So I am 23 and a mom I read all the time and twilight is my #1 favorite book that being said yes it wasn't exactly like the book. But what did you expect, they can't make a 8 hour movie (even if all of us would sit threw it lol). I loved it!!! There were some scenes I wish were in the movie but all in all I am just so happy that they were able to turn my favorite book into some kind of a movie. On that note this movie is a must see for anyone who wants to be in love or a little laugh. Thank you Summit. For the fans I got an email from Summit saying that New Moon is going to be made starting ASAP!!!

I was a little disappointed with the movie. The movie missed a few important points from the book. I wanted to hear more narration from Bella because I didn't feel like the audience knew how Bella really felt towards Edward at all, or how extremely protective Edward is of her. The movie moved too quickly from one point to another. And it's impossible to understand a few parts of the movie if you haven't read the book. I HIGHLY recommend reading the book before seeing the movie. But don't have too high of an expectation because you might get disappointed. Nonetheless, I AM happily satisfied. I have been waiting for this day since I first put my hands on the TWILIGHT series. I will definitely watch it again no doubt!

I thought that many of the scenes that were supposed to be serious were actually really funny. I was upset that they didn't include many scenes;blood testing in science, sitting at a separate table in the cafateria, and many more.
The movie went by really fast and Kristen Stewart didn't have good chemistry with Robert.
I hate how it took them 10 gajillion minutes to kiss and how Charlie has a mustache. The woman who played Victoria should have had redder hair.
Overall, I thought it was really good and if you didn't read the book first then you would have liked it more because then you wouldn't notice all the missing pieces.

Although this movie was virtually nothing like my inturputation of the book, I did enjoy it. I think Bella and Edward were played by the perfect actors, I just feel like the scenes were rushed.

As an avid reader and obsessed fan of the Twilight Saga, I was both excited and apprehensive about this movie. Luckily, I was heavily rewarded for my excitement as the opening credits rolled, excitement crashed down on me in waves throughout the entire film. Though the script deviated from the book in many places, the movie made the investment in time and money well worth it, many times over. Robert Pattinson turned out to be the perfect Edward, right down to the dazzling eyes and perfect porcelain face. Every female will go home after watching Twilight to dream that Edward would come watch over her, to be her guardian vampire. Edward will be on the hearts, minds, and, especially, lips of those dreamers.

of course, like most teens, i am an avid twilight reader. i came into the movie thinking that it would be totally different from the book, but found that i was pleasently surprised. the acting and the story was great, and i dont think they could have made it better!!! cant wait for new moon to come out!!!!!

I saw Twilight with my daughter and her best friend. We had all read the book prior to seeing it. We ALL thought the movie was fantastic. The book is much more detailed, but we realize that if they put everything in the movie, it would end up 20 hours long!
I am disappointed with many of the reviews of movie goers who didn't like the show. I believe they went with preconceived ideas of what the characters should look like in their own imagination from reading the book. They needed to have an open mind, and then they would have enjoyed it! I thought the acting was excellent.
We can't wait for a second movie, and we definitely are recommending it to everyone---after they read the book!
ENJOY!!!!! KEEP AN OPEN MIND!!!!

I had low expectations when I went to see the movie for many reasons. One I did not think Robert Pattinson would be a good Edward. Boy was I wrong!!! He was AWESOME! I left in love with him and the rest of the cast. They did a great job picking the cast. I love that Stephenie Meyers was in the movie too. I cannot wait for the sequel. The only thing I did not like was how they made Edward sparkle. He looked like someone through glitter all over him.

Im not sure if this movie will draw in non book fans or not. But as a fan I really enjoyed it a lot. My husband thought it was too long, and the special effects sucked (they kinda did, but they had a very small buget) but he liked the baseball scene and the stunt driving in Port angeles.

Although some scenes from the book were left out, it was an amazing movie. It was hilarious but so believable. The actors were fantastic. I didn't think that it would be very good because nothing could be as good as the book, but it blew me away!

I have been obsessed with the Twilight series and did not know what to expect from the movie. How was this going to come across as a movie? I was pleasantly surprised. I thought it started out a little slow but it was good overall. Besides Edward and Bella I liked Alice the best. The bad vampires were great and the additional story lines helped flesh out the characters. I thought some scenes could have been a little better but again good overall. I am planning to see it again.

