I came into the movie prepared for the worst, and was surprised that I was entertained for 2 hours. It's hard not to compare the movie to the book. I know the movie would be different. However, the following are sticking points for me, that could have been done better.
1) There was no history of the vampires from Carlisle.
2) The character development was lacking.
3) The plot was rushed - and the filming made the storyline very disjointed.
4)The soundtrack was really dorky - the guitar riffs! LOL!

No, I do not recommend this movie.
