I have been an avid fan of these books for the past 3 years and I could not have been happier with the film. they stayed so faithful to the novel and Robert Pattenson absolutely nailed Edward. He got him down to a T and I cannot imagine anybody else having done that well at such a complex character. I am so impressed with how well they adapted the book to the screen and I can't wait for the next one!

I love the books and went to the movie expecting disappointment, but I really enjoyed it! It was a bit rushed, but they did well with the story line.

I thought it was hillarious and had a certain part of humor the book didn't have. All of the acting was great. I especially loved Robert Pattinson. Every single girl in the theater screamed when he came on. Kristen stewart was great too. The movie showed great emotion and you could feel exactly what everyone was feeling. I cried when the movie was over not because it was sad but because of the combination of all the emotions I had felt throughout the movie. I also cried about how great it really was. I reccomend this movie to everyone not only people who have read the book or vampire loving teenage girls like me but to anyone who loves a great love story but also someone who loves action.

Wow, Just... wow. This movie was AWESOME! I loved the energy from the actors and the special effects. The baseball scene was my favorite and Robert surpassed my expectations of what Edward Cullen should be. His smoldering glare, his caring soul, just everything about him screamed Edward. It was a GREAT movie, I loved every minute of it.

Although the book was better the movie is worth seeing. I took my daughter and her friend to see Twilight for their birthdays and we had a great time. From the music, to the dialogue, to the action we all had our favorite parts and favorite lines. We can't wait to see how they translate book two for the screen.

This was an excellent adaptation of an already amazing book! Loved how the characters matched the characters in the book. To often the movie version is a flat and edited copy of the book, but this was vibrant and alive and every bit as good as the book!

I thought it was really good. The book was better but they always are. But altogether I thought it was an awesome movie and I hope they come out with a 2nd one for the 2nd book with a lil more action, even thought I love the love aspect of it.

This movie gave me butterflies, the acting was brilliant, the movie was overall amazing, and the characters are soo cutee! and hot! there were some significant changes from the book which kind of upset me, but the new things were good!

I thought this movie was great. Obviously it was not as good as the book but what movie ever is. There is just way to much detail to fit into 2 hours. But I thought they did a good job fitting in all the important parts watchers needed to know. A lot of people are saying Edward and Bella were awkward together but to me that is how I thought of them while reading the book. I dont know but I loved this movie!! I'll probably go see it again. I cant wait for the next one!!

I really enjoyed seeing this movie with five of my friends, It was amazing. Everyone was let into the theatre like 50 min. before the movie, and everyone was screaming. There were a couple girls that even started the wave. The movie was everything i expected. I mean they put all the important senes into it, after all they cant fit everything. I would recomend this to everyone. I would see it again for sure.

I thought the book was better, but seeing the characters come to life is wonderful. The movie is really good, but not as sensual and as detailed as the book. Awful hard to touch on all the important aspects of Bella's life in just 2 hours. But with that being said, I wanted to see more of Bella and Edward together- just looking into each others eyes- just touching one another and getting used to each other. I hope New Moon will be more of that, although we know Edward is gone for a large part of it. I absoluted loved Kristen and Rob in their roles. Jacob does a great job also. But I think Rob really pulls off the tormented Edward very well. Loved the movie- saw it 3 times already, just to see what I missed in the first viewing.

Although some parts were choppy and others were hard to follow, I felt that they did a great job condensing a long book into a decent length movie. I loved the movie and I have even seen it twice now. It was funny, romantic and exciting. Do not over-analyze the differences between the book and the movie.

I was hoping that the movie would have been like the books, with Bella's clumsiness & her goodness to take care of her father, and more blushing. Those things come up later! But Edward looked awesome! I would recommend this movie to friends, as I have done with the books. 4 people besides me addicted! Mission accomplished!

I did like Twilight but I have some mixed feelings about it. The movie is better understood if you have read the book. I highly suggest that you read the book, if you haven't it might seem odd to you, my analogy of it is: The Twilight movie is like your child, you love it cause you know it well and it's "yours" but there are lots of things that make you angry and that you sometimes just don't like but you still love it anyway.

