really been lost! It is now one of the most beautiful love stories to be told, yet it was hard to watch the akwardness and cheeziness of the movie. It should have focused more on the love between Bella and Edward instead of wasting time with other useless scenes that could have been ommited. Way too much was left out that was vital to the story!

I saw Twilight twice. The first time i was too busy critiquing the movie and comparing it to the book. The second time I loved the movie, I knew what to expect and really enjoyed the movie. As long as you do not compare the book to the movie I think you will like it. If you have not read the book you may be confused a bit, the movie does leave some details out.

I have read the first three Stephanie Meyer novels and am 200 pages into the last. Every person has their own perception of Twilight which is why bringing a book to life on screen is somewhat tricky. I had been anticipating this movie for quite sometime with rather high expectations. This was not what I had imagined, but I am not the teenage target audience. This love story felt hurried and more modern that I had expected. Definitely entertaining and yet left me wanting more.

Twilight was such a great book that I have to admit I was a bit disappointed in how it transitioned into film. Such a serious book about a forbidden, dangerous love, the movie was a bit hokey at times. The love story was far-fetched at best and hard to believe. The entire story seemed all over the place. I went in with an open mind - optimistic even; I'm sorry to say that I left unsatisfied. Did Catherine Hardwicke and Summit really think that this would cut it? As die hard as the Twilight fans are, we deserved better.

Outstandingly close to the book. I did not imagine it would be this satisfying after such an impossibly amazing book. The only possible complaint i would have would be that it didn't show any relationship that Alice and Bella had. Overall, I would recommend this movie to anyone. Amazing display of characters. Couldn't have asked for better characters when it came to Emmett, Victoria, and James.

The movie version of the novel "Twilight" is well done. Although it does not adhere to the book exactly, the story line and "feel" remain the same. Series fans will love the creepy foreshadowing in the final scene, and the cameo by author Stephanie Meyer. Romantic tension strings viewers along and keeps you on the edge. Casting is excellent...Kristen Stewart was born to play the clumsy Bella, while Rob Pattinson keeps human hearts fluttering as the impossibly perfect Edward.

I am a true twilight fan, and have read each of the books at least 5 times. this movie was Superb. If you have read the books, it is easy to understand and the relationship between edward and bella is so real. i of course love the books more, but with any movie made from a book, that is bound to happen. i would reccomend it to any twilight fan, and i would reccomend if you have not read it, read the book before you go, you will fall in love with the romance and action in all the twilight books!!

I thought that they did a good job, just wish they could've gotten more in. I think you should see the movie, then read the books, there was MUCH more to the relationship between Bella and Edward than this movie portrays. If we all could experience a love that deep and true, at least once in our lives, then we would have truly lived.

Movie is better for book readers. The actors did a great job bringing the characters to life. In particular, Pattinson does a fantastic job making Edward a real character. He had some big shoes to fill because the book describes Edward as utterly perfect, and no one is that perfect. He gives Edward a classic teen boy awkwardness that comes from a first crush and shows Edward’s frustration with wanting to impress Bella but recognition that he is no good for her. Welch does a super job playing Mike, the hs boy everybody remembers. Some aspects of the vampires turned out odd. For example, the makeup makes their skin look pasty and gross instead of flawless as described in the book. Likewise, Edward’s skin in the sun was just plain weird.

The book was still better, but I have to give this movie 5/5 stars.Reading the book conveyed so much more passion and more time to fall in love with each and every one of the characters individually.I had imagined every scene almost exactly how it was filmed, and although the characters moved a bit differently in my head I still found them rather true to what I had envisioned. I can't wait to go back and see this movie for a second and maybe even a third time, that is after all of the screaming and hormonal teenage girls are done seeing it and I can watch the movie without hearing them screech everytime Edward comes into view!

I honestly thought this movie had horrible cinematography. It seemed poorly put together. Mind you I have read the whole series so I talk from knowledge of the book. I mean the "action" scenes were so FAKE. god! Bella was too jittery. She was never like that in the book. She was uncoordinated true, but come on she just was out of it. I mean I gave it 2 stars because it did make me laugh a whole lot. Edward did look hilarious when he was sucking Bella's blood.