Not nearly as good as the book. They should have done a TV series instead of a feature film. There just wasn't enough time to fit the characters and story line together. Their relationship happened too fast in the movie for me to believe that they were serious about eachother. It felt like I was watching a preview for the book instead. Kinda disappointing.

I enjoyed the movie. The scenery was breathtaking. I read the book and was worried that the the actors would not capture the characters and I was so happy to see I was wrong. I would even be happy if they made it into a series that would be awesome but, I would be satisfied with a sequel. Please make a sequel!!!!

I really did love this movie. I've already seen it twice! There are only two things from the book that I wanted to see that weren't in the movie and frankly they were not relative to the story, just my preference for the visual! I thought that the way they made it fit into the 2 hours and still tell the right story was brilliant. GO SEE IT!!!

I have read all 4 books and was happy to see they did a wonderful adaptation without sexing it up much! The books were intended for teenagers and I was afraid once Hollywood got ahold of it I wouldn't be able to take my teenager.
I think they did a wonderful job and actually packed more into the movie than I thought they would be able to!

I really enjoyed this movie. I usually am looking at my watch at some point in a movie wondering when the movie will end, this movie I didn't. I was excited to see what parts of the book were included and what were left out. My daughter said her favorite part of the book was left out but that she loved the movie too. We both will go to see it again in the movie theater which is not something I usually do. I am very excited that the "okay" for the second movie has been announced. I just hope I don't have to wait too long.

The film was great. My friends and I had a great escape with both the books and the movie. However, I wish there would have been more emphasis placed on the strong connection/relationships between Bella and the Cullens. Now that it has been proven fans want it hopefully each film will offer even more of the story with the next films. I don't think any fan will object an even longer show.

If I hadn't read the books, I probably would have loved this movie. However I did read the books and there were certain things that were missing. The movie was good, but they might as well have called it "The Movie Loosely Based On Twilight" because of the changes they made. The acting was good, but some of the casting could have been better. Hopefully New Moon will redeem the first film, but I doubt it. Twilight fans, don't let the movie get to you! Enjoy how funny it is that it doesn't follow the book that much and you'll like it much more.

Granted, it was not totally following the book, this movie brough the characters to life and you felt the love between Edward and Bella because they were "human". I loved it and would not give this movie any less than 5 out of 5 stars!

I'm reading the fourth book now and thoroughly enjoyed the movie. The only character (to me) that didn't fit the book's description was Mike. Jacob was amazingly hot and Dr. Cullen took my breath away. I couldn't concentrate on the movie so much and got the biggest thrill from listening to all the girls in the theater oohing and ahhing over Edward. My older son (16) started book one and my middle son (14) hasn't read it, yet. However, they were really surprised that they enjoyed the movie, too. Looking forward to more movies to bring this story back to life. I will go see this again.

This movie was a romantic thrill or a thrill of romance ether way it was great i would offer for some one to see it any time. I would see it again and again and again, the actors did a great job keeping the illusion of the vampires and the emotion of the roler coster ride of this movie. I can't whate to see the second movie to this asome series.

I have read the Twilight book several times and watching the movie was a little difficult for me. It felt kind of scetchy and a bit cheesy. However, it was a good movie. The director definitly cast all of the parts perfectly. One of the downfalls for me was not from the actual movie but from an interview I saw of "Edward and Bella" on TV. Kristen Stewart came off as a very condescending, self richteous person and it showed through in her portral of Bella. The look was perfect, the attitude was not. I hope it changes for the sequels because everything else was perfect!!!! Enjoy!

I have read the series and loved it! I thought the movie did a good job of keeping the story intact for the time it had. For those who haven't read the book they might not understand some things but most likely will still enjoy the story. I am a huge Twilight fan. Please don't get me wrong. The movie was good but I had really high expectations. Dr. Cullen had a bad highlight job. Rosalie wasn't what I expected. Edward's clothes should have been a little more like the book. Jacob Black was cute but not what I expected. The plot was a little thin but so was the plot in the first book. The series could probably be made into 2 movies. I am still a huge fan and would recommend the books and the movie.
