This movie was totally awesome. I saw it twice in one day and want to see it again. I LOVED it!!!! I think you have to read the books to understand the movie but I would definately recommend both the books and the movie to my friends. The characters were perfect (especailly Alice). I thought the baseball scene was great. Just like the book only better. I can't wait for the sequel.

Without giving anything away, I did like the film and would recommend it. While enjoyable, if you've read Stephenie Meyer's novel, the film will leave many details to be desired. The screenwriter had to reduce hundreds of pages, or 14 hours of audiobook, into a two hour visual experience. No easy task. However, it captures many of the main moments we loved reading about and specific quotes from the book. Some scenes felt rushed or jumped across. As for the special FX, they did a great job. I appreciate the actors' interpretation as they displayed humor, tension, action, and love. When the other films are released, I'll join the long movieplex line, hoping they captured the essence of Meyer's storytelling.

I loved this movie! They made it just like the book. The characters are perfect, the setting is perfect, and the movie was just all around perfect. Edward and Bella did a great job!

The movie was a little dissapointing to me, I had very high hopes though.
They took the main points, changed the words a little, and then just plopped it into the movie. I found that if I hadn't of read the book, the movie would have been very incomplete and brief.
They missed some scenes like the arport ascape, but did very well in the baseball scene. The movie didn't have the same magical mood I get when reading the book.
I would recommend it to any obsesed or interested twilgiht fan, but just don't expect it to be a world exploding amazingly-briliant movie. TEAM EDWARD CAUSE JACOB (with the stupid long hair) DOESN'T SPARKEL!!!

Personally, I am a huge fan of the book series. However, I went to the movie (and I'd advise others to do this as well) with no expectations. Why? Because NO movie could EVER meet the expectations our amazing (and somewhat obsessive) fanbase. I put what I read behind me so I could watch the movie without dissecting it and saying things like, 'Hey! The kitchen cabinets are supposed to be yellow!'
So, with that state of mind, I loved the movie. The tension, the fight scene, the baseball scene- it was all fantastic and intense. The only negative thing I have to say was the glittering special effects could have been better. I would definitely suggest this movie, and I look forward to the second installment: New Moon.

The first time I saw the film I was so terribly disappointed! The second time I was able to just let it go, and let it be "funny". Unless Jasper was intentionally doing an impersonation of Edward Scissor Hands? Katharine should have rained them in a bit. Kristen stammered and humphed alot, while blinking her eyes at blinding speeds. And Robert opened his so wide (when he was bitten by Carlisle & when he was sucking the venom out of Bella's arm) that it was comical! There were parts added to the movie that didn't need to be there. The result was a poor development of the love story! It was as if the big parts of the book were simply spewed out, with no development or transitions. However, I'd fault the director.

OMG this is one of the best movies ive ever seen! It wasnt as good as the book and they could have added a few more parts but all in all this is MY FAVORITE movie ever. IM IN LOVE WITH TWILIGHT!!! If your into love/action/funny/awesome movies you have to see this one!

Loved the books as much as my daughters. Went to the movie with low expectations, didn't think there was any way to capture the book on film. Because of the low expectations it turned out to be a fun movie. I thought Edward was great. Jasper was interesting. I couldn't understand why everyone in the movie liked Bella, there was no substance to her. She hardly talked, never laughed, we didn't get to see her being accident-prone. There was some funny stuff, exciting moments, and good visual effects.

it was alright. but, a lot of the acting and dialogue made me cringe a somewhat. just a little cheesy. but seeing 2 hours of this robert pattinson guy on the screen will definitely get me into another one of these movies. really good looking guy. i hate how all the guys in the movie fall all over bella though. she isn't all that great looking. over all a halfway decent film. however, i imagine that if you didn't read the book this movie would be kind of can i say stupid? and/or hard to follow.

Amazing Movie. I was a little scared of how the characters were going to be on screen, and if the actors could pull it off. Robert and Kristen did an even more amazing job than what I expected. The chemistry between those two is incredible. Definitely love this movie, and cannot wait for the others to come out.

