I am a Twilight addict, and I LOVE the books & soundtrack! The movie is good, but may have some holes in the story for anyone who has not read the book. There is a lot of the AMAZING stuff (character & relationship development) from the book that is left out of the movie. Many of the scenes are cut short to achieve the 2 hour time frame. I thought that Edward was absolutely yummy, and loved Alice, Victoria, and James! They have added some humor to the movie that was not present in the book, and you will laugh but it is a little cheezy. I wish that they would have had more of the soundtrack playing in the film. However, I did like the movie, and will totally go see it again. I love seeing the characters being brought to life!

I went into the movie with the mindset that it was going to be incredibly far off from the book, but it was surprisingly accurate! Yes there were some scenes that were cut that I would have liked to see, but it IS a movie, not the book copied and pasted onto the big screen. I was AMAZED by the incredible job the actors did; Robert Pattinson absolutely blew me away! He was so beautiful and he just played the character of Edward perfectly! Overall I loved this movie, and I'm definitely going to see it again!

I loved the books but was truely diappointed with the movie. I went to the midnight showing and everone was laughing at how cheesey the dialogue and scenes played out. I am 34, and this is definietly geared towrds the pre-teen girls, who will probably love the movie. Seniors in high school and up will enjoy the books more. Movie makers had a great opportunity to really make this a great film, but fell flat. I hate to admit it, but Kristen Stewart was terrrible as well.

If you would like to know who's team I'm on i'll tell you. I'm on both! I loved both jacob and Edward, who wouldn't. But everyone in the movie was funny, especially Edward when he first comes face to face with Bella. Also, all the Forks kids were funny. If you want a clue to who was one of the funniest I'll tell you, his first name rhymes with ike and the last name is the name of a scientist. And all the vamps were hot, ooh and watch out for Jasper *hint*.When you go to see the movie you'll see that somethings you didn't expect to see and maybe somethings that you wish they didn't change but the over all effect will win you over! Hopefully!

If you have read the series, go see the movie. If you have not, please read the book first. You may not get some things in the movie if you do not read the book! The movie skipped a lot of details, but it would have been impossible to put everything in a 2 hour movie. The cast fit the roles perfectly!

If you have read the series, this is a must see. Although the movie was forced to alter and condense many of the scenesin the novel to fit time limitations, Catherine Hardwicke and the writers of Twilight have created a wonderful visual interpretation of the novel. Although some scenes are corny and seem humorous compared to the presentation in the book, this movie was exceptional for its concept. At first I was quite wary of this movie as I thought it would only disappoint as it could never compare to the book, but I was wrong. Although different, the movie stays true to the book for the most important ideas but allows for an interesting visual experience of the book so many have fallen in love with.

though the movie has this unexpected indie feel, it is actually appreciated for that matter. the characters are so lovable, it is hard not to want to be involved. it evokes the emotions presented in the book, and it sticks to its plot in a wonderful way that makes sense, even if it's not verbatim. there is one scene i would have like to see differently, and i'd take Stephenie Meyer's very distracting quick appearance out, but even with that, the movie is worth seeing!

To be quite fair, the movie had its highs and lows. The highest parts, however, were the banter between the secondary characters. Rob's faces made the movie. The biology scene comes to mind.
Don't go see it if you are expecting to see an award-winning movie. If you want to be thoroughly amused, and if you've read the book, then buy your ticket and some popcorn, sit in the very back, and prepare to be amused with "This is the skin of a killer!" while he sparkles.

For all the hype this movie garnered and for as good as the books were---this movie definitely falls way short. There was alot of laughter throughout the theater, although most of it was not at intentionally funny parts. That is why I gave it a fair rating instead of poor---I don't think I have laughed that much in years. The characters playing Bella & Edward did a huge disservice to them---no onscreen chemistry at all. Read the books, wait for the movie to come out on dvd (just to appease your curiosity), but it definitely was not worth it.

The movie was decent. It didn't follow the story at all. There were many parts of it that I would have LOVED to see, but weren't in it at all. If you didn't read the book, you'll love the movie. If you read the book, you'll be disappointed in the movie. The book was a very dark book and made edward dazzling and seductive without trying....but in the movie everything was funny and made edward look awkward instead of suave, It definitley didn't fulfill my expectations.

Some parts of the movie were really gay, and there were so many teeny boppers in there screaming and commentating it felt like I was getting the commentators version. Alright guys, this was the best movie I have ever seen. I saw it at the midnight showing. Everything was perfect and how I expected it to be. This is probably the best book to movie series to ever happen. Twilight does not even compare to Harry Potter. Twilight is so much better.
I do recommend to read the book first. It will help to understand some of the material in the movie. One fault that the movie did have, was that it moved to fast from part to part. All in all the movie was phenomenal.
Rob Pattinson is good eye candy too. What an attractive man he is!

I'm a huge fan of the Twilight Saga, but this movie just didn't do it for me. It was much too fast pased, and if I hadn't of read the book, i don't know how well I would have kept up. I also felt it was funnier than producers ment it to be. Some of the stuff seemed like it was over acted...almost cheesy. It was almost...boring. BUT I would recommend it to any Twilight fan just because its nice to see it translated to film. But all in all, this film just didn't do the book any justice.

