Personally, I am a huge fan of the book series. However, I went to the movie (and I'd advise others to do this as well) with no expectations. Why? Because NO movie could EVER meet the expectations our amazing (and somewhat obsessive) fanbase. I put what I read behind me so I could watch the movie without dissecting it and saying things like, 'Hey! The kitchen cabinets are supposed to be yellow!'
So, with that state of mind, I loved the movie. The tension, the fight scene, the baseball scene- it was all fantastic and intense. The only negative thing I have to say was the glittering special effects could have been better. I would definitely suggest this movie, and I look forward to the second installment: New Moon.