I really liked this movie. Not knowing what we were in for and our teenagers wanted to see it, here we go!! I felt it was a Love story and the way they resisted and waited for the first kiss was AWESOME!!! Iloved his comment about how his love for her was like a high on Cocaine, it just sounded sweet and sexy.

I tried to go into this movie without comparing it to the book. Although I still think the book was better, this was a pretty good adaptation. Rob Pattinson was perfectly cast as Edward. His performance makes up for the cheesy scene in the forest/meadow. I also thought that Emmett and Rosalie were cast very well.
Kristen Stewart and Pattinson had good chemistry that left you wanting more. I definitely hope they make New Moon.

I wasn't too thrilled by the trailers of this movie, having been a fan of the book series, however, i came out a fan of the movie also. It was surprisingly, refreshingly good. I would definitely recommend it ... especially if you've read the books ... it makes everything come alive when you see it.

I thought the movie was fabulous. I haven't read the books, but was still enraptured. I thought the classic love story was very "hip" and beautiful. My 2 daughters, ages 12 & 13, and their 2 friends absolutely LOVED it!!!! They are hopelessly in love with Edward. They were in love with him from the book and they are even more so now from the movie. The casting appears to have worked for them. A definite must-see movie for anyone who loves romance drama!!

So yeah, I was definately freaked out about how the movie was going to compare to the book after seeing some horrible disasters like Ella Enchanted and The Other Bolyen Girl, but I was really surprised at how awesome Twilight was. I totally loved it! I thought the actors were terrific- especially Jasper who played the part perfectly. The best scene was definately the baseball scene but the scene where Edward and Bella first arrive at school as a couple was great too. I do wish they had put in the biology blood testing scene, as well as included Alice in the story more at the end, but overall the movie was fantstic and everyone should go see it!! :)

I was very disappointed with this movie. I LOVED the books but thought the film was a total let-down. The acting was mediocre, the make-up awful and the special effects were way below par for what we should expect to see in 2008. I thought the chemistry between Bella and Edward was not good at all. I understand that they have to change and eliminate parts of the story to go from book to movie, but I found the whole thing disjointed and weird to watch.
I'd recommend it to a friend to watch on RedBox or once it's out on DVD. Not worth paying the theater price.

I feel I can speak for the minority this early in the release since I am a man and and never read the book. If you are concerned you will be lost without reading the book before, you have nothing to fear. I comprehended every theme and concept in the movie that my friends that read the book caught. They said it was very accurate. I thoroughly enjoyed it, especially the special effects and awesome fight sequences. Great movie for anyone!

I thought the movie was filmed in an arresting and lush style that captured the tone of the book. I went to the first showing of it and hadn't heard much about it beforehand. I was shockingly surprised at how good it was! They followed the dialogue and descriptions from the book very closely. The book followed a slow and gradual build in the relationship and sexual tension of Bella and Edward, but the movie missed out on this. That's the only part that I thought they didn't get right. Edward was slow to warm up to Bella and when he did, Bella kept pushing him too far, not realizing the danger she was putting both of them in. Other than that, I thought it was a slam dunk.

There were added scenes in the movie not in the book and scenes that should have been included in the movie that were very important in the book. All of the actors did a decent job as the characters, although the actor who portrayed Rosalie wasn't quite right. I do think that people who haven't read the book before may be more inclined to read the series now after seeing the movie.

i felt two hours was kinda short for the movie. they lived up to the book though i hope they could have prolonged the meadow scene and the romance between the two star-crossed lovers. well, it's a twilight thing. so, if you loved the books..you will appreciate the movie. hope they will even do better in the next sequels. really..really loved the movie! i will surely and definitely watch it again.

I am a huge twilight fan. Before the movie I had seen several clips that seemed a little cheesy and then read some negative reviews, so I had extremely low expectations when i saw it. The movie ended up being much better then I expected. The special effects were weak, and some of the music only added cheesiness. The love story is definitely what came through and the tone of the movie held true to the book throughout. At the end of the two hours, I couldn't believe it was already over!! Even with difficult lines, Kristen and Robert were convincing. However, I was totally surprised by Billy Burke's perfect performance as Charlie. He was probably the best actor in this movie.
