This movie was amazing especially for fans of the book series. This movie held true to the text the majority of the the time and the dialogue was pretty much straight from the book. all of the major parts from the book was included (which is something that i find most book based movies do not accomplish) this is definitely a movie where fans will be pleased. To top it off there was a great cast selection. Rob did an excellent job playing the role of edward cullen as well as peter Facineli as Carlisle Cullen ( he is soo hot) however i recommend reading the book first because there are some inside jokes that only fans will completely understand.

I thought the film translation of the book did it justice. Of course there were things that were left out.. but as far as I'm concerned I thing they got the premise of the book really well and I think they did a great job leaving it open for New Moon (Yay Jake at the prom!). Loved the casting all around. Rob and Kristen were perfect. We all have little nit picky things (Sparking skin or sweat? lol) but on the whole is was awesome and I will definitely be seeing it multiple times!

For you who appreciate the beauty of the Twilight series, this movie has portrayed its characters as being painfully simple & stereotypical, losing both the complexity and the "it factor" that had me hooked. My true disappointment was with Edward. The way that Pattison played his part underwhelmed and frustrated me. Bella and Edward are supposed to have a forbidden, restrained, and PASSIONATE love. In this film it deals more with the fact that Edward is a "monster" than with their relationship. The relationship is the dominant theme in the novel, with his status as a vampire being the main foil. Every movie adaptation must lose some of the book's meaning but this one completely underplayed their complex yet triumphant love.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

I found the movie amusing. I definitely laughed a lot. The problem was that there were parts that were supposed to be mysterious, exciting, or romantic that just ending being laughed at. The romance between Bella and Edward did not seem well developed. All of a sudden they love each other out of nowhere. Also, Edward didn't seem as sweet as he does in the book. He was supposed to be madly in love with Bella, but he just seemed to like staring at her in a creepy way. Despite all this, I still loved the movie. Movies made into books are never perfect but this was fine. It didn't make me as mad as the Harry Potter movies did. Anyways, I would recommend it, but just remember not to go in their with very high expectations.

This movie is most certainly for the lovers of the books. It moves pretty fast, but all the major points come across. What Stephenie Meyer brought to the page, Catherine Hardwicke has brought to the screen. It is funny at some odd moments, but completely loveable. Robert Pattinson is a perfect Edward capturing angst on a new level. Kristen Stewart shines as the klutzy object of his desire. Billy Burke as Charlie was a bright star in the film. All the Cullen's were amazing, even though none of them got nearly enough screen time. I adored all the human classmates much more in the film. Jacob was built up to be a major character, but only ended up in four scenes. Overall, a wonderful adaptaion and would recomend it to one and all.

How does one tell your girlfriend that you are a mind reading vampire? In Twilight such important matters are most likely discussed in the high school cafeteria over the salad bar.
Twilight mixes the corniest of teen romance drama with vampires that sparkle. ( I kid you not, they really do sparkle.) The actors are serious enough for a holocaust movie and I spent the entire time waiting for one to giggle just a little bit at the silly lines they have to deliver.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

The movie was excellent, however the book is BETTER!!! I really loved it because I wanted to see Edward. Pattinson and Stewart did Bella and Edward justice!! I love Edward and I would go see it again! The characters for Emmet, Jasper & Alice were great too.. I just wish it was longer... there wasn't enough time to get to know the characters like in the book. they cut it a little too short!...

I really loved this movie. They did a great job. I thought Charlie was perfect. I loved all the high school kids they were perfect. I really thought they casted everything so well. I hope there will be more movies as I want to see more of these characters. I wished they would have zoomed out every now and then during some of the scenes but I loved. Go see it!!!

I went to see the midnight show -I enjoyed the movie. But like someone else said YOU must read the book to fully understand the movie.
I thought the "Cullen Family" was casted perfectly. They were just as I expected.

After reading the books, I was very eagerly awaiting this movie's release.The movie...I have mixed feelings about it. I do feel as though some parts had an overdose of cheese factor and then other parts were very nicely done. My boyfriend (whom has never read any of the books and did not know anything of the story) really enjoyed it. The humor was witty and enjoyable--and there was a lot more violence shown then I thought there was going to be. Really, this movie just made me really excited for a sequel. I think with a fatter movie budget, the sequel will be fantastic. So overall, I really don't feel like this satisfied my Twilight craving, but it did curb it substantially.

Twilight was a good movie, but a much better book. When making the film they cut a lot of scenes and re-wrote how some things happened. The movie is definitely good, but if you haven't read the book - I wouldn't spend money on the movie. This movie is definitely geared to the readers of the book. There are funny moments and serious jumps to certain scenes that a non-reader of the book would never understand. If you've read this book, DEFINITELY go see the film!

