Since finishing the 4th book, I have felt a little empty. Almost like a black hole was left in my heart and gut. The movie has helped heal me a little. Stephanie Meyers is an amazing writer, and I was not sure the movie could do the book justice, but I was proven wrong. I highly recommend seeing this on the big screen, and assure you that I will own it when it is released on film. And OMG, is Edward HOTTER than ever in the film. His smile is ever so sexy!

I enjoyed Twilight but I thought the movie was not as good as the book. I loved the book. I thought the movie did not develop the connection and love between Edward and Bella. I could not tell from Kristen's actions or expressions that Bella even liked Edward when they walked into the woods and proclaimed their feelings for each other. The movie could have been longer to create that connection which is the main theme of the entire series.

i freakin loved this movie. Im so glad i got to see it at the midnight premiere. i wish they were a tiny bit more like fun and flirty but the movie was still insanely good. plus that kiss scene WOAH! haha. :]

I recommend this movie for anyone who has read the books...you will love it! I also recommend it as a date movie since it is a beautiful love story! It is not an action movie, or a horror movie, so don't expect there to be blood! Overall, it is a beautiful adaption of the book, and the acting is great! I absolutely loved Charlie!!!

None of us wanted to leave the theater when it was over! Wish we could have stayed for the next showing. We were very pleased that it followed the book so close. We are looking forward to the next release. The 2nd book. We are not teens. A really good movie appeals to any age group, just as the books did. It doesn't take graphic sex or a filthy mouth to give the public what they want in entertainment.

One of the top movies of the year! They did a great job in fitting the 500 page book into a 2 hour movie. I would definatley see it again. While you don't have to read the story to understand the movie I think it definatley helps tie everything together.

If you read and loved the books as I did, don't waste your money seeing this movie. It was terrible! It was VERY mis-cast, the make-up jobs were bad, the acting left a lot to be desired and the story line was just not believeable. They didn't even build a "friendly" relationship between the 2 main characters before she was pledging her trust and undying love for Edward, so alot of the acting was overdone and corny.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Whether you've read Meyers' book or not, this movie is worth seeing. I've already been to see it twice! The screenplay really did a great job staying with the book. Those of us fond of the book will miss some of the dialogue we love, but really, they did an excellent job cramming what they could into a movie format. Bella and Edward were well chosen and the chemistry is excellent between them. My one complaint about the book was how strong Bella's character is in the beginning, but turns completely to mush in the end. I was pleasantly surprised that the movie did a better job keeping Bella more consistent. Have fun and be prepared to fall hopelessly in love.

I think anyone who goes to see a movie that is adapted from a book and expects it to be exactly like the book is asking for disappointment. Think about it--the makers of the movie have two hours to condense this beautiful love story that enfolds nearly on a day-to-day basis. It's very difficult! I enjoyed it...but I couldn't give it 5 stars simply because I thought the acting could have been better, and I also thought that at times, the script became improvised and the improvisation was poor. But overall--it was visually stimulating and the actors fit their roles. What more can you ask for? Maybe the makers of the next movie will take a bigger risk and extend the length of the movie (i.e. Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings)? =) Go see it.

I totally enjoyed this movie. I've already scene it twice. The progression of Belle and Edward's love story is a little fast in comparison to the book, but when making a movie some things must sacificed for time reasons. The essence of the movie is the same though. I would still watch it again, and again.

I really enjoyed the movie. Even though everything from the book was not in the movie I really feel that it had the spirit of the book and all the important lines and scenes were there. Robert was the perfect choice for Edward and I was not disappointed when I saw his performance. Though I believed from the beginning he was the right actor to play Edward. I recommend that people do see the movie.

The movie was okay. It left out important elements that were in the book that I felt needed to be included to establish some of the characters. I know it is not possible to put every detail that the book has into a movie but I think a much better job could have been done on this one. I will end up buying the dvd version when it is released for my daughter but otherwise it would not be on my must buy list.

Don't go to the movies much, but this one was definitely worth it. It followed the book really well, but even if you've never read any of the Twilight Saga, you will still enjoy this movie. The cast was perfect! It's a great story and I can't wait to see the next one. I only hope it doesn't take as long for #2 as it did for #1.

I have to say that I was very impressed with the way Twilight was done. Catherine is such a talented director, and she captured the best of Twilight. I loved the camera angles that she chose! It made it all very personal. Of course it wasn't as good as the book, but what movie is? I recommend seeing it over and over and over......

Of course it wasn't exactly like the book and I wished a couple more things were in it. I would have liked it to be a little longer but overall it was great. They added some really cool parts to it that didn't change the story but gave some of the characters personality. Overall they did a great job making it and I'm going to see it with my friends that have not gone to see it yet!

I have to see Twilight again because I basically didn't get to hear half the movie with all the screaming tweenies. I loved the book and enjoyed the movie. Go see it if you love romance and teen angst. Can't wait for the DVD. The only bad thing was I didn't hear when Paramore's "Decode" played in the movie. Gonna see it again this weekend. I ordered the tickets online for my daughter and her friend. It was the best way and I will definitely do it again. Both of the young ladies who actually saw the movie really, really liked it and are begging to go see it again, want to have the movie poster, get other books, etc. They could not stop talking about it afterward. They said casting (especially the male lead) was excellent and the movie was something they really enjoyed.

I saw this movie twice during it's opening weekend, b/c I just absolutely loved it! This was one of the best book-to-screen adaptations I'd ever seen. The acting was done very well as was the directing. The only critic I could come up with was the make up but even it got better as the film went on. I plan to see this movie at least 2 more times while it's in theaters and you can gurantee I'll be buying it. I went with a group of my friends both time (early to late 20 year olds ) and we are so sick of hearing how it is a 13 y.o movie. There were just as many adults in it as their was teens. This is an awesome movie for any age!

I am the father of four daughters; three teen and one tween. I have shared in the reading of the series with them. We have done the same with the Potter series. We have gotten a little critical of the Potter transitions to film as many major facets of the storyline are diminished or eliminated - we enjoy them for what they are. Twilight is a solid, well acted movie. One of the best features is how it preserved the integrity of the novel. There are no new characters, no elimination or twists on the storyline ( we can only dream of how much more we could have gotten from the Potter movies if held to the same standards...) no additives to make it more this or that.