I am a single, 45 year old female who's read all the books. So now you know where I'm coming from! Twilight wasn't as bad as I feared, but it wasn't as good as I'd hoped. I liked it, but I didn't love it, and I REALLY wanted to love it.
Everything and everybody in this movie was shot through a blue filter, even when they were in sunny Phoenix. The human characters looked as undead as the vampires! They were also fairly morose, so again, might as well have been dead. The exception was the character of Jacob. Seems nothing can dim his light! He was adorable and I look forward to his bigger role in New Moon.

I did really enjoy the movie, although I do think that the movie had more meaning when you had read the book. Some friends who had not read the book said they still enjoyed the movie but were asking questions about some of the background, etc. I was not pleased with the amount of screaming, squealing and overall obnoxious people in the audience. I'm a HUGE fan, but PLEASE Robert Pattinson is not going to come through the screen and ask any of us on a date - let's just watch the movie! :0)

having read the book, i didn't expect the movie to be amazing and accurate, cause that's never the case when they turn a book into a movie.
It was kinda and had it's awkward parts, but so did the movie; so i expected it to be weird. The actors weren't bad, but the actual production of the movie wasn't great. I was actually able to see the strings tugging on the top of the actors' shirts when they were jumping from tree to tree in the woods.
but overall it was a good movie, go see it! :)

hey this movie was pretty good. it wasnt the best movie, but the plot was very good. they left out some of the most important parts, which made it alot more different from the book. the dialogue wasnt the best either. it was thin, not having much. i guess my problem is that i expected so much out of this movie that it wasnt as great as i thought it would be. but rob and kristen were a great edward and bella! the special effects were amazing--i loved edward's skin in the sun!! i would go see the movie again, and i probably will sometime soon.

I LOVED the books - even the partial book online, Midnight Sun. I was so disappointed in the movie. I think it was cheesy and it felt like they were poking fun at charachters that I love. I really think that if you haven't read the book, then it would be difficult to follow the movie.

I was very satisfied with the movie. I expected a "modern" teen film and I wasn't dissapointed. Perhaps, some things were off from the book like conversations between Bella and Edward at different times but all in all I will see it again and I know I will buy when the DVD comes out. I can't wait till next year for New Moon....

i loved it. i read the books as they came out, and was really nervous about a movie adaptation. i just have to say that everything that is shot in the movie looks exactly as i imagined it while reading the books. there was a lot of stuff left out, which is understandable, but it still had the integrity of the source material.
the funny parts were funny, the sexy parts were sexy, and the creepy parts were really creepy. kristen stewart is the perfect bella and robert pattinson is THE PERFECT EDWARD.

I have not seen a movie yet that was better than the book. The movie was good. I think they could have done a better job of displaying the love Edward feels for Bella. I know that there was a lot of stuff to squeez in but the one thing that stays the same is that Edward loves Bella more than life itself. He would always brush her face with his hand and put his arms around her waist. I missed that affection. Overall I was pleased I enjoyed it much more the second time I saw it and I can't wait till it is on DVD. Also Looking forward to the next movie. And the next book. Stephenie Meyer is an awesome writer. I have enjoyed all of the Twilight Saga including Midnight Sun several times as well as her other book the Host.

Personally, I loved the movie, but they could have gone a bitter deeper into the book. I also felt as if they skipped around a lot. Of course, the movie has to be under a certain amount of time, so they had to cut a few scenes, but i think they could have gone more in depth. The special effects worked really well with the movie, and the acting was spectacular, along with the music. Over all, i think it was a very good movie and i can't wait till the next one comes out in 2010

I was dissapointed in the movie, but I knew I would be. The way they edited the storyline for the movie wasn't overall bad. I just really hated how there was almost no romantic connectin between Edward and Bella. Edward constantly looked scared and weak, while Bella was always the strong one. But she didn't show much emotion at all.
Overall it was a pretty great book to movie transition, but the reason why most people love the books so much is because of the romantic relationship, and the movie hardly even showed any of it. Also how she figures out he's a vampire and then he spills all his secrets to her, happens in one sketchy scene was really horrible.

I read all 4 books and loved them all, the movie was as close to Twlight as it could have been. Anyone with a brain knows that it is impossible to put everything in a movie that is in a book so get over it already and just enjoy the movie for the amazing entertainment it was. Dear "Worst Movie Ever" you should realize the whole theatre was laughing because the movie had humor in it not because it was a bad show. The characters did a Great job and the movie left us all begging for the sequal.
