Whether you've read Meyers' book or not, this movie is worth seeing. I've already been to see it twice! The screenplay really did a great job staying with the book. Those of us fond of the book will miss some of the dialogue we love, but really, they did an excellent job cramming what they could into a movie format. Bella and Edward were well chosen and the chemistry is excellent between them. My one complaint about the book was how strong Bella's character is in the beginning, but turns completely to mush in the end. I was pleasantly surprised that the movie did a better job keeping Bella more consistent. Have fun and be prepared to fall hopelessly in love.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
