First of all let me start out by saying that the rumors of an awesome and revealing nude scene with Hugh Jackman were greatly exaggerated. Couldn't the camera have lingered just a bit longer? We sure got to see enough of that blue man's tube in The Watchman.
On a more serious note I would have to say that Jackman has no chemistry with his love interest or his nemesis Sabretooth. His conflict with this character seems really contrived.
The movie is supposed to take place within the span of one day but it sure feels longer. The dialogue is very predictable and feels like it was lifted from just about every movie or tv show about aliens who want to tell humans to mend their ways.
How does one tell your girlfriend that you are a mind reading vampire? In Twilight such important matters are most likely discussed in the high school cafeteria over the salad bar.
Twilight mixes the corniest of teen romance drama with vampires that sparkle. ( I kid you not, they really do sparkle.) The actors are serious enough for a holocaust movie and I spent the entire time waiting for one to giggle just a little bit at the silly lines they have to deliver.
While this movie wasn't unwatchable it was relentlessly mediocre. Some scenes got a few laughs from the audience but overall it lacked the spunk and craziness of the original. The midnight showing audience I watched the movie with seemed amused at certain points but it was pretty quiet when the ending credits rolled. I also got the feeling that the movie was written in such a way as to end the franchise. Even the filmakers didn't believe in this movie.
