The movie definitely made the book come to life for me. Though it did go a little faster. IN the book it was months--the movie it was seemed like days. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves a little romance, and of course if you loved the Twilight Saga books. I loved it.

This movie was sooooo awesome! I wish they had stayed with the book more but there was no way they could have completely followed the book in 2 hours. Even though I've read all of the books I think they made the movie so that even if you hadn't read the book that you could still follow along and not be confused. This was awesome and now I can't wait for New Moon to come out in theaters!!!!!

i thought this movie was terrific! i absolutely love the book series and i think they really did a great job of keeping to the story. i was sad they left some parts out but if they would have had everything it would have been a 4 hour movie! rob pattinson did an incredible job as edward and i think the movie was cast perfectly. the soundtrack is the best i've ever heard and i think it's cool that rob has a song in it! i really don't know why people found it poorly acted and cheesy but i would personally recommend it to anyone!

I think overall it was a good movie. I think the books were better but you can't put as much descriptive detail into a movie as you can inot a book. I do wish they would have gotten more familiar with each of the Cullens and put more of their abilities in the movie. I think they left out some very important details from the book. But as a movie it was good. As a fan of the book it was a bit disappointing. I would recommend it to go see because its a great story and the chemistry and acting really is good. I've seen it twice already!

Good adaptation of the book

With the limited budget of this movie (compared to most) they did a good job of putting together a 2 hr movie out of a 500+ page book. I liked the choices they made with adapting the script from the book, I only wish they'd had more time/money to fill in some of the story for the people who didn't read the book. Also a few of the special effects of course would have looked better with some more $$ :) But I really liked the characters and all in all I was not disappointed.

i can not even begin to explain how awsome this movie was!!!!!!!!!!!! i'm a super twilight fan 'ive read all the books and seeing how well this movie was played out im vey excited to see the following ones: new moon, eclipse, and breaking dawn. it will be very interesting to see how these characters develop because twilight left me in awe after seeing it. i strongly reccommend seeing it, and i'm not just saying that!!!!!!! trust me im one of those people who hates to waste money on stupid movies THIS IS A BEYOND GREAT MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Renaissance Movie

I loved this movie!!!! I have seen it 3 times. It's got it all. Action, fast cars, beautiful people, humor and great fight scene! Rob is a great Edward Cullen. Though it is not exactly like the book, it follows close enough that you can recognize the characters immediately! Rob Pattison is a great Edward Cullen. The guy is perfect-handsome, strong, has a conscience, romantic and very well mannered. I love it!!! You shouldn't miss this movie!!!

THIS WAS THE BEST MOVIE OF ALL TIMES. I NEVER READ THE BOOK AND I UNDERSTOOD IT. IT WAS SWEET AND ROMANTIC AND SHOWS WHAT A GUY SHOULD BE LIKE. HINT HINT TO ALL THE GUYS. BUT OTHER THAN THAT ITS GREAT; THIS WILL BE MY SECOND TIME SEEING IT.

I expected Twilight to be horrible because movies based on books are, but it was okay. My friends who are fans of the Twilight book series all thought the movie was very bad.

I honestly thought that the actors/actresses weren't right for Twilight. When they picked the people, they relied on their looks. When I saw the pictures, I thought that they were perfect. But their acting was just wrong. Not like the book at all.

My advise is that if you read the book and have high expectations for the movie, don't go see it! If you haven't read Twilight yet, and would love a non-romantic movie (where the girl in love doesn't even smile for her lover) about romance, I suppose you can go watch Twilight.

Ok so we're not the target audience! But?

So we're the parents of 3 girls who are badly wanting to see this movie. One will be allowed to since she is 15, the other two won't be since they are 12 and 8 and too young for the violence. I have not read the books but trust me parents when I say that you probably need to before you would like this movie. It might or might not be true to the books but as a stand alone movie, it pretty much stinks. The first 80% of the movie is what really is bad the last 20% or so picks up somewhat and is ok. It doesn't have any really bad scenes that makes it objectionable. But, still it's for teenagers and not younger. Teenagers that like bad movies that is.

Did Not Follow The Book

I am a huge twilight book series fan and was hoping that the movie would try to follow what the book was like, but it didn't. It made me really sad that the director cut out all the "mushy gushy" stuff that edward and bella were suppose to have. Kristen Steward was a horrible actress, she did not have any emotion at all. Robert was okay, but the saddest part was that the VILLAINS acted the best. : / I am not looking forward to the second one at all. :(

I hated this movie because it totally deviated from the book. They made scenes in the book that should have been serious funny i.e." classroom when they first meet". They used to stupidest lines like " spider monkey" when Edwards vocabulary is so above that. Why in the world did they make Edward Glimmer like that, he just looked like he had a miss shaped face. I hated that they took away the best part of the book the Meadow scene and made it into that weird running scene. I was just over all disappointed with the movie because I went in there expecting to see the Book twilight and I found some cheap attempt at it. I just thought that the movie could have been produced so much better.

Good Adaptation

The problem with most people is that they expect the movie to be identical with the book. This is a most difficult task. The movie should capture the essence of the book and this movie does that in spades. I feel that the people cast in all of the roles were chosen because they could pull off the emotions needed. I feel the director told the story well and having read all of the books I know how the story should have gone. Edward is tortured he loves Bella and her blood is intoxicating to him. I felt that love and pain while watching the movie. Excellent movie. I enjoyed with my two daughters ages 14 and 17 yrs.

The movie itself was not bad. I will warn those like me who have read Stephanie Myers book that you may be somewhat disappointed.. It follows the book close enough to not make devoted readers outraged but there are variations. I am glad I saw it, and the two new leads, Kristin Bell and Robert Pattinson really did try to do their best at portraying the characters. Btw Summit films I hear is already starting the production of the second book :)

I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed the movie. I have read all the books, and in having said that, I do think it was helpful to have read the book before seeing the movie. It is hard to fit almost 600 pages into a two hour movie, and I was able to fill in blanks or add to what I saw by having read Twilight.

I was happy with the casting and I think the film makers were conscious of the fan base and tried their best to please. I am eagerly awaiting the next installment.

I have a friend who hasn't read the books but heard about them from me, she went to see the movie and loved it. We both plan to buy the movie when it comes out on DVD. The soundtrack is really great too.

Most movies are not as good as the books, but it can and has been done. The film was to rushed ,the graphics were horrible, even the make up even was bad. They did a better job with make up on interview with the Vampire and that was how long ago? I just hope that the next movie they take a little bit more time, do a better job on the graphics. and a stronger and more moving music selection. However the Acters had great chemistry and were believeable. There was humor and a akwardness that made it life like

if you've read the books - don't go into the movie thinking what you've conjured up in your mind to be the same caliber as the movie, otherewise you'll be let down. for the budget they had & having to make the book into a 2 hr. movie - they did a great job. if they had a larger budget & could have made it at least a 1/2 hr. longer - would have been much better. overall though, great movie - captured the tension & everything! well worth it!

omg when i first watched twilight i was like wow and i loved it i cryed then i laughed but i mostely cryed its was sweet how a ordernary girl and a vampire fall in love and the vampires family aprove that and how she firgured out he a vampire i was scared liek how he would react and he kept asking her is she scared and she said no wow and edward is cute for isabella(bella) :) i cant wait till the next movie comes out ill probably be the first to buy tickets :)

I read all of the twilight series books and I was sceptacle about the movie...but I have to say I loved it. I think I might even have liked it better then the book. The movie is so fast paced and to the point. Sure, there are things I would have liked to see in the movie, but I can live without them. Overall I think the movie was awesome!
