Overall I LOVED Twilight! However I am a huge fan of the books and I don't think they did them justice. It could have easily been 30 minutes or even an hour longer, to include more of the high school scenes and develop relationships between characters more.

Dissapointing, bad acting facial expressions do not convey the dramatic effect that they were intended to. Go see it if you are 14 or younger otherwise go see something else.

I am a huge fan of the books, they had me completely addicted. Of course I had to see this movie at the premier! It did not disappoint. Even though several parts were changed from the book, the differences were essential to tell the story and still keep the movie from being 12 hours long! I highly reccommend this movie to everyone. Can't wait to see the next one. Stephanie Meyer, you are a genius!!

If you read the book you will understand the movie really well. For those of you who have not read Twilight...You should read it first. Every book cannot be put up on screen exactly the way it is written and I thought the movie was a great adaptation of the book.

I read the book - I loved the book. The character selection was pretty good. However, the absence of Bella's inner dialogue was very apparent in the movie - there's just something huge missing. I knew the movie wouldn't be as good as the book. I just wish they could have given me that same passion that I felt while reading the book.

At first I found myself comparing each scene/situation to the book- BAD IDEA (even though the actors are phenomenal in those roles) it just wasn't fitting my expectations. So I saw it again (of course!). Catherine really conveys the story well - also keep in mind you lose a lot of the development of Bella and Edward's relationship because the book was just SOOO detailed from Bella's thoughts & perspective (which you can't really capture with words on screen). Kristen & Rob were great - as well as the other castmembers (particularly the Cullens) - Advice: READ THE BOOK FIRST!

I think the movie was great! It followed the story line well and most characters were portrayed correctly from book to screen. Mr. Cullen, the father, was not what I expected. It disappointed me. However, Alice was a perfect match and made up for that! The magnetism between Edward and Bella can be felt by you... It was, again, a great movie and is sure to please if you read the book(s).

Excellent. The actors picked were great for their parts....can't wait for the next movie. I brought three of my grandchildren with me... their ages range from 12 to 19. They read the books too, so It's a movie for all ages to enjoy. We DID!

Well I think people that have not read the series will enjoy this movie more than those of us that did. I think when you have read it you are a little more critical. My husband thought it was good and he hadn't read all 4 books like I have. Some moments of acting were questionable...and they cut so much of the love story connection out that you don't get near as sucked in to their love story as you do in the books. Overall the movie was pleasant. But if you never read another series you must read these 4 books. They will remind you of how it feels to love that way again, far too often we forget!!

I went with my teen daughter yesterday. She forced me to read the book. She absolutely loved it but as for me I felt the book was way better than the movie. The dialogue was lame and too intense, almost laughable. The casting was good though. I recommend this movie definitely for all teenagers who loved the book. But moms should not bother going unless you loved the book as well.

I pretty good movie. After reading the book, I liked it left more to my imagination. But I did enjoy the movie. A nice love story with just a bit of action. I am glad they stayed with the romance part and didn't linger on the killing/death.

I came into the movie prepared for the worst, and was surprised that I was entertained for 2 hours. It's hard not to compare the movie to the book. I know the movie would be different. However, the following are sticking points for me, that could have been done better.
1) There was no history of the vampires from Carlisle.
2) The character development was lacking.
3) The plot was rushed - and the filming made the storyline very disjointed.
4)The soundtrack was really dorky - the guitar riffs! LOL!

I took my daughter (14yrs) and 10 of her friends to see Twilight for her birthday. They have ALL read the books, and thought it was good, but not great. They said it left out alot of the story. However, me not reading the books I was not disappointed. I thought it was a little slow throughout the movie, but entertaining. A good teen love story. I would recommened seeing it. Its worth your money.

i went into the theater with pretty low expectations, but i was so disappointed with this movie! there was just too much they had to leave out to tell the story in two hours. it just didn't feel cohesive enough to tell the story thoroughly. and the actors were horrendous! edward was supposed to be this tortured guy, torn between his love for bella and keeping her safe from himself, but robert pattinson [who played edward] just looked like he was in pain the entire time...my husband said he looked constipated...lol. the movie finally picked up around the baseball scene, but besides that, there weren't too many highlights for this movie. well, except for the harry potter trailer before the movie started! :D

The movie was pretty much what I expected. I felt it did the book justice though it did take some liberties. Some scenes were a bit campy and sappy, but overall it held my interest and made for a good romantic experience with an edge of danger. I don't think it would have been the same without the teenage girls screaming in the theater though :)

I have read and loved the Twilight books but the movie didn't even come close to what I expected. I thought there chemistry was believable between Edward and Bella but there were too many awkward scenes that seemed like something else should be happening and the action scenes were incredibly hoaky. The soundtrack needs a little something too. I will see the second one after it comes out but definitely won't bother going to the midnight showing again.

Never read the book. Have daughters who eat, and sleep anything Twilight. I now want to read the book - looks absolutely intriguing and different. I admire their relationship - restraint and using their heads over their emotions. Finally a movie which promotes responsible thinking.

I'm a fan of the books. So some parts didn't flow smoothly. And It seemed that the actors were acting for the first time. I know they are both great actors so I'm a little upset about the movie. Towards the middle end of the movie, it got much better. I liked the extra parts they added in, that were not apart of the book. I just wished maybe someone else could had edited it better.

I read all 4 books. The books I enjoyed...the movie not so much. The acting was over the top, the "special effects" were cheesy. The story was okay...but the movie didn't really show the development of Bella and Edward's relationship. This being said, I hope that they make New Moon and that it's better than Twilight was and does the book more justice.
