I was very please with the movie. I've read the book series twice and was very nervous. The Harry Potter movies killed books-to-movies for me. Those were done so poorly that I was really scared for Twilight. They cut a few things I wish they hadn't and for people who'd never read the book, it seemed a little choppy. However, I loved every acter they chose. Everybody fit just right. Overall, a great movie.

I loved this movie. It went so well with the book. The skipped minor details but kept up with the major ones. The only thing I didn't like was some of the effects when you could totally tell that the character James was on wires. But other than that, it's got romance, comedy, and action. Definitely a number one movie for anyone.

I knew going in that this movie would have its cheesy moments - which it did. But as a huge fan of the books, I didn't care. The script stayed true to the books, and it was awesome being able to see the story unfold on the big screen. Pattinson and Stewart made the perfect Edward and Bella. I am so excited to hear a sequel is in the works. I'm crossing my fingers that they make all 4 movies. I will be devastated if they don't!

I read the books, but didn't get caught up in the movie's inconsistencies with the books. I thought that Robert Pattinson's passion and desire was wonderfully presented, but overall the movie was, for a lack of a better term, cheesy. The stances of the Cullens when confronted on the baseball field were laughable, same for the ballet studio when fighting James. My friend and I agreed that someone was going for the artsy movie feel, but failed. I can see why teens would like this movie, with all the beautiful faces, but there needed to be more development/explanation of the emotions between Bella and Edward as occurred in the book.

I am a HUGE fan of the series. I was super excited for the movie but it turned out to be short, confusing, and the dialogue was bad. They skipped a lot of important parts and it wasn't as true to the book as any Twilight fan would have wanted. I feel that if I had not read the book, it would be one of the worst movies i'd ever seen. But a decent Edward is better than no Edward! Overall I am most disappointed in how short and choppy the movie was. & I think all these people who are in love with the movie are just blinded by how good the book was.

I had read the first 3 Books. And I must say that they stayed pretty damn near close to the book. Yeah there were fan girls screaming "Edward!!!" but not throughout the movie. It just tells you how great the fandom is.
My wife did not read the books but after loving the movie sooo much we had to go out and buy the paperback that evening. Now she is hooked. Only if I could get her to read Harry Potter.

Absolutely Thrilling. Definately the best of '08. I think that some parts were left out that should have been included. Pattinson and Stewart have an amazing chemistry that is even visible outside of Twilight. CANNOT wait for New Moon, Eclipse, and especially Breaking Dawn!

I enjoyed the movie, although I wished they hadn't changed so many events.
The scenery was really pretty, Jacob was hot and Bella was a great actress!

Of course those who read the book expected so much more, but personally I really enjoyed the movie!! They left out a lot of the little things that really made up Edward and Bella...but of course they couldn't put all 600 pages of the book into the movie. Rob Pattinson was super hot but I think the fact that he has to control his accent interferes with his acting in some parts. Bella couldn't be played by anyone better...I love Kristen as Bella. I give this movie two thumbs up...and I kno that New Moon is going to be an even bigger hit!!
P.S. That was pretty awesome how Meyer was in the movie...LOL!!!

This movie had so much potential. But between horrible directing and casting choices, it failed to be a remotely good film. At best it was designed for only fangirls to enjoy.
I hope, since they're developing New Moon now, that they're rethink the director.
And I had such high hopes that this movie would be fantastic and capture the enduring love of Bella and Edward. It failed. Big time.

Overall this movie was awesome! I loved Jacob & Alice. I think Edward could have been a little more romantic & so-very-careful, like in the book. I think their relationship could have looked more sweet. Bella could have looked more in love w him. My favorite scene was the baseball game! It was awesome! I loved how the movie had humor. James was great. The whole movie seemed a little rushed, though. But I enjoyed it very much. It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't perfect; on a scale of 1 to 10 it was a 7/8. I enjoyed watching it & I'm only mildly disappointed. I'm def going to go see it again & again I loved it & I totally recommend it. It was an awesome movie & I rlly hope that there can be a New Moon sequel!

Twilight stays pretty true to the book and is a very enjoyable movie experience. I have seen it twice thus far and still feel as if I have not had enough. The casting, except for one or two roles, was pretty well done. I recommend you see it at least once before you judge it!

I went in as a huge fan of the books and really expected a lot out of this film. I also took my wife who had never read the books. She liked the movie and wants to see the second book made into a movie.
I thought that yes, some of the dialogue was very cheesy, but it was a great movie. I loved the actors they chose. Kristen Stewart plays the perfect Bella Swan. I don't think Robert played a perfect Edward, he wasn't drop dead perfect in the looks department like the book made him sound, but he did play a good Edward.
I liked the movie overall and it went really well along with the storyline of the book, only a few changes were made to make the movie flow better.

I accompanied my 13 year old daughters who is obsessed with the Twilight series. From the first book, she was hooked. I must tell you that she truly enjoyed the movie and smiled all the way through. She said that the movie did a very good job of following the book. I have not read the books, but did find the movie a little hokey, but entertaining and it kept me on the edge of my seat.

For those who have read the books you will notice what is missing and it puts a slight downer on the romance in the beginning. The whole getting to know each other bits had to be shortened obviously so it wasn't a 4 hour movie. But if you are a true Edward Bella fan and realize that they can't fit everything in you should walk away feeling satisfied for the most part. It's funny and almost every actor plays their character to a tee. I loved it, even with its faults.
If you haven't read the books I would suggest you do that first. It's a good movie, but completely made for the book fans.

I am a huge fan of the books and was somewhat disappointed at the adaptation. There were things that seemed disjointed If you didn't already know how intense Bella and Edward were you may miss their true characters. Some things would have been better of to have stayed true to the book. But, after having a couple of days to think about it I still believe it was a good movie. I thought Edward and Bella were very good together. Alice was great and also Emmett. Jasper was a little freaky though. Rosalie was sort of what I had pictured. I will go back to see it at the movies again and have recommended it to friends. I hope that the future movies are truer to the books even if they have to be three hours long.

If you have read the books as I have you have to understanding that movies can never live up to your own imagination. After saying that I felt this movie was great, I watched it twice this weekend. I am very excited for New Moon, hopefully with a bigger budget the special effects will improve. Loved the characters, hope New Moon will incorporate the Cullen family more!

I saw it twice with friends, and I liked more the second time. The first time I just looked for all the things that weren't like the book, and pretty much the whole movie was different. I think there were two parts that were the same...which made me kind of mad. But the second time I saw it...I liked it more. I thought it was a good, fun movie. I could still connect with the characters...and I liked their chemistry.

Okay the movie was great, but it cannot compare to the book. I mean I wasn't it expecting it to. Anyways I loved it. It kept me on the edge of my seat (literally). And I would recommend it to anyone who like romance, vampires, and a thrill!!!

I loved the books and the charm of all the characters but felt the movie failed to capture any of that. The movie felt drawn out and boring, and the awe of Bella and Edward falling in love fell completely flat. It was missing the same lusture as the books. I was highly disappointed.

I have to say that as a HUGE fan of the books I was so dissapointed in this movie. I laughed through most of the first half of the movie due to the terrible acting jobs. The 2nd half was much better. I think if given a bigger budget they may have been able to do better but it was lacking so much of what made the book awesome. They definitely needed more character development.