So this short review is from the eyes of the guy who bought you the tickets and sat down with you because he knew it would make you happy.
To the nonfan, Twilight is the standard lonely human girl meets brooding vampire “who is tortured over seeing her as lover and food” formula.
For the boyfriend/husband nonfan, be prepared to be bumped to 2nd or 3rd best by Pattinson/Cullen. You'll at least have an allright movie to watch with her, her happiness at you guys going to see HER movie, and watchign her face as she gets that special flavor of happiness and lust from getting to stare into Cullen's eyes.

I've read all the books, and last night I got to see the movie. It was great, There are a few areas that people might not get if they have not read the books, but you can sill watch it without reading the books and enjoy it. My only complaint would be that it did move a bit to fast, however there is only so much you can cram into a 2 hour time slot, so it had to be fast paced to get it all in. Worth the trip to see it. But I do recomend buying your tickets early, if we hadn't we wouldn't have gotten in.

As an avid Twilight fan, I have been anticipating this movie for months. I stayed up late on a work night and braved the midnight showing. I felt that the pace was a little awkward, there were way too many cheesy close ups, most of the acting was only so-so, and the sweeping music (the score, not the soundtrack) was very distracting. It was good, but certainly not great. The shining moments for me were the scenes with Bella's dad, Charlie, and the fight scene at the end. I would definitely recommend the books over the movie.

I think these are great books and of the four Twilight is my favorite so I was really excited to see this movie. While there were some good parts I felt that the entire movie was rushed from one scene to the next. Therefore, the story wasn't really developed - it was just all of a sudden they like each other and throw this in really quick. Overall, it was a fine movie, but I think the hype just built it up so much that it had way too much to live up to. All in all, I would say go see it because I do love the books, but not as good as I had hoped for.

First of all, the movie was better than I expected. They did a great job making it an easy movie to follow if you hadn't read the books yet. They also made it a great addition to the books, because like many have said, if you've read the books than you laugh at some parts that only true twilight-aholics would get.
So there's the question I pose, to read or not to read? I obviously have already the books, so I found somethings just hilarious. My friend who hadn't read the book found it just as fascinating. I recommend reading the books in general, but if you don't, you're still gonna get what's going on.

I am a huge Twilight Series fan. I just saw the movie Twilight and I loved it! I thought all the actors did such a great job!! I found myself laughing in scenes, which was a pleasant surprise. They had to change some things to fit it all in the the 2 hours but kept the important parts true to the book. Robert Pattinson is absolutley beautiful as Edward Cullen and I felt they did a great job bringing all the characters, we love from the book, to life on screen. I will definitely see it again!! I really truly hope they turn the other books into movies!!

The movie was very captivating, i liked the outcome of it but i wish the movie could have been more romantic like the book. i would of wanted to hear bella tell edward or edward tell each other I LOVE YOU but i didnt hear it once. In a weird way i fell in love with EDWARD...but if you tend to watch the movie, you definitely need to read teh book first to understand the movie.

I read the book and I had very high expectations, When I saw it last night I was dissappointed because there was so much left out of the movie from the book. It kinda seemed like Edward was akward not smooth and romatic as he was in the book he was rude and rough, but thats just was we think. Although my husband hasnt read the book and he LOVED the movie. I am a Twilighter that went to go see the movie at midnight last night and it was worth it. The thing to keep in mind is that this is adapted from the book so things do get left out, much like a remixed song, it has the core story but some of the details were changed. Everyone in the movie was excellent. They did a terrific job of bringing all the characters to life. The story is essentially the same which I was very pleased about, a great adaptation. The only disappointment was how rushed it all felt. Everything seemed to move so quickly that it was over too soon, it should have been at least a half hour longer. Hopefully the movies will get progressively better with each one. Can't wait for New Moon!

I have to say though to some people, NO MOVIE WILL EVER BE JUST LIKE THE BOOK. Some things were different but they added tons of humor in it. It was really good. I actually enjoyed it. I think if they finish the series the other movies will be better. Still I absolutely loved it. I'm actually seeing it a second time (and my little sister) with my cousin next week.

I am 26. I read all the books! Not sure how I accomplished this? This isn't just for Teens! I gives adults something to fantisize about, you just get caught up in the book. I wonder what Jacob will be like in the movie? How about Reneseme? What will the Voltorie be like? How will we understand Edward can read minds but Bellas? How will she protray she is glad some thoughts can't be heard? Im afraid to be let down, you know book is always better.I hope the movie does justice.
