After reading the books the movie was a disappointment. I expected more. The special effects were cheesy and I kept waiting to feel the same connections with the characters you get after reading the books. It never happened. The whole movie just seemed rushed.

I haven't read any of the books, so I saw ‘Twilight’ without preconceptions. The movie was OK, but could have been much better. The whole movie looked amateurish. Most of the acting was sub par, and the special effects were very poor, almost cartoonish. Also, having the boyfriend's family in white make-up made their identity as vampires obvious, even though no one in the town could figure it out. The story gave me a sense of diversity run amok, as in 'You shouldn't treat people differently just because they don’t look like you' (even vampires). To make that premise more palatable, many of the traditional characteristics of vampires were changed. Beyond these flaws, if you’re looking for a true ‘love conquers all’ movie, this one is that.

There was a lot I wish was put in this movie, but overall it was amazing!!!!!! Robert Pattinson did an AMAZING job as Edward. He was soo hot, and captured the essence of Edward perfectly. The chemistry between Kristin and Robert made you melt in your seat. Twilight is my favorite book, and now my favorite movie. I can't wait to see what they do with the future films.

This movie definitely had its moments, but it just didn't reach its full potential. I read the book before I witnessed the movie and it just didn't make the cut to be in the same league as the novel. Don't get me wrong, if hadn't read the book then the movie would be phenomenal. I personally think that there were a few parts of the book left out that were important to plot of the novel. My friends and I agree that this movie was good overall, but didn't quite reach our expectations.

The movie was obviously a little different from the book since they had a lot to squeeze into 2 hours, but it was still great! I do agree with some of the other people in that it seemed a little choppy, and I also thought some parts were a little cheesy. However, being a Twilight fan I still loved it! My boyfriend didn't mind it either. Definitely worth seeing in the theater. Can't wait for the next one!!

After waiting for this movie for such a long time and finally seeing it, I was very satisfied in many ways. The music score was amazing and the acting proved to make the twilight characters more believable. Robert's portraying as the masochistic Edward Cullen was phenomenal. He truly knew what he doing throughout the movie. I would have added some things to the movie but I'm just happy it was true to the book.

I am a big fan of the books and i knew themovie was never going to live up to the books but i tried to keep an open mind as i felt obligated to see the movie. Now i really really tried to like it, i honestly did But still it was maybe one of the worst movies ive seen in the theaters.
Bella NEVER smiled, not once. You'd think in a romance movie the lead protagonist would crack a smile at least once but no. The way the relationship developed to me was bad and choppy, they rushed over a lot of things and assumed that every one in the audience had read the book, If you haven't read the book, don't go see, you'll sleep through most of it. But if you have read the book then I guess it's up to you if you want to waste 10 buck on a horrible movie

Having read the entire Twilight series and being extremely excited to see Twilight as a movie, I really didn't know what to expect. I thought the movie was excellent, and kept very true to the book, which was very important to me as such a huge fan of the books. I don't think they could have picked a better cast as everyone did such a fantastic job portraying their characters. Of course there were parts I thought could have been done differently or better, but that was to be expected with such a low budget. The most unexpected part was the humor and some of the facial expressions, they were hilarious! I am ecstatic that they have decided to go ahead and film New Moon, I cannot wait to see it!

I've seen bad movies and liked them. This was just so bad that I was laughing at the serious moments, and the entire insipid romance between Bella the moron and Edward the emo stalker was awful.
Plot made no sense and there were leaps were I suddenly wondered if I'd fallen asleep and missed something vital beyond vampires that had rolled in glitter and liked to climb trees.
Best thing I can say is it'll give my friends and I material for months to make other people laugh.

I loved the movie as it did give some insight visuals after reading the book. However I found actually reading the book Edwards character was more comical. Also most of the scenes did take place in totally different places than the book indicated. I enjoyed the movie however I would recommend reading the book first.

I was afraid that the hype would way overshadow the movie, but I really liked it. I made sure to read the books after the fact because I was afraid the movie would not compare. They actually left some things out and changed some things as movies do, but kept the important parts. The characters were more moody in the movie, but that's teens for you. The acting was well done I thought and scenery lovely. I especially love the soundtrack. Good job and hope they step it up for the next one!

This movie has it all. I can't wait for the sequel. I would recommend for 12 years and up. It certainly touches the heart, makes you a jump a bit and keeps you at the end of your seat with a certain type of "awww that is so thoughtful and sweet". The Kristen Stewart is "no doubt" a new up and coming actor - she as that certain personality enjoyed in such films as this - she is a real actor.