I think that 90% of the movie was great. I wish they had taught Robert how to use the harnessing system better because it was clear that whenever he made a jump he was on a harness. it just looked poorly done at those parts.
the actors all looked like they had great chemistry with each other.
a lot of key parts that i would have LOVED to see play out on the screen were skipped, but overall it was pretty good. i am a HUGE twilight fan, but i think the movie could be improved upon.

p.s. i suggest everyone goes to see it in order to form their own opinion....and get more money to new moon!

If you haven't read the book, you might not get most of the funny scenes in the movie. However, Edward Cullen is one constant funny scene, so that makes up for it. Robert Pattinson is an attractive man but really has a problem delivering his lines. The scenes work really well until he opens his mouth. He made every scene really awkward or just hilarious with his creeper demeanor. The movie does a good job of staying true to the book, but shouldn't have sped through the groundwork for the relationship. They removed the witty dialogue between the couple and turned them into two angst-ridden teens that can't be together, but have to for some reason.

If you have not read Twilight you must do so before you watch the movie.....the movie was AMAZING loved it....I would of liked for it to be a bit longer but it was 2hours so i'm ok......the movie covered alot of the main parts of the book but left out small details that only the book has which is logical......LOVED IT when jacob came to the prom and how he and edward had a stare down WOW!!! its like a foreshadow of whats it going to be like in the following movies, if they make them which I am truly hoping they will!!!!!

For those who loved the book, this is a faithful adaptation and you couldn't ask for better lead casting in Kristin Stewart and Robert Pattinson. That said, any problems I have with this movie come from the formulaic teen-lit-ness of Stephanie Meyer's book. Seeing it on screen just made the genericness of the (however well told) story stand out in the wrong way. It's the best anyone could hope for this film to turn out, and maybe I'm just jaded after having spent 6 1/2 hours in line to see it, but I was expecting to be thrilled and awed, not just pleasantly satisfied.

I loved the movie. It did justice to the book. I know there were some things left out, but there was no way to put over 500 pages into a two hour movie. There are somethings that you might not understand if you have not read the book, but they did a great job of bringing the characters that we have grown to love, to life on the screen. The movie was pretty good. It did follow the book for the most part, and I'd have to say that if you're going to watch it you should definately read the book first. The book is way more descriptive and it will make the movie a much more rewarding experience. There are parts in the movie that only someone who'd read the book would get. James, Charlie, Edward, Victoria, and Rosalie did an amazing job with the character acting. I couldn't imagine better people for the parts. If you're really a Twilight fan, you'll see this movie.

OK. so just like with any book that they make into a movie, they skipped a lot and changed a lot.but i still LOVED the movie!! i plan to watch it over and over!! every character did was great. They were all hot! and Jasper's facial expressions throughout the movie were hilarious! Good movie. LOVE the books! Can't wait for the next movies!!

I saw the midnight showing just like millions of others and while I really liked it I'm undecided as to how much. The story bounced around very quickly which might be confusing to anyone who didn't read the book. The white make up ended up being a bit much. In Carlise's opening scene the audience actually laughed at his caked on white powder.
I do have to say that Robert Pattinson as Edward was a perfect choice. He nailed the role and had my heart fluttering.
The Forks teens did an excellent job and brought alot of humor
After following the filming of this movie religiously from the beginning it was fun to finally watch it come to life even if it did not entirely follow the book.

I was worried that the movie wouldn't be able to stay true to the book, as I'm sure every Twilight fan was. I was also afraid that the actors wouldn't be able to fulfill their roles. All my worrying was for naught though. This film, and all the actors were directly in tune with Meyer's novel.
I will warn you that if you're a diehard Twilight fact-checker, you'll probably be disappointed. Some stuff was moved around to make sense in a movie setting, and they reworded the heroin line. But the movie did catch the personality of the book, and completely did it justice.

Twilight was GREAT! I really enjoyed it. I would say that anyone planning to go see the movie should read the books first! AT LEAST the first one. There was a lot of stuff left out and I feel that if you just went to see for the heck of it, you might get confused. The actors did a great job. Rob Pattinson is the BEST Edward possible. He's gorgeous! It was funny and sexy at the same time. I liked that nothing was added to the film. Everything came straight from the book, and was portrayed well. Again, READ TWILIGHT before seeing the movie!

I saw this movie with my boyfriend, who hasn't read any of the books, and he left there pretty confused.

What can I say? Jacob is in the movie all of three times for about 2 minutes each, they left out important plot points, and they moved the story along way too quickly. Plus the movie was one big "inside joke".
** You MUST read the books before you see the movie for it to make any sense.
Dont get me wrong. I was at the theatre at 11:59 Thrusday night, and I wouldnt take that back. I'd see the movie again just to see it, because let's hope that if they continue the movies that they get better, because the special effects were slightly cheesey too.
All in all I'd see the next one just to see how they do. But dont skip the books because the movie lacked. The books are so much better, and the 4th one is the best in the series.

i've read all the book seires at least 3 or 4 times! i love twilight and i thought that the movie would not be very good. The movie was just like the book word for word. They only added one scene that was not in the book and took one scene out. i think if you have not read the book you would not get the ending but would still enjoy the movie.

Saw Twilight at the 12:01 showing. It was a good movie and very entertaining. I thought it was very true to Meyer's book. I like that it did not have a lot of "green screen" special effects, that the production tried to use actual settings.
Some of the injected humor was a little hokey but the teens liked the humor. A good Mom-daugher event to go see.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
