Of course it was good, but not amazing. The reason for this negativity is that the producer and co. did exactly what I thought they would, downplayed Jacob and the wolves and upplayed the overdramatic and whiney Edward scenes (personally I think Bella is an idiot) They left out many important parts (ie imprinting!) that will eventually be important to the story. Hopefully this oversight will be rectified in Eclipse. Taylor was not only delicious to look at, but played his character to a T. In contrast, to the extreme, Robert looked rather sickly and out of shape (but anyone would be next to Taylor). Very odd. Still enjoyed the movie overall and will purchase it.

I was afraid that the hype would way overshadow the movie, but I really liked it. I made sure to read the books after the fact because I was afraid the movie would not compare. They actually left some things out and changed some things as movies do, but kept the important parts. The characters were more moody in the movie, but that's teens for you. The acting was well done I thought and scenery lovely. I especially love the soundtrack. Good job and hope they step it up for the next one!
